ORNAMENT
An ornament that does not readily come off the body and is easy to wear a. The ornament has an elastically deforming line shaped member that is bent so that it can be put on a body, and two coupling parts provided at two separated locations on the line shaped member and are detachably coupled to each other. When no external force is applied to the line shaped member, the two coupling parts are close enough to be in contact. When the two coupling parts are coupled, the line shaped member enters a closed state, making it difficult for the line shaped member to come off the body. Furthermore, since the two coupling parts are close enough to be in contact in a state in which no external force is applied to the line shaped member, the two coupling parts that are close to each other may be easily coupled.
The present invention relates to an ornament.
BACKGROUND ARTA bangle is a type of bracelet without a clasp, and is generally configured using a member of a linear shape bent so that it can be put on a wrist or the like. Shapes of bangle include a type in which both ends of the member of a linear shape are connected in a ring shape, and a type in which both ends are detached. A bangle is configured using a relatively hard member, but in the case of the type in which both ends are detached, an elastically deformable member is used so that both ends are separated and passed around the wrist.
The following patent document teaches an ornament (such as a bangle) that is made up of an internally hollow ring shaped body having a free end at both ends. This ornament has a dividing portion that divides an inner wall of the ring shaped body into a ring shape along a longitudinal direction in order to impart structural flexibility to the ring shaped body. This makes it possible to prevent the ring shaped body from being plastically deformed even when both ends of the ring shaped body are spread apart for wearing and removing.

SUMMARY OF INVENTION Problem to be Solved by InventionIncidentally, an ornament (such as a bangle) in which both ends of a line shaped member are not closed as taught in the above patent document, generally, an elastic force of the line shaped member keeps both ends thereof in a close contacting state. This makes it difficult for a gap between both ends of the line shaped body to widen, so that the line shaped body does not easily come off a body (wrist, or the like). However, when the elastic force of the line shaped member cannot be made very strong due to design constraints, or the like, the gap between both ends of the line shaped member easily widens, for example, the gap widens due to clothing or the like coming into contact with an end portion of the line shaped member, and the body (wrist, or the like) easily comes out of the gap. To prevent this, it is conceivable to connect both ends of the line shaped member by a clasp, but this would require an operation to attach and detach the fastener, making it difficult to wear and remove the ornament. In particular, in the case of a bangle, a clasp must be operated using one hand, which has a problem of making it difficult to wear and remove the ornament.
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and has an object to provide an ornament that does not readily come off the body and is easily worn and removed from the body.
Means for Solving ProblemOne aspect of the present invention is an ornament having an elastically deforming line shaped member bent so that it can be put on the body, and two mutually detachably coupled coupling parts provided at two separated locations on the line shaped member, and the two coupling parts are close enough to be in contact in a state in which no external force is applied to the line shaped member.
According to the ornament of the above aspect, when the two coupling parts provided on the line shaped member are coupled, the line shaped member enters a closed state, making it difficult for the line shaped member to come off the body. Furthermore, since the two coupling parts are close enough to be in contact in a state in which no external force is applied to the line shaped member, the two coupling parts that are close to each other may be easily coupled.
Preferably, the line shaped member has a rear surface oriented toward a side facing the body in a state in which it is put on the body, and extending in a longitudinal direction of the line shaped member, and two side surfaces connected to two end edges extending in the longitudinal direction of the rear surface, and one coupling part is provided on one side surface and the other coupling part is provided on the other side surface.
According to this configuration, one coupling part is provided on one side surface of the line shaped member and the other coupling part is provided on the other side surface of the line shaped member, making it difficult for the coupling parts to come into contact with the body on the rear surface side of the line shaped member.
Preferably, the ornament has a decorative member fixed in a region interposed between the two side surfaces of the line shaped member.
According to this configuration, a location at which the decorative member is fixed is a region interposed between the two side surfaces of the line shaped member, so that it is possible to fix the decorative member to the line shaped member without being obstructed by the coupling part, and freedom of decoration increases. Furthermore, since the coupling part is disposed at a location that does not easily obstruct visibility of the decorative member, reduction of aesthetic appearance is suppressed by providing the coupling part.
Preferably, the two side surfaces include two opposing portions that oppose each other in a state in which no external force is applied to the line shaped member, and one coupling part is provided on the opposing portion of one side surface, and the other coupling part is provided on the opposing portion of the other side surface.
