Description
FIELD OF INVENTION

The present invention relates to a bottle for fluids, and particularly to a plastic bottle. More particularly, the present invention relates to a plastic molded liquid bottle with an improved gripping mechanism.

BACKGROUND OF INVENTION

Plastic bottles used for drinking beverages, such as water, etc., are well known. They are typically molded as a single piece of plastic, e.g., a polyester or polycarbonate, using conventional injection molding techniques. Further, evolution in the plastic/bottle industry took place in the late 90s and early 2000s and bottles with handle or holding mechanism were invented and patented in order to improve the gripping and holding of the bottles.

One of the U.S. Pat. No. 6,695,163B2 discloses a water bottle with an integrally molded handle in which the opening defined by the handle has a contour that corresponds substantially to the contours of the fingers of the hand when the bottle is held during use. The bottle can include a series of ribs and furrows approximately matching the contour of the insides of the fingers that allow the user to securely grip the bottle during use. In a second embodiment the integrally molded handle is attached by a fluted arrangement and can be extended from or collapsed to the sides of the bottle.

Another U.S. Pat. No. 6,237,792B1 discloses a bottle having a handle integral with a back wall and spaced from the plane of the bottom of the bottle, such separation being sufficient to allow a user's fingers to grip the bottle while the bottle is against a flat surface.

It can be seen from the above, that a handle is built either internally or externally on the body of the bottle. Further, it can also be noted from the aforesaid patents that the molding of handles also reduces the water storing capacity of the bottle.

Although the gripping of bottles has been improved drastically by these patented inventions however, bottles of such kind are not so easy to carry—meaning thereby—the end user has to carry such bottles in their hand since the aforesaid bottles cannot be placed perfectly inside the side pocket of the carry bag. In a country like India, where most of the working professionals carry side bags or laptop bags, so it becomes a difficult task for them to place the aforesaid bottles perfectly.

Further, in order to solve the aforesaid problem, many of the researchers and companies have removed the handle and tried to improve the gripping mechanism of the bottle. However, still there is a need to have an improved version of plastic bottles with the improved gripping mechanism.
