SHOE SAVER
A shoe saver, for reducing the wear on the foot used for the gas and brake pedals when driving. The shoe saver includes a base shaped similarly to the back of the sole of a shoe, and a vertical portion following the arc of the heel but not the remainder of the base. A strap is used to hold the shoe saver to the ankle of the user.
Normally, when driving, one foot does substantially more work, and therefore performs substantially more motion than the other. In countries with either left-hand or right-hand drive, it is the right foot. In either case, this means the heel of the right shoe wears out substantially before the other shoe, and then the both shoes of the pair are discarded.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTIONA shoe saver, used by placing it behind and under the heel of the foot doing most of the work when driving. It is attached via a strap about the ankle, to avoid it becoming a safety hazard by separating from the user and being in the way in the footwell of the vehicle.

Claims
1. A shoe saver, comprising a base and a vertical portion, wherein the base is flat and includes a rectangular section and an arc which is convex relative to the rectangular section, and the vertical portion follows the arc and has a flat top and sides.
2. The shoe saver of claim 1, further comprising a strap used to hold the shoe saver to the user when in use.
