Therapeutic Weighted Bracelet
The weighted bracelet is the only product of its kind that is discrete enough to be worn as a simple hand accessory to ensure users are less bothered by wearing a traditional weight device and therefore will be more likely to leave it on for longer durations. This unprecedented product is uniquely designed to be highly adjustable, can be easily and quickly modified to specific wrist sizes and is carefully crafted with durable high-quality waterproof materials to ensure long-term functionality to a diverse consumer base.
For those who have difficulty controlling their wrists and hands, for instance individuals with Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, etc.; writing, eating, or any other fine motor activities can be an extreme challenge to perform due to the unsteadiness of their muscles. Although weighted hand accessories and sleeves do exist, current designs are incredibly bulky, making them uncomfortable and inconvenient to wear for a long period of time. There have been no products available as original equipment or as an aftermarket to address this problem.
An apparatus that assists individuals with difficulty with hand and wrist control to accomplish fine motor activities more steadily and with better ease in a way that is comfortable and convenient to use over a long period of time, is not being met by any known device or system at present. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONThe main purpose of the therapeutic weighted bracelet is to offer a modern alternative that has the benefit of providing a constant weight, but not the bulkiness and/or the restrictive nature associated with a standard glove or a sleeve.
The disclosed bracelet includes multiple layered disks each having several disks and a concentric center and flanking sides and equal diameters. Silicon bands radially wrapped around each of the plurality of layered disks and equidistantly spaced apart. Bracelet strands comprising a first end and a second flank each of the plurality of layered disks. A slip knot sets a diameter of the bracelet by an opposing pulling force on the first end and the second end.

Although specific embodiments of the invention have been described and illustrated, the invention is not to be limited to the specific forms or arrangements of parts so described and illustrated. The present disclosed therapeutic weighted bracelet, also known as “The Weighted Bracelet”, introduces a novel weighted bracelet that is worn on the dominant wrist of the user to add extra weight for muscle control. Users simply place the weighted bracelet onto their wrists as they would with any other bracelet, and tighten it through the slip knot enclosure or through the band with holes to fasten, as needed, for tightness and a comfortable fit. This avant-garde product is less bothersome than weighted gloves or sleeves, and to further enhance functionality, the weighted bracelet comes in a wide range of weight options, ranging from a half a pound to 1.5 pounds and potentially more, in order to accommodate different user needs and preferences. This innovative, top-quality product ensures a fully operational wrist accessory that benefits all individuals who seek to have better muscle movement control in their wrists.
Although the operations of the method(s) herein are shown and described in a particular order, the order of the operations of each method may be altered so that certain operations may be performed in an inverse order or so that certain operations may be performed, at least in part, concurrently with other operations. In another embodiment, instructions or sub-operations of distinct operations may be implemented in an intermittent and/or alternating manner.
Claims
1. A bracelet comprising:
- a plurality of layered disks each having a plurality of disks and a concentric center and flanking sides and equal diameters;
- a plurality of bands radially wrapped around each of the plurality of layered disks and equidistantly spaced apart;
- a plurality of strands comprising a first end and a second end wherein the plurality of strands flank each of the plurality of layered disks; and
- a slip knot configured to set a diameter of the bracelet by an opposing pulling force on the first end and the second end.
2. The bracelet of claim 1, wherein the plurality of disks comprise metal.
3. The bracelet of claim 1, wherein the plurality of disks comprise stone.
4. The bracelet of claim 1, wherein the plurality of strands comprise a cord material.
5. The bracelet of claim 1, wherein the plurality of strands comprise metallic wire.
6. The bracelet of claim 1, wherein a number of the plurality of disks is based on a custom weight desired for each of the plurality of layered disks.
7. The bracelet of claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of layered disks comprise three of the plurality of disks.
8. The bracelet of claim 1, wherein the plurality of layered disks flank approximately one half of a circumference of the bracelet.
9. The bracelet of claim 1, wherein the plurality of layered disks flank approximately two thirds of a circumference of the bracelet.
10. The bracelet of claim 1, wherein a number of the plurality of layered disks is based on a total weight desired for all of the plurality of disks.
11. The bracelet of claim 1, wherein a number of the plurality of disks for each of the layered disks is equal.
12. The bracelet of claim 1, wherein a number of the plurality of disks for each of the layered disks is unequal.
13. The bracelet of claim 1, wherein the plurality of strands are woven around the flanking sides and through the center of each of the plurality of disks and twisted around each other.
14. The bracelet of claim 1, wherein the plurality of disks are attached to the plurality of strands on the flanking sides of the plurality of disks.
15. The bracelet of claim 1, wherein the plurality of strands are woven around each other and around the flanking sides and through the center of each of the plurality of disks.
16. The bracelet of claim 1, wherein the plurality of bands comprise silicon.
17. The bracelet of claim 1, wherein the plurality of bands comprise cord.
18. The bracelet of claim 1, wherein each of the plurality of disks is coated in silicon.
19. The bracelet of claim 1, wherein the plurality of strands comprise the plurality of bands wrapped around the plurality of disks.
20. The bracelet of claim 1, wherein the plurality of strands and the plurality of bands are continuous.