According to this configuration, since a respective coupling part is provided to the opposing portion of the two side surfaces that oppose each other in a state in which no external force is applied to the line shaped member, it is possible to simply bring the two coupling parts into contact with each other just by moving one part of the line shaped member so that the opposing portions of the two side surfaces approach each other, and the two coupling parts may be easily coupled.
Preferably, the coupling part is provided at a center in the longitudinal direction of the opposing portions.
According to this configuration, distances from the two end portions of the line shaped member in the longitudinal direction of the line shaped member to the coupling part are substantially equal. When the distance from one end portion to the coupling part is long, it becomes easier for an object (clothing, or the like) to become caught between the one end portion and the coupling part, and it becomes easier for an external force that detaches the two coupling parts to be applied. By providing the coupling part in the center in the longitudinal direction of the opposing portions, the distance from the end portion to the coupling part does not become extremely long, whereby an object easily becoming caught in the gap is avoided.
Preferably, one coupling part includes an engaging protrusion projecting from one side surface, and the other coupling part includes an engaging member provided on the other side surface and having an engaging groove formed therein into which the engaging protrusion may be inserted and pulled out, and the engaging protrusion inserted into the engaging groove engages with the engaging member.
According to this configuration, the two coupling parts are coupled by a simple operation of inserting the engaging protrusion into the engaging groove of the engaging member. Furthermore, the two coupling parts detach by a simple operation of pulling the engaging protrusion out of the engaging groove of the engaging member.
Preferably, the engaging protrusion includes a sphere shaped tip end portion and an intermediate portion connecting the tip end portion and the side surface, the intermediate portion having a larger diameter than the tip end portion, the engaging member having an internal space communicating with the engaging groove, the tip end portion inserted into the engaging groove being housed in the internal space, and when the tip end portion passes through the engaging groove, the engaging member elastically deforms so that the engaging groove widens.
According to this configuration, when the sphere shaped tip end portion of the engaging protrusion passes through the engaging groove, the engaging member elastically deforms so that the engaging groove widens, and the tip end portion is housed in the internal space of the engaging member in a state in which the tip end portion is inserted into the engaging groove. When the tip end portion is housed in the internal space, the intermediate portion has a smaller diameter than the tip end portion, so the engaging groove that widened when the tip end portion passed through narrows, and the tip end portion and the engaging member enter an engaged state in the engaging groove. The tip end portion of the engaging protrusion has a spherical shape, and thus movement into the engaged state of the tip end portion and the engaging member and release of the engaged state becomes easier to perform smoothly.
Preferably, the engaging member has two curved surfaces that are separated to form the engaging groove and are curved in an arc shape, the two curved surfaces oppose each other and are curved in mutually opposite directions, and the tip end portion is inserted into the internal space from between the two opposing curved surfaces.
According to this configuration, the two curved surfaces curved in an arc shape from the engaging groove, and the sphere shaped tip end portion is inserted into the internal space between the two opposing curved surfaces. The surface of the sphere shaped tip end portion and the two curved surfaces easily come into contact over a wide area, and thus movement into the engaged state of the tip end portion and the engaging member and release of the engaged state becomes easier to perform smoothly.
Preferably, the engaging member includes a first curved portion having one curved surface formed thereon, a second curved portion having another curved surface formed thereon, and a base portion fixed to the side surface and supporting the first curved portion and the second curved portion, and when the tip end portion passes between the two curved surfaces, the base portion elastically deforms so that an opening between the two curved surfaces widens.
According to this configuration, the base portion supporting the first curved portion and the second curved portion, each having a curved surface formed thereon, elastically deforms, thereby changing the opening between the two curved surfaces that form the engaging groove, whereby it is possible to avoid excessive force being applied to the curved surfaces, causing plastic deformation.
Preferably, a direction in which the two opposing curved surfaces curve is called a first direction, a direction perpendicular to the first direction and parallel to the side surface is called a second direction, and a direction perpendicular to the side surface is called a third direction, the base portion includes two opposing first side plate portions that are respectively erected on the side surfaces and separated in the second direction, the first side plate portion has a slit extending in the third direction, the slits of the two first side plate portions are formed in positions that overlap each other when viewed from a direction parallel to the second direction, the end portion of the first side plate portions separated from the side surface in the third direction has two upper end portions distanced by the slit, the first curved portion is the upper end portion of the two first side plate portions and is connected to the upper end portion located on one side in the first direction relative to the slit, and the second curved portion is the upper end portion of the two first side plate portions and is connected to the upper end portion located on the other side in the first direction relative to the slit.
