Makeup can include powders, liquids, gels, and meltable solids, which may be intended to be applied to the skin (e.g., face, hands, or other body parts). High temperatures can cause degradation in makeup quality, composition, or consistency, and also cause a mess (e.g., melting, softening, or other changes in physical properties or state). It would be desired to store makeup in a cooled environment, that is portable, and readily accessible for a person (e.g., on the move, or in various locations). Accordingly, the systems and bags of the present disclosure are directed to providing a cooled region for storage of makeup and other items, and optionally providing electronic functionality to further increase functionality.
In some embodiments, the present disclosure is directed to a medium-size make up bag (e.g., about 8″ h×4″ D×4″ w, or otherwise handheld). In some embodiments, the bag includes a removable handle, strap, or other feature to carry. The bag may be constructed of fabric, plastic, composites, any other suitable material, or any combination thereof. To illustrate, the bag may be rectangular with a relatively flat shape (e.g., such that it can fit within a pocket or otherwise slim space).
In some embodiments, one side of bag 100 is configured to house a thin, rectangular shaped, reusable ice bag. For example, bag 100 may include a pocket or pouch into which an ice bag (e.g., having any suitable shape or contour) or any other suitable cooling component 191 (e.g., a Peltier cooler, a chemical cooler, or any other suitable cooler) may be inserted. In a further example, the pocket may be water-proof or water-resistant, the ice-bag may be waterproof, or a combination thereof (e.g., to prevent or otherwise limit water from seeping into the makeup bag). In a further example, the ice bag may be refillable (e.g., may be opened/closed, or otherwise include one or more ports).
In some embodiments, bag 100 includes an outer surface having a flat profile on which labels, text, patches, stitching, or other technique for applying a graphic may be applied. For example, bag 100 may include a pocket or flap for storing a cell phone, and the exterior surface of the pocket or flap may include text applied as a patch, writing, embroidery, or any other suitable technique.
In some embodiments, bag includes zipper 107 arranged on top side 110. In some embodiments, bag 100 includes a flat bottom (e.g., bottom 103) so that it will stand straight up on a surface (e.g., a tabletop or desktop). For example, a bag may include one or more sidewalls (e.g., two opposing sidewalls) and a bottom (e.g., resulting in at least three faces). In some embodiments, a bag includes two sidewalls that join at the bottom and interface at the top with a zipper or other suitable feature configured to provide access and close the bag (e.g., top 110 need not be included, resulting in a more triangular cross-sectional shape).
In some embodiments, the bag is made of plastic, fabric, rubber, or a combination thereof (e.g., a composite, layered stack, or coated material), having any suitable coating or finish. For example, the bag may be made of neoprene or any other suitable waterproof material.
In some embodiments, the exterior surface of the bag is configured to withstand heat and moisture (e.g., from the environment). For example, each of walls 101 and 102 may be insulative, or otherwise include insulative layers to prevent heat from transferring from the atmosphere to the interior of bag 100.
In some embodiments, the bag is configured to house a universal USB port to charge phones or other electrical devices. For example, the bag may include one or more pockets having one or more holes through which a USB connector may be inserted.
In some embodiments, the present disclosure is directed to an apparatus such as bag 100 for storing makeup products. In some embodiments, the apparatus includes a bottom side (e.g., bottom 103) having a flat face, a top side (e.g., top 110) configured to provide access to an inner volume, at least two walls (e.g., walls 101 and 102), and a pocket (e.g., pocket 104) configured to store a cooling component configured to remove heat from an inner volume. In some embodiments, the bottom side, top side, and at least two walls form the inner volume, and wherein the bottom side, top side, and at least two walls form a clutch purse.
