Underwater Internet of Things Coonectivity
The invention discloses a wireless underwater IOT (Internet of Things) system. The underwater IOT system comprises a deep-water sensor with fast underwater wireless communication built in a deep-water drone. The underwater sensor and drone are used as a node unit. The underwater IOT system is formed by the sensor with wireless communication built into an aquatic underwater vehicle. It is designed with blue LED with a receive and transfer data module. This is used as an information transfer component between both node units. The information is then relayed to a phone or website application.

TECHNICAL FIELDThis is the technical field of the invention, Internet of things system under water. The invention, an Internet of things system under water comprises deep water sensor with wireless communication modem, a drone with a housing, a propulsion system, electromotors, a camera, wireless transponder, a battery, microcontroller unit and a control hardware unit. The system is designed with bidirectional blue LED receiving and transmitting modules to process and transfer information received from the drone and wireless sensor to a phone or website application.
BACKGROUND TECHNOLOGYThe development of wireless communication technology has expanded into new technology like Internet of things. Internet of Things is basically technology transferred from people to things but there are still a lot of challenges for wireless internet connection underwater. Communicating reliably under water is difficult. It is known to use VLF electromagnetic communication (up to 10 KHz), but this requires high power and large antennae, and so is limited to communications involving ships and submarines, being inapplicable for personal use. For short range communication ultrasonic waves in the region of 20 to 600 KHz may be employed. Nevertheless, signal transmission is subject to Doppler effects, non-linear speed of propagation (for example due to different regions of water density and temperature), multipath propagation (also known as reverberation), fading and other environmental disturbances including noise and other acoustic sources.
SUMMARYThe invention is an underwater IOT system comprising a drone with a wireless communication sensor and high-bright blue LED is adopted as a light emitting unit carrying bidirectional data and information. It is equipped with a blue LED receiving and transmitting module. The invention is a submersible aquatic drone designed with deep water sensor to be used to explore and detail aquatic environments. The submersible aquatic drone comprises deep water sensor, a housing, a propulsion system, electromotor, a camera, wireless transponder, a battery, a microcontroller unit, and a control hardware unit. The sensor, a line of optical modems that are compact, power efficient, and operate from the splash zones down to 6'000-meter depth with a communication speed of up to 10 Mbit/s and the range of up to 50 meters. The sensor is designed with modems that are lightning fast. They can send data at up to 10 Mbit/s bandwidth enabling truly HD-quality video transfer wirelessly through water in real time. The sensor penetrates air to water barrier with no effort, making it a great alternative to cables in extremely unforgiving splash zone conditions. This reduces or eliminates three problems of low underwater communication reliability, high cost and high-frequency modulation difficulty.