According to this configuration, when the tip end portion of the engaging protrusion passes between the two curved surfaces, the slits of the two first side plate portions each widen, and the opening in the first direction between the first curved portion and the second curved portion widens, whereby the opening between the two curved surfaces widens. That is, due to the slits of the two first side plate portions widening, the opening between the two curved surfaces widens, so that an excessive force being applied to the curved surface and causing plastic deformation may be avoided.
Preferably, the second direction is a direction along the longitudinal direction of the line shaped member, in the first direction, a side close to the rear surface is called a rear surface side and a side far from the rear surface is called a front surface side, the second curved portion is positioned closer to the front surface side than the first curved portion, the base portion includes a second side plate portion erected on the side surface and parallel to the second direction and the third direction, and the end edges of both sides of the second side plate portion in the second direction are respectively connected to the end edge of the front surface side of the two first side plate portions in the first direction, and the end edge of the second side plate portion in the third direction is connected to the second curved portion.
According to this configuration, the internal space of the engaging member is hidden from the front surface side by the second side plate portion, so that the engaging protrusion housed in the internal space cannot be seen from the front surface side. Furthermore, since the two first side plate portions and the second curved portion are connected to the second side plate portion, a strength of the engaging member is improved.
EFFECT OF INVENTIONAccording to the present invention, it is possible to provide an ornament that does not readily come off the body and is easy to wear and remove from the body.

When the above-described ornament 1 is put on the wrist, a force is applied so that the end portion of both sides of the line shaped member 2 separate, the line shaped member 2 is elastically deformed, a diameter of a loop (or arc) formed by the line shaped member 2 is enlarged, and the hand is passed through this. When the force applied to the line shaped member 2 is released, the line shaped member 2 returns to an initial state, and the two coupling parts 4, 5 (the engaging protrusion 40 and the engaging member 50) of the line shaped member 2 come close enough to be in contact. By coupling the two close coupling parts 4, 5 (inserting the engaging protrusion 40 into the engaging groove 51 of the engaging member 50), the loop formed by the line shaped member 2 is closed, and the line shaped member 2 will not come off the wrist. At this time, by pinching the side surface 21 and side surface 22 in the vicinity of the engaging protrusion 40 and engaging member 50 using a finger so that they approach each other, the tip end portion 41 of the engaging protrusion 40 may be simply pushed into the engaging groove 51 of the engaging member 50.
When taking off the ornament 1 from the wrist, the coupling of the coupling parts 4, 5 (the engagement of the engaging protrusion 40 and the engaging member 50) may be simply released by inserting a finger into the gap between the side surface 21A and the side surface 22A and widening the gap. Here, a force is further applied so that the end portion of both sides of the line shaped member 2 separate, the line shaped member 2 is elastically deformed, a diameter of a loop (or arc) formed by the line shaped member 2 is enlarged, and the line shaped member 2 is taken off of the wrist.
Summary of the Ornament 1 of the Present EmbodimentIn the above-described ornament 1, the two coupling parts 4, 5 provided on the line shaped member 2 are coupled, thereby causing the line shaped member 2 to enter a closed state, so that the line shaped member 2 does not readily come off the body (wrist, or the like). Furthermore, since the two coupling parts 4, 5 are close enough to be in contact in a state in which no external force is applied to the line shaped member 2, the two coupling parts 4, 5 that are close to each other may be easily coupled.
In the above-described ornament 1, the coupling part 4 is provided on the side surface 21 of the line shaped member 2, and the coupling part 5 is provided on the side surface 22 of the line shaped member 2, so that the coupling parts 4, 5 do not readily come contact the body on the rear surface 23 side of the line shaped member 2.
In the above-described ornament 1, a location at which the decorative member 30 is fixed is a region interposed between the two side surfaces 21, 22 of the line shaped member 2, so that it is possible to fix the decorative member 30 to the line shaped member 2 without being obstructed by the coupling parts 4, 5, and freedom of decoration increases. Furthermore, since the coupling parts 4, 5 are disposed at a location that does not easily obstruct visibility of the decorative member 30, reduction of aesthetic appearance is suppressed by providing the coupling parts 4, 5.
