CROSS REFERENCE TO THE RELATED APPLICATIONS

This application is based upon and claims priority to Chinese Patent Application No. 202223089308.7, filed on Nov. 17, 2022, the entire contents of which are incorporated herein by reference.

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present disclosure relates to the technical field of chairs and, in particular, to a portable folding chair.

BACKGROUND

Folding chairs are commonly used in daily life and outdoor leisure activities and is especially suitable for camping, outings, and other outdoor activities because of its foldability. When purchasing a folding chair for outdoor use, consumers first consider factors such as portability, size for storage, structural stability, and the like of the folding chair.

At present, the common folding chair on the market usually includes a support frame formed by rods and a seat fabric. The support frame is often detachable and foldable. To use the folding chair, the support frame is assembled and covered with the seat fabric. The folding method of the folding chair is simplified by reducing the number of supports. However, this causes the folding chair to be structured unstable and makes it prone to topple easily when in use. On the other hand, a folding chair with a stable structure is cumbersome and inconvenient for disassembly and assembly.

Chinese Patent Application CN216256277U provides a moon chair, including a seat fabric and two chair legs. The chair legs each include an extension tube, a connector, and three support tubes. The extension tube and the three support tubes are detachably connected with the connector. The chair legs are further provided with a limit tube. Two ends of the limit tube are respectively connected with the two connectors. The two chair legs form an X-shaped structure and are respectively located on two sides of a human body. The two chair legs are connected by only one limit tube horizontally provided. When in use, when the user leans against the back of the chair, the center of gravity of the chair lies at the back of the chair, thus making the chair prone to topple backwards. Therefore, the moon chair has low structural reliability and poses a safety hazard while in use.

Chinese Patent Application CN214207802U provides an outdoor folding chair, including four connectors. Lower ends of the four connectors are respectively provided with leg rods and a connecting rod is provided between each two adjacent connectors. Upper ends of two rear connectors are respectively provided with backrest support rods and upper ends of two front connectors are respectively provided with front support rods. The connecting rod is provided between each two adjacent connectors. The connecting rods are connected to form a quadrilateral structure and the support rods and the leg rods are provided above and below four corners of the quadrilateral structure greatly improving the structural reliability of the folding chair. The support rods and the leg rods are connected with the connectors through insertion when in use and are disassembled for storage when not in use. The design involves a large number of rods that are scattered after disassembly, resulting in cumbersome, inconvenient, difficult, and time-consuming assembly and disassembly. In addition, the insertion connection between rods and connectors causes poor structural stability and short service life. When a user sits on the folding chair, the connections between supports are easy to break to make the folding chair fall apart, which poses a potential safety hazard.

SUMMARY

In order to solve the problem of the existing folding chair, that its components are scattered after disassembly and its structural stability is poor due to easy-to-break connections, the present disclosure provides a portable folding chair. The present disclosure is structured simply, reliably, and stably and is simple and convenient for disassembly and assembly.

To solve the above technical problem, the present disclosure adopts the following technical solution.

The portable folding chair includes:

    • four connectors, where a connecting rod is provided between each two adjacent connectors;
    • four support arms, located above the connectors, and each including one end inserted into the connector and the other end configured to install a seat fabric; and
    • four support legs, located below the connectors, and each including one end inserted into the connector and the other end configured to support the portable folding chair on a ground; and
    • where, the connecting rods are fixedly connected with the connectors, and two opposite connecting rods are detachable segmented connecting rods.

In some embodiments, the support legs include two front legs and two rear legs. The two front legs are close to human legs and the two rear legs are close to a human back and the two segmented connecting rods include a connecting rod connecting the two front legs and a connecting rod connecting the two rear legs.

In some embodiments, the two segmented connecting rods each are provided with a two-segment structure, with two segments connected through insertion.

In some embodiments, the front legs are longer than the rear legs. Thus, when the folding chair is placed on the ground, the folding chair can tilt back, which conforms to ergonomics, making a user sitting on the folding chair feel comfortable.

In some embodiments, the support arms and the support legs are detachably connected with the connectors through insertion.

In some embodiments, the two segmented connecting rods and the support arms each are provided therein with an elastic cord. Thus, the components will not be scattered after disassembly, and can quickly be assembled together.

In some embodiments, the portable folding chair further includes a clamping element, where the clamping element is provided on the connecting rod, and is provided therein with a storage slot; and the storage slot is configured to hold the support leg after disassembly.

In some embodiments, the support arms include two front arms and two rear arms. The two front arms are close to the human legs, and the two rear arms are close to the human back; and the rear arms are longer than the front arms.

In some embodiments, the rear arms each are provided with a segmented structure, with segments connected through insertion.

In some embodiments, the portable folding chair further includes the seat fabric, where the seat fabric is made of an Oxford fabric.

