FIG. 6 shows an illustrative perspective view of the coil winding device 8 of the product packaging tape winding device according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.

Referring generally to FIGS. 1-6, a product packaging tape winding device is disclosed. The product packaging tape winding device includes a moving bracket 83, a rotating shaft 85 and two groups of reels 80. The rotating shaft 85 is rotatably mounted on the moving bracket 83 and has two shaft parts extending from both sides of the moving bracket. Two groups of reels 80 are respectively installed on the two shaft parts of the rotating shaft 85 to rotate with the rotating shaft 85.

In the illustrated embodiment, when one group of reels 80 in two groups of reels has already fully wound with the product packaging tape 3, the moving bracket 83 is moved to move the one group of reels 80 from the working position to the standby position, and move the other group of reels 80 from the standby position to the working position, so that the other group of reels can continue to coil the product packaging tape 3. The moving bracket 83 is moved in a first horizontal direction, and the rotation axis 85 rotates around a horizontal axis parallel to the first horizontal direction.

After one group of full reels 80 that has been fully wound with the product packaging tape 3 is moved to the standby position, the group of full reels is removed from the shaft part of the shaft 85, and a group of empty reels 80 is installed on the shaft part of the shaft. That is, the group of full reels 80 is replaced with the group of empty reels 80. Each group of reels 80 includes a plurality of reels arranged side by side, and each reel has a mounting hole matched with the shaft part of the shaft 85 for installing the reel on the shaft part of the shaft 85.

The product packaging tape winding device also includes two limit pieces 86, which are detachably connected to the ends of the two shaft parts of the shaft 85 to keep the two groups of reels 80 on the two shaft parts of the shaft respectively, so that the two groups of reels cannot be separated from the shaft 85 axially.

The product packaging tape winding device also includes a driving device 81, 82, 87. The driving device 81, 82, 87 is used to drive the moving bracket 83 to move in the first horizontal direction. The driving device 81, 82, 87 includes a fixed bracket 81 on which the moving bracket 83 is movably installed, a drive motor 82 fixedly mounted on the fixed bracket 81, and a transmission mechanism 87 installed on the fixed bracket and connected with the drive motor and the moving bracket. The transmission mechanism 87 is used to convert the rotary motion of the drive motor 82 into the linear motion of the moving bracket 83.

The product packaging tape winding device further includes an adhesive device 7 used to paste an adhesive layer of a double-layer tape 72 onto the front end and the rear end of the product packaging tape 3 that will be wound onto the reel 80. When winding the front end part of the product packaging tape 3, the inner coil and the outer coil (adjacent coils) of the coiled front end part are bonded to each other by the adhesive layer to fix the front end part of the product packaging tape to the reel. When winding the rear end part of the product packaging tape 3, the inner coil and the outer coil (adjacent coils) of the coiled rear end part are bonded with each other by the adhesive layer to prevent the product packaging tape that has been coiled on the reel 80 from loosening.

In the illustrated embodiment, the adhesive device 7 includes: a mounting plate 70; a supply reel 711 which is rotatably mounted on the mounting plate to supply the double-layer adhesive tape 72; a recovery reel 712 which is rotatably mounted on the mounting plate to recover the base material layer 72a of the double-layer adhesive tape; a plurality of rollers 76 which are rotatably mounted on the mounting plate to guide the double-layer adhesive tape along a predetermined path; and a drive mechanism 77 which is installed on the mounting plate and is used to drive the recovery reel to rotate, so as to pull the double-layer adhesive tape to move.

As the front end or the rear end of the product packaging tape 3 is moved to the tape pasting station, the drive mechanism 77 pulls the double-layer tape 72 to move synchronously with the product packaging tape to bond the adhesive layer of the double-layer tape to the front or rear end of the product packaging tape. When the adhesive layer has been bonded to the front or rear end of the product packaging tape 3, the drive mechanism 77 stops dragging the double-layer tape 72, so that the adhesive layer is broken under the pull of the product packaging tape and is separated from the double-layer tape.

The product packaging tape winding device also includes a tape separation device 75, which is fixed on the mounting plate 70 and has a wedge-shaped end 751. The double-layer tape 72 is guided by the rollers 76 through the wedge-shaped end 751 of the adhesive tape separating device 75. When the adhesive layer has been bonded to the front or rear end of the product packaging tape 3, the adhesive layer is cut off by the edge of the wedge-shaped end 751 under the pull of the product packaging tape 3 to separate the adhesive layer from the double-layer tape 72.

In the illustrated embodiment, the product packaging tape winding device also includes a conveying device 4 used to transport the product packaging tape 3 to the reel 80. The conveying device 4 includes: a frame 11; a conveying channel 2 which is installed on the frame and extends to the reel 80; and a drive unit 41, 42 installed on frame and used to drive the product packaging tape to move towards the reel along the conveying channel. The device further includes a base 1 onto which the frame 11 is fixed. In the illustrated embodiment, the base 1 is a movable base with wheels. The drive unit 41, 42 includes a gear 41 rotatably mounted on the frame 11. The gear 41 includes gear teeth 4a suitable for meshing with the positioning holes 3a on the product packaging tape 3. The drive unit 41, 42 further includes a motor 42 fixedly mounted on the frame 11 and connected with the gear 41 for driving the gear to rotate.

The product packaging tape winding device also includes a tensioning device 74. The tensioning device 74 comprises a mounting bracket 742 rotatably mounted on the frame 11, and a tensioning wheel 741 rotatably mounted on the mounting bracket. The product packaging tape 3 passes through the tensioning wheel 741, which applies a predetermined tension force on the product packaging tape using its own weight. The tensioning device 74 is located between the outlet end of the conveying channel 2 and the reel 80.

The conveying channel 2 extends along a second horizontal direction, and the reel 80 rotates around a horizontal axis perpendicular to the second horizontal direction.

An identification device 5 is further provided and installed on the frame 11 to identify a cutting part on the product packaging tape 3 being transported. A cutting device 6 is installed on the frame 11 and is used to cut off the cutting part to cut the continuous product packaging tape 3 into multiple product packaging tapes 3 with predetermined length. In the illustrated embodiment, the identification device 5 is a camera.

The product packaging tape 3 has cavities 31 which are continuously arranged along the length direction of the product packaging tape to accommodate the products. The identification device 5 is used to identify an empty cavity 31 without the product on the product packaging tape 3, and the cutting device 6 is used to cut the identified empty cavity 31.

In another exemplary embodiment of the present invention, a product packaging system is also disclosed. The product packaging system includes: a product packaging device and a product packaging tape winding device. The product packaging device is used to package the products in the cavities 31 of the product packaging tape 3. The product packaging tape winding device is used to coil the product packaging tape 3 that has been packed with products onto the reel 80.

In an exemplary embodiment of the present invention, the product packaging device may include: a product conveying device for conveying products (not shown, for example, connectors) to be packaged; a packaging tape conveying device for conveying the product packaging tape 3; a robot for picking up products from the product conveying device and placing the picked products into the cavities 31 of the product packaging tape; and a plastic packaging device for sealing the products in the cavities of the product packaging tape.