In the above-described ornament 1, since respective coupling parts 4, 5 are provided to the opposing portion (side surfaces 21A, 22A) of the two side surfaces 21, 22 that oppose each other in a state in which no external force is applied to the line shaped member 2, it is possible to simply bring the two coupling parts 4, 5 into contact with each other just by moving one part of the line shaped member 2 so that the two side surfaces 21A, 22A approach each other, and the two coupling parts 4, 5 may be easily coupled.
In the above-described ornament 1, the coupling part 4 is provided at the center of the side surface 21A, which is an opposing portion, and the coupling part 5 is provided at the center of the side surface 22A, which is an opposing portion, so that the distances from the two end portions of the line shaped member 2 in the longitudinal direction to the coupling parts 4, 5 are substantially equal. When the distance from one end portion to the coupling part (4 or 5) is long, it becomes easier for an object such as clothing to become caught between the one end portion and the coupling part (4 or 5), and it becomes easier for an external force that detaches the two coupling parts 4, 5 to be applied. By providing the coupling parts 4, 5 in the center in the longitudinal direction of the opposing portions (side surfaces 21A, 22A), the distance from the end portion to the coupling parts 4, 5 does not become extremely long, whereby an object easily becoming caught in the gap may be avoided.
In the above-described ornament 1, the two coupling parts 4, 5 may be coupled by a simple operation of inserting the engaging protrusion 40 into the engaging groove 51 of the engaging member 50. Furthermore, the two coupling parts 4, 5 may be detached by a simple operation of pulling the engaging protrusion 40 out of the engaging groove 51 of the engaging member 50.
Moreover, the engaging member 50 in which the engaging groove 51 is formed and the engaging protrusion 40 may both be manufactured as components of a relatively simple structure. Therefore, the engaging member 50 and the engaging protrusion 40 may each be formed from the same material (same type of metal, or the like) as the line shaped member 2 and fixed to the line shaped member 2 by any method such as laser welding or brazing.
In the above-described ornament 1, when the sphere shaped tip end portion 41 of the engaging protrusion 40 passes through the engaging groove 51, the engaging member 50 elastically deforms so that the engaging groove 51 widens, and the tip end portion 41 is housed in the internal space 59 of the engaging member 50 in a state in which the tip end portion 41 is inserted into the engaging groove 51. When the tip end portion 41 is housed in the internal space 59, the intermediate portion 42 has a smaller diameter than the tip end portion 41, so the engaging groove 51 that widened when the tip end portion 41 passed through narrows, and the tip end portion 41 and the engaging member 50 enter an engaged state in the engaging groove 51. The tip end portion 41 of the engaging protrusion 40 has a spherical shape, and thus movement into the engaged state of the tip end portion 41 and the engaging member 50 and release of the engaged state may be performed smoothly.
In the above-described ornament 1, the first curved surface 520 and the second curved surface 530, which are curved in an arc shape, form the engaging groove 51, and the sphere shaped tip end portion 41 is inserted into the internal space 59 from between the opposing first curved surface 520 and second curved surface 530. The surface of the sphere shaped tip end portion 41 and the first curved surface 520 and second curved surface 530 easily come into contact over a wide area, and thus movement into the engaged state of the tip end portion 41 and the engaging member 50 and release of the engaged state may be performed smoothly.
In the above-described ornament 1, the base portion 54 supporting the first curved portion 52 and the second curved portion 53, each having a curved surface (520, 530) formed thereon, elastically deforms, thereby changing the opening between the two curved surfaces (520, 530) that form the engaging groove 51, whereby it is possible to avoid excessive force being applied to the curved surfaces (520, 530), causing plastic deformation.
In the above-described ornament 1, when the tip end portion 41 of the engaging protrusion 40 passes between the two curved surfaces (520, 530), the slits 550 of the two first side plate portions 55 each widen, and the opening in the Y direction of the first curved portion 52 and the second curved portion 53 widens, whereby the opening between the two curved surfaces (520, 530) widens. That is, the slits 550 of the two first side plate portions 55 are widened, whereby the opening between the two curved surfaces (520, 530) widens. Therefore, it is possible to avoid excessive force being applied to the curved surfaces (520, 530), causing plastic deformation.