Compared with the prior art, the portable folding chair provided by the present disclosure is provided with a stable and reliable rectangular structure formed by the connecting rods and the connectors. In the rectangular structure, two opposite connecting rods are segmented connecting rods and each of them can be disassembled into two parts at a segmenting point. After the support arms and the support legs are disassembled from the connectors, the support legs are held on the clamping elements, thereby preventing the components from being scattered after disassembly. In addition, all detachable components are provided therein with the elastic cord, such that the components can be quickly assembled during assembly. Therefore, the present disclosure simplifies disassembly and assembly and greatly improves efficiency of disassembly and assembly.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE EMBODIMENTS

The present disclosure will be explained in detail below with reference to the drawings.

In order to make the objectives, technical solutions and advantages of the present disclosure clearer, the present disclosure will be further described in detail below with reference to the drawings and embodiments. It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely intended to explain the present application, rather than to limit the present disclosure.

It is understandable for those skilled in the art that in the description of the present disclosure, terms such as “longitudinal”, “transverse” “upper”, “lower”, “front”, “rear”, “left”, “right” “vertical”, “horizontal”, “top”, “bottom”, “inside”, and “outside” indicate the orientation or position relationships based on the drawings. They are merely intended to facilitate and simplify the description of the present disclosure, rather than to indicate or imply that the mentioned system or components must have a specific orientation or must be constructed and operated in a specific orientation. Therefore, these terms should not be construed as a limitation to the present disclosure.

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the present disclosure provides a portable folding chair.

The folding chair includes four connectors 1. Connecting rod 2 is provided between each two adjacent connectors 1. The connecting rods 2 and the connectors 1 form a rectangular structure. The folding chair further includes support arms and support legs. The support arms are located above the connectors 1. The support arms each include one end inserted into the connector 1 and the other end configured to install seat fabric 7. The support legs are located below the connectors 1, and each include one end inserted into the connector 1 and the other end configured to support the folding chair on a ground. In this embodiment, there are four support legs and four support arms. The support legs include two front legs 4a and two rear legs 4b. The front legs 4a are close to human legs and the rear legs 4b are close to a human back. The support arms include two front arms 3a and two rear arms 3b. Similarly, the front arms 3a are close to the human legs and the rear arms 3b are close to the human back. The support legs, the support arms, and the connecting rods 2 are all circular tubes.

The connecting rods 2 are fixedly connected with the connectors 1. Specifically, the connecting rods 2 and the connectors 1 are fixed by riveting. The connecting rods 2 are connected with the connectors 1 to form the rectangular structure. Two opposite connecting rods 2 each are provided with a detachable segmented structure. That is, the two opposite connecting rods 2 each are spliced in a middle position. Preferably, the two segmented connecting rods 2 are provided with a two-segment structure, and the two segmented connecting rods 2 are respectively the connecting rod connecting the two front legs 4a and the connecting rod connecting the two rear legs 4b. Segments of the connecting rod are connected through insertion. During disassembly, the rectangular structure is disassembled into two roughly C-shaped parts, ensuring the structural stability of the folding chair. Therefore, the portable folding chair is not easy to topple and shake when in use and the tedious disassembly process of multiple connecting rods 2 is avoided.

It can be understood that in this embodiment, the two segmented connecting rods 2 are two horizontally arranged connecting rods. The design improves the stability of the folding chair, such that the portable folding chair is not easy to fall apart when carrying a user. In other embodiments, the two segmented connecting rods 2 may also be two vertically arranged connecting rods, namely the connecting rod 2 connecting the front legs 4a and the connecting rod 2 connecting the rear legs 4b. However, in this case, the stability of the folding chair is reduced, such that the stress is concentrated at the segments when the folding chair carries the user, which will easily cause the folding chair to fall apart. Therefore, this design requires an additional connecting mechanism to be provided between the segments so as to improve stability.

Further, the support arm and the support leg are detachably inserted into the connector 1, making it convenient and efficient for the user to assemble. The two segmented connecting rods 2 and the support arms each are provided therein with elastic cord 5. With the design, the components will not be scattered after disassembly, and can quickly be assembled together. This saves assembly time, and also prevents missing of a component when the folding chair is carried, providing convenience for the user.

Further, in this embodiment, in order to achieve multiple use states of the folding chair, the support legs are not provided with the elastic cord 5. Thus, the user can directly place the rectangular structure formed by the connecting rods on the ground, without assembling the support legs. Meanwhile, in order to facilitate storage of the support legs, the folding chair further includes two clamping elements 6. The clamping element 6 can be clamped with the connecting rod 2. Preferably, the clamping element 6 is clamped with the non-segmented connecting rod 2. The clamping elements 6 each are provided with two storage slots 601. The storage slots 601 are configured to hold the support legs after disassembly. When the folding chair is disassembled, all the support legs and support arms are pulled out, the support legs are placed on the clamping elements 6, and the connecting rods 2 are disassembled and stacked. Finally, the disassembled components are bundled with a cord, an elastic band, a Velcro strap, etc., or put directly into a storage bag. The folding chair is small and portable after disassembly.

