Abstract

The present disclosure generally relates to furniture decorations, particularly, to a detachable event chair pediment. In some aspects, a decorative pediment is configured to attach to the top of an event chair, wherein the decorative pediment is configured to enhance the visual appeal of the event chair and wherein the style of the event chair is at least one of Napoleon chair, Chiavari chair, ghost chair, cross-back chair, throne chair, chameleon chair, folding chair, banquet chair, padded chair, plastic chair, wooden chair, barstool, lounge chair, director’s chair, rocking chair, hammock chair, swing chair, egg chair, or Papasan chair and a fastening device is configured to attach and detach the decorative pediment to the event chair and wherein the fastening device comprises at least one of zip ties, Velcro, bolts, adhesive, screws, tape, duct tape, clamps, suction cups, or half-tube.

BACKGROUND

1. Technical Field

The present disclosure generally relates to furniture decorations, particularly, to a detachable event chair pediment.

2. Introduction

Decorative chairs may be used at various events to impact the overall experience and atmosphere. For example, traditional wooden chairs with intricate carvings and elegant details can add a touch of sophistication and formality to a wedding or gala. Modern and minimalist chairs with clean lines can create a sleek and contemporary vibe for a corporate event or conference. The style of a chair can elevate the overall ambiance and guest experience, making the event more memorable and enjoyable.

Some aspects of the present technology may relate to the gathering and use of data available from various sources to improve safety, quality, and experience. The present disclosure contemplates that in some instances, this gathered data may include personal information. The present disclosure contemplates that the entities involved with such personal information respect and value privacy policies and practices.

There are several different types of decorative chairs that can be used for events, each with its own unique style and functionality. One popular option is the Chiavari chair, which is a classic and elegant chair that originated in Italy. These chairs are typically made of wood and come in a range of colors, including, but not limited to, gold, silver, black, and white. They may be used for formal events such as weddings and galas. Another popular option is the ghost chair, which is a modern and transparent chair made of polycarbonate material. These chairs may be used for contemporary or minimalist events and can give the illusion of more space in a room. Another option may be the cross-back chair, which is a rustic and charming chair made of wood with a distinctive X-shaped back. These chairs may be used for outdoor or barn-style events and give a rustic and vintage feel to the space. They may come in a range of wood finishes including, but not limited to, natural wood, white, and dark wood. Another example is the throne chair which may be used for events such as proms, quinceañeras, and weddings. These chairs may have a tall back and are upholstered in luxurious fabrics with intricate detailing. They can add a regal and majestic feel to the event and may be used as a focal point or for photo opportunities. There are several types of decorative chairs that can be used for events, ranging from classic and elegant to modern and minimalistic, to rustic and vintage, to regal and dramatic. The choice of chair depends on the style and theme of the event, as well as personal preference and budget. Additional examples of an event chair may include, but are not limited to, Napoleon chair, chameleon chair, folding chair, banquet chair, padded chair, plastic chair, wooden chair, barstool, lounge chair, director’s chair, rocking chair, hammock chair, swing chair, egg chair, and Papasan chair.

The present disclosure discloses a chair pediment as a decorative embellishment which may be attached and detached to a chair or event chair. As described herein, the term pediment (also chair pediment, event chair pediment, decorative event chair pediment) is used to describe a decorative structure of any geometric shape (e.g., a triangular shape) which may be attached to an event chair. As described herein, the term decorative event chair is used to describe an event chair with an attached pediment. The chair pediments may be made out of various materials including, but not limited to, urethane, polyurethane, mirrored glass, acrylic glass, plastic wood, and rhinestones/gems. Those skilled in the art will appreciate different types of materials which may be used to create a chair pediment. As described herein, the term decorative chair pediment is used to describe a chair (also event chair) that has a pediment attached to it.

As described in the present disclosure, the event chair pediments are detachable and re-attachable. The difference between a regular chair pediment and an event chair pediment is that the pediments on regular chairs are permanently affixed. The event chair pediments as described herein are not affixed and are removable (e.g., they may be attached and detached as frequently as required). There may be different chair pediment designs which can be swapped for the event chair which enables a different aesthetic or look for a chair for various events. Examples of various events for event chairs may include, but are not limited to, weddings, graduations, funerals, church gatherings, birthday parties, anniversary parties, social gatherings, religious events, gender-reveal parties, Christmas parties, etc. Those skilled in the art will appreciate various events which may use a decorative event chair.

FIG. 1 illustrates an example decorative event chair 100 with attached pediment 102, according to some aspects of the disclosed technology. The event chair pediment 102 may be attached to the event chair 104 in at least two different methods. In some cases, an event chair pediment 102 may include a half-tube attaching mechanism that may latch onto a chair’s 104 bar. The half-tube may be screwed onto the chair pediment 102 with a single screw and the half-tube may then be attached to the chair’s 104 bar. In some cases, the chair pediment 102 may be fastened to a chair 104 using zip ties (also cable ties, wire ties). There may be two slits in a chair pediment 102 for the zip ties to go through in order to secure the chair pediment 102 onto the chair 104. In some aspects, example materials for zip ties may include, but are not limited to, plastic, nylon, polypropylene, PVC, Tefzel, and stainless steel. In some cases, both the half-tube mechanism may be used in combination with zip ties to attach chair pediment 102 to chair 104. In addition to attaching the chair pediment 102 to chair 104 using a half-tube and/or zip ties, other methods may also be used. For example, fastening methods to attach chair pediment 102 to chair 104 may include, but are not limited to, Velcro, bolts, adhesive, screws, tape, duct tape, clamps, and suction cups. In addition, any permutation or combination of fastening methods may be used (e.g., Velcro and tape, zip ties and clamps, etc.) Those skilled in the art will appreciate additional examples (e.g., fastening device) of fastening a chair pediment 102 to chair 104 to create a decorative event chair. The chair pediments 102 may be attached to the top of the chair 104, the back of the chair 104, the middle of the chair 104, and the bar at the bottom of the chair 104. As described above, the chair pediments 102 may come in a variety of designs, shapes, and colors.

FIG. 2 illustrates another example decorative event chair 200 with attached pediment 202, according to some aspects of the disclosed technology. As described above, pediments 202 may be various shapes and styles including, but not limited to, gable, triangular shape, classical, neoclassical, and baroque. As described in the present disclosure, any style, shape, material, color may be used for pediment 202.

FIG. 3 and FIG. 4 illustrate two example chair pediments 300 and 400, respectively, according to some aspects of the disclosed technology. FIG. 4 illustrates zip ties 402 as a methodof attaching a pediment 402 to a chair. However, as described above, various other methods may also be used.

For example, the principles herein apply equally to optimization as well as general improvements. Various modifications and changes may be made to the principles described herein without following the example embodiments and applications illustrated and described herein, and without departing from the spirit and scope of the disclosure.

Claims

1. A system comprising:

a decorative pediment configured to attach to the top of an event chair, wherein the decorative pediment is configured to enhance the visual appeal of the event chair and wherein the style of the event chair is at least one of Napoleon chair, Chiavari chair, ghost chair, cross-back chair, throne chair, chameleon chair, folding chair, banquet chair, padded chair, plastic chair, wooden chair, barstool, lounge chair, director’s chair, rocking chair, hammock chair, swing chair, egg chair, or Papasan chair;

a fastening device, wherein the fastening device is configured to attach and detach the decorative pediment to the event chair and wherein the fastening device comprises at least one of zip ties, Velcro, bolts, adhesive, screws, tape, duct tape, clamps, suction cups, or half-tube.
