There are additional features of the disclosure that will be described hereinafter and which will form the subject matter of the claims appended hereto.

The objects of the disclosure, along with the various features of novelty which characterize the disclosure, are pointed out with particularity in the claims annexed to and forming a part of this disclosure.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF SEVERAL VIEWS OF THE DRAWING(S)

The disclosure will be better understood and objects other than those set forth above will become apparent when consideration is given to the following detailed description thereof. Such description makes reference to the annexed drawings wherein:

FIG. 1 is a front view of a double-d handle accessory device according to an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 2 is a top isometric view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 3 is a side view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 4 is a top view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

FIG. 5 is an in-use view of an embodiment of the disclosure.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

With reference now to the drawings, and in particular to FIGS. 1 through 5 thereof, a new exercise assist device embodying the principles and concepts of an embodiment of the disclosure and generally designated by the reference numeral 10 will be described.

As best illustrated in FIGS. 1 through 5, the double-d handle accessory device 10 generally comprises a base 12. The base 12 has a first surface 14 and a second surface 16. The first surface 14 and the second surface 16 are positioned parallel to each other. The base 12 has a pair of ends 18. Additionally, the base 12 has a center 20. The center 20 is positioned in between each of the ends 18 of the base 12. An aperture 22 is positioned in the center 20 of the base 12 and is configured for inserting a carabineer clip 24 within. The carabineer clip 24 is connected to a cable assembly 26 for exercise.

A plurality of supports 28 is positioned on the first surface 14 and the second surface 16 of the base 12. A pair of first supports 30 of the plurality of supports 28 is positioned on a respective one of each of the ends 18 of the base 12. Each of the first supports 30 protrudes out from the first surface 14 and is positioned at a downward angle relative to the base 12. A pair of second supports 32 of the plurality of supports 28 is positioned on the second surface 16 of the base 12. Each of the second supports 32 is positioned on a respective one of each of the ends 18 of the base 12. Each of the second supports 32 protrudes out from the second surface 16 and is positioned at a downward angle relative to the base 12. The pair of second supports 32 mirrors the pair of first supports 30 relative to the base 12 to create a v-shape between each of the supports 28. Each of the supports 28 has the cylindrical shape and an end 34.

A pair of handles 36 is positioned at the end 34 of the plurality of supports 28. Each of the handles 36 is positioned parallel relative to each other. The pair of handles 36 is coupled to a respective one of each of the first supports 30 and each of the second supports 32. Each of the handles has a cylindrical shape and is configured for providing a grip for the user 38 while exercising.

A duct 40 is positioned between each of the handles 36. The duct 40 is a semi-tubular conduit and is configured for cradling a barbell 42 during exercise. The duct 40 is coupled to a pair of connectors 44. Each of the connectors 44 is coupled to a respective one of the pair of first supports 30 and a respective one of the pair of second supports 32. Each of the connectors 44 is positioned on a respective one of each of the ends 18 of the base 12. The pair of connectors 44 is configured for distributing force applied to the duct from the barbell 42.

In use, the aperture 22 in the center 20 of the base 12 can be connected to a carabineer clip 24 attached to the cable assembly 26. The user 38 can perform exercises such as a pulling down the double-d handle accessory device 10. Furthermore, the double-d handle accessory device 10 can be removed from the carabineer clip 24 and flipped over to nest the barbell 42 within the duct 40 of the double-d handle accessory device 10. Subsequently, the user 38 can grab the pair of handles 36 to pull the barbell 42 upward for exercise.

With respect to the above description then, it is to be realized that the optimum dimensional relationships for the parts of an embodiment enabled by the disclosure, to include variations in size, materials, shape, form, function and manner of operation, assembly and use, are deemed readily apparent and obvious to one skilled in the art, and all equivalent relationships to those illustrated in the drawings and described in the specification are intended to be encompassed by an embodiment of the disclosure.

Therefore, the foregoing is considered as illustrative only of the principles of the disclosure. Further, since numerous modifications and changes will readily occur to those skilled in the art, it is not desired to limit the disclosure to the exact construction and operation shown and described, and accordingly, all suitable modifications and equivalents may be resorted to, falling within the scope of the disclosure. In this patent document, the word “comprising” is used in its non-limiting sense to mean that items following the word are included, but items not specifically mentioned are not excluded. A reference to an element by the indefinite article “a” does not exclude the possibility that more than one of the element is present, unless the context clearly requires that there be only one of the elements.