Further, in order to make the folding chair more comfortable to use, the rear arms 3b are longer than the front arms 3a. Thus, the back of the folding chair has a certain height, making it easy for the user to lean on the back, thereby improving the comfort of use. Meanwhile, for ease of storage, the two rear arms 3b each are provided with a segmented structure. Preferably, the rear arms 3b each are provided with a three-segment structure, with segments connected through insertion. In this way, the rear arms can be disassembled into multiple segments, which is convenient for storage. Of course, the rear arms 3b may also be provided with other segmented structure, such as a two-segment structure.

Preferably, in this embodiment, the front legs 4a are slightly longer than the rear legs 4b. Thus, when the folding chair is placed on the ground, the folding chair can tilt back slightly, which conforms to ergonomics, making the user sitting on the folding chair feel more relaxed and comfortable. Of course, the front legs 4a may be as long as the rear legs 4b.

Further, the folding chair also includes the seat fabric 7. The seat fabric 7 is made of an Oxford fabric, which has high load-bearing capacity and is comfortable and durable. The seat fabric 7 is provided on top ends of the support arms. After the seat fabric is provided, due to the tension of the seat fabric, the connection between the support arm and the connector is stable, such that the folding chair is not easy to shake. Since the seat fabric 7 is made of a fiber fabric, when a user sits on the seat fabric 7, the folding chair looks crescent-shaped from a side view, so it is also called moon chair.

As shown in FIG. 5, based on the above embodiment, the present disclosure provides another portable folding chair, which omits the clamping element 6, thus reducing the production cost and selling price of the portable folding chair. The portable folding chair can provide customers with another option. That is, the clamping element 6 is configured as an optional accessory for customers. In this embodiment, since the folding chair is not provided with the clamping element 6, the support leg is provided with the elastic cord 5. Thus, the support legs will not be scattered after disassembly. Similarly, after disassembly, the components of the folding chair can be bundled with a cord or a Velcro strap, etc., or put directly into a storage bag, which is convenient for storage.

Compared with the prior art, the portable folding chair provided by the present disclosure is provided with a stable and reliable support structure, and is easy to disassemble and assemble. The portable folding chair prevents the components from being scattered after disassembly, and allows the components to be assembled together quickly, improving efficiency of disassembly and assembly, and achieving small size and portability after disassembly.

The present disclosure is described in detail above. Specific cases are used herein to illustrate the principle and implementation of the present disclosure and the description of the above embodiments is only intended to help understand the core idea of the present disclosure. It should be noted that improvements and modifications may be made by those of ordinary skill in the art without departing from the principle of the present disclosure and these improvements and modifications should also fall within the protection scope of the present disclosure.

Claims

1. A portable folding chair, comprising:

four connectors, wherein a connecting rod is provided between each two adjacent connectors;
four support arms, located above the four connectors, and each comprising a first end inserted into each of the four connectors and a second end configured to install a seat fabric; and
four support legs, located below the four connectors, and each comprising a first end inserted into each of the four connectors and a second end configured to support the portable folding chair on a ground; and
wherein, the connecting rods are fixedly connected with the four connectors, and two opposite connecting rods are detachable segmented connecting rods.

2. The portable folding chair according to claim 1, wherein the four support legs comprise two front legs and two rear legs; and the two detachable segmented connecting rods comprise a connecting rod connecting the two front legs and a connecting rod connecting the two rear legs.

3. The portable folding chair according to claim 2, wherein the two detachable segmented connecting rods each are provided with a two-segment structure, with two segments connected through insertion.

4. The portable folding chair according to claim 2, wherein the two front legs are longer than the two rear legs.

5. The portable folding chair according to claim 1, wherein the four support arms and the four support legs are detachably connected with the four connectors through insertion.

6. The portable folding chair according to claim 5, wherein the two detachable segmented connecting rods and the four support arms each are provided therein with an elastic cord.

7. The portable folding chair according to claim 5, further comprising a clamping element, wherein the clamping element is provided on the connecting rod, and is provided therein with a storage slot; and the storage slot is configured to hold each of the four support legs after disassembly.

8. The portable folding chair according to claim 1, wherein the four support arms comprise two front arms and two rear arms; and the two rear arms are longer than the two front arms.

9. The portable folding chair according to claim 8, wherein the two rear arms each are provided with a segmented structure, with segments connected through insertion.

10. The portable folding chair according to claim 1, further comprising the seat fabric, wherein the seat fabric is made of an Oxford fabric.
