The purpose of this invention is to make a transparent curtain system to prevent the cooking odors from spreading out the kitchen area but being collected and extracted by the kitchen hood. Thanks to this curtain system, the cook can observe the food and easily do the cooking activities such as: stirring, tossing or flipping, etc. The curtains will be rolled when not in use and easily cleaned up.
As shown in the figures, to obtain this goal, the equipment is designed to include two main parts: a frame 2 and curtains 3. The frame 2 is in a center-empty rectangular shape and is connected to the kitchen hood 1 through the bracket 8. At the corner of this frame, there are a driven gear 11 and a drive gear 12 interconnected and synchronized with each other, therefore, when moving, they help the whole curtain rollers 15 rotating to raise or lower the curtains 3 simultaneously.
Referring to the figures, in one embodiment, a cable reel 10 and a turning-braking gear 19 are fixed on the shaft of the drive gear 12. While the curtain 3 is lowered in direction of the arrow 20, the cable reel 10 will wind the cable 13 in direction of the arrow 21, as a result, the tension spring 14 is stretched, and thanks to braking pin 9 combined with turning-braking gear 19, the tension spring 14 will not be retracted thereby the power is restored. When there is a need to raise the curtain 3, the braking pin 9 is pulled out, the tension spring 14 is retracted and the power is released to pull the cable 13 and rotate the cable reel 10. Thanks to that, the drive gear 12 will automatically rotate in reverse direction which allows all system of driven gear 11 and curtain rollers 15 rotate synchronously in reverse direction and the curtain 3 is rolled automatically in direction of the arrow 27. Moreover, the frame 2 fully covers the curtain rollers 15 that brings aesthetics to the equipment.
The curtain part 3 are composed of transparent material, that cover around the cooker and roll around the curtain rollers 15, with the curtain footages 4 which have heavy weight to stretch the curtains 3 to keep the four adjacent edges of the curtains 3 closed to the cooker and minimize the cooking odors to spread out. The footage 4 is fire-proof to prevent the fire or heat-temperature from reaching the curtain and keep the curtain 3 safe. On the curtains 3, there are small slits 7 to help the cook to easily observe, add seasoning or put cooking utensils over to handle food such as stirring, tossing, flipping, etc. Thanks to the curtains 3, the cooking odors will be collected through the hood and processed by the hood. The curtain 3 also helps the grease to be blocked from being splashed out the kitchen area.
Therefore, the present invention provides the auxiliary equipment for kitchen hood to prevent the cooking odors and oil from spreading out the kitchen, in which includes a rectangular frame 2 designed in modular type and curtains 3 which are cover four sides of the cooker and the bracket 8 to attach this equipment to the kitchen hood. The frame 2 consists of four modules that are assembled together, and the curtain roller 15 and curtain 3 are arranged inside these frame modules.
