SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The following presents a simplified summary in order to provide a basic understanding of some aspects of the disclosed innovation. This summary is not an extensive overview, and it is not intended to identify key/critical elements or to delineate the scope thereof. Its sole purpose is to present some general concepts in a simplified form as a prelude to the more detailed description that is presented later.

The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a combination chewing gum and smoking paper device. The device comprises a body component configured as a storage pack of chewing gum with a plurality of pieces of chewing gum. The individual pieces of gum within the chewing gum pack are wrapped in a gum wrapper, wherein the gum wrapper is a smoking paper. A plurality of gum pieces and a plurality of unused chewing gum wrappers are stored in the gum storage pack, until needed.

In one embodiment, the combination chewing gum and smoking paper device provides a gum wrapper that can also be used as a smoking paper. Specifically, smoking papers are thin sheets of paper specifically designed for rolling cigarettes, joints, or blunts, etc. The smoking papers can be made of wood fibers, and various non-wood or plant fibers, such as wood pulp, hemp, rice, and flax, etc. Each type of smoking paper has distinct characteristics, providing various benefits and drawbacks to fit different preferences. Typically, any of these smoking papers can be used as gum wrappers in the present invention, depending on the needs and/or wants of a user.

For example, rice paper is thin, tasteless, and burns slowly. It's made from rice and other fibers. However, it's very delicate and will easily tear if not handled carefully. It usually comes in small sheets, that can be cut down to size for smoking papers/gum wrappers.

Further, hemp paper is another option since it's lightweight and burns slowly. It has a slightly sweet taste, which users may or may not like. It can be purchased in various sizes and shapes. It's a bit thicker than rice paper, so it holds up better when rolling and a gentle touch is not required.

Additionally, corn husk rolling paper is a bit tougher to work with than rice or hemp paper but can still be done. The corn husks can be pre-dried and cut into the desired size and shape required.

Typically, smoking paper is available in rolls and rectangular sheets of varying sizes and has a narrow strip of glue along one long edge. It may be transparent, colored and/or flavored. For cigarettes, the smoking paper usually has a high filler content and a basis weight of 10-28 g/m. To control the smoking properties, this paper has a porosity that is suited to the type of tobacco and contains additives that regulate burning. One critical paper characteristic is permeability; its primary physical influence is smoke dilution. Among the fillers used are calcium carbonate to influence the permeability and color, magnesium carbonate to improve ash color, or titanium oxide if a particularly white ash is required. However, sometimes users have a need to roll their own tobacco cigarettes or cannabis and also desire to freshen their breath with chewing gum during the process.

In one embodiment, the combination chewing gum and smoking paper device comprises a body component configured as a gum storage pack containing a plurality of pieces of gum covered by a plurality of gum wrappers. The gum wrappers, once the gum is removed, can then be used as smoking papers. A user can then add tobacco or cannabis and a filter and then roll the wrapper like a normal cigarette/joint. Further, the stickiness of the gum can also aid in rolling up the gum wrapper/smoking paper.

In one embodiment, the gum storage pack comprises a rectangular configuration with a top surface, a bottom surface, opposing right and left side walls, and opposing top and bottom side walls. The gum storage pack comprises an interior cavity for retaining a plurality of gum pieces, as well as a plurality of empty gum wrappers. Further, the top side wall allows access to the interior cavity and comprises a paper hinge which folds over the top surface, creating a lid that secures the gum pieces within the interior cavity. In one embodiment, the interior cavity is non-segmented but includes enough room for both pieces of gum and for empty gum wrappers to be stored for later use as smoking papers. In another embodiment, the interior cavity can be segmented into two sections, dividing the pieces of gum and the empty gum wrappers into the separate sections.

In this embodiment, the chewing gum wrappers comprise a body having a bottom surface, a top surface, opposing right and left sides, and opposing top and bottom sides. In one embodiment, the opposing top and bottom sides, as well as the opposing right and left sides are folded in on themselves to cover and protect the piece of gum. Generally, the body of the wrapper is rectangular but can be any suitable size and shape as is known in the art. The gum wrappers/smoking papers can be made of wood fibers, and various non-wood or plant fibers, such as wood pulp, hemp, rice, and flax, etc., or any other suitable ingredients as is known in the art.

In one embodiment, the chewing gum wrapper also comprises an external wrapper layer that is typically a waterproof layer manufactured of waterproof paper, such as aluminum, etc. The waterproof layer is utilized to protect the pieces of gum and the gum wrappers from moisture. In this embodiment, during use, the waterproof layer is disposed of and the gum wrapper/smoking paper is saved in the storage pack for later use.

In use, a user purchases a combination chewing gum and smoking paper device available in different sizes and flavors. The user then opens the gum storage pack and removes a piece of gum. The user can unwrap the piece of gum and save the gum wrapper. The empty gum wrapper can then be placed back into the gum storage pack for later use. After the user is done chewing the gum, a user can then remove a stored empty gum wrapper to roll their tobacco or cannabis. Thus, the user can utilize the gum wrappers as smoking papers for rolling cigarettes and/or joints, etc.

In yet another embodiment, the combination chewing gum and smoking paper device comprises a plurality of indicia.

In yet another embodiment, a method of utilizing gum wrappers to roll cigarettes. The method includes the steps of providing a combination chewing gum and smoking paper device comprising a body component configured as a gum storage pack containing a plurality of pieces of chewing gum. The method also comprises removing a piece of chewing gum from the storage pack and unwrapping it. Further, the method comprises chewing the unwrapped piece of gum. The method also comprises placing the gum wrapper back into the storage pack to store for later use. Finally, the method comprises utilizing the gum wrapper as a smoking paper to roll a cigarette or cannabis.

Numerous benefits and advantages of this invention will become apparent to those skilled in the art to which it pertains, upon reading and understanding the following detailed specification.
