STRUCTURAL ELEMENT FOR CONSTRUCTIONS
A structural element for constructions, which works as a beam when placed horizontally and as a column when placed vertically, meant to be used in the field of constructions on light structure, for exterior or interior walls, bridgings etc. The structural element includes a top timber chord, a bottom timber chord with two parallel timber panels in between connected together at 90° through a series of galvanized steel staples.
The invention refers to a structural element for constructions, which works as a beam when placed horizontally and as a column when placed vertically. The invention can be used in the field of constructions on light structure, for exterior or interior walls, bridgings etc.
Brief Summary of the Related ArtIn the construction industry, there are known a lot of solutions for structural elements that can be used both as beams and columns. The known solutions have the following disadvantages:
-
- Cumbersome manufacturing process;
- Reduced structural resistance;
- Buckling and bending risks;
- Risk of splitting of the timber chord due to the displacement of the OSB panel
The technical problem that the invention aims to solve is to realize a structural element easy to manufacture, with a higher structural strength and can be used both as a beam and as a column.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe structural element for constructions, according to the invention, solves the technical problem because it consists of a top timber chord and a bottom timber chord connected by two parallel timber panels oriented at 90° and connected through a series of galvanized steel staples.
The structural element for constructions, according to the invention, has the following ad vantages:
-
- High structural resistance;
- Simplified manufacturing process;
- High versatility as a structural element;
- Reduced manufacturing costs.
There is presented below an example of practical realization of the structural element for construction, related to
The structural element for constructions consists of a top timber chord 1, a bottom timber chord 2 with two parallel timber panels 3 in between connected together at 90° through a series of galvanized steel staples 4.
The top and bottom chords 1 and 2 are made of timber.
The panels 3 are made of timber and have the sectional area bigger than of the pads 1.
Claims
1. A structural element for constructions, wherein, it consists of a top timber chord, a bottom timber chord with two parallel timber panels in between connected together at 90° through a series of galvanized steel staples.