In the above-described ornament 1, the engaging groove 51 of the engaging member 50 is hidden from the Y1 side (front surface side) by the second side plate portion 56, so that the engaging protrusion 40 housed in the internal space 59 cannot be seen from the front surface side and aesthetic appearance is not readily harmed. Furthermore, since the two first side plate portions 55 and the second curved portion 53 are connected to the second side plate portion 56, a strength of the engaging member 50 is improved.
It should be noted that the present embodiment is not limited to the above-described example, and further includes various variations.
The above-described ornament 1 has only one pair of coupling parts (4, 5) that are coupled to each other, but in other examples of the present embodiment, the ornament may have two or more pairs of coupling parts. By increasing the number of pairs of coupling parts, it may be made so that the ornament does not readily come off of the body.
In the above-described ornament 1, the two coupling parts 4, 5 are provided on the side surfaces 21, 22 of the line shaped member 2, but in other examples of the present embodiment, the two coupling parts may be provided in another location on the line shaped member. Claims
1. An ornament comprising:
- an elastically deformable shaped member configured to bend so that it can be put on a body; and
- two mutually detachably coupled coupling parts provided at two separated locations on the line shaped member, wherein
- the two coupling parts are contact in a state in which no external force is applied to the line shaped member.
2. The ornament according to claim 1, wherein
- the line shaped member further comprises:
- a rear surface oriented toward a side facing the body in a state in which it is put on the body, and extending in a longitudinal direction of the line shaped member; and
- two side surfaces connected to two end edges extending in the longitudinal direction of the rear surface, and
- one coupling part is provided on one side surface and
- the other coupling part is provided on the other side surface.
3. The ornament according to claim 2, further comprising:
- a decorative member fixed in a region interposed between the two side surfaces of the line shaped member.
4. The ornament according to claim 2, wherein
- the two side surfaces further comprise two opposing portions that oppose each other in a state in which no external force is applied to the line shaped member,
- one coupling part is provided on an opposing portion of one side surface, and
- the other coupling part is provided on an opposing portion of the other side surface.
5. The ornament according to claim 4, wherein
- the coupling part is provided at a center of the opposing portion in the longitudinal direction.
6. The ornament according to claim 2, wherein
- one coupling part further comprises an engaging protrusion projecting from one side surface,
- the other coupling part further comprises an engaging member provided on the other side surface and having an engaging groove formed therein into which the engaging protrusion may be inserted and pulled out, and
- the engaging protrusion inserted into the engaging groove engages with the engaging member.
7. The ornament according to claim 6, wherein
- the engaging protrusion further comprises:
- a sphere-shaped tip end portion; and
- an intermediate portion connecting the tip end portion and the side surface,
- the intermediate portion has a larger diameter than the tip end portion,
- the engaging member has an internal space communicating with the engaging groove,
- the tip end portion inserted into the engaging groove is housed in the internal space, and
- when the tip end portion passes through the engaging groove, the engaging member elastically deforms so that the engaging groove widens.
8. The ornament according to claim 7, wherein
- the engaging member has two curved surfaces that are separated to form the engaging groove and are curved in an arc shape,
- the two curved surfaces oppose each other and are curved in mutually opposite directions, and
- the tip end portion is inserted into the internal space from between the two opposing curved surfaces.
9. The ornament according to claim 8, wherein
- the engaging member further comprises:
- a first curved portion having one curved surface formed thereon;
- a second curved portion having another curved surface formed thereon; and
- a base portion fixed to the side surface and supporting the first curved portion and the second curved portion, and
- when the tip end portion passes between the two curved surfaces, the base portion elastically deforms so that an opening between the two curved surfaces widens.
10. The ornament according to claim 9, wherein
- a direction in which the two opposing curved surfaces curve is called a first direction,
- a direction perpendicular to the first direction and parallel to the side surface is called a second direction,
- a direction perpendicular to the side surface is called a third direction,
- the base portion further comprises two opposing first side plate portions that are respectively erected on the side surfaces and separated in the second direction,
- the first side plate portion comprises a slit extending in the third direction,
- the slits of the two first side plate portions are formed in positions that overlap each other when viewed from a direction parallel to the second direction,
- the end portion of the first side plate portions separated from the side surface in the third direction has two upper end portions distanced by the slit,
- the first curved portion is the upper end portion of the two first side plate portions and is connected to the upper end portion located on one side in the first direction relative to the slit, and

11. The ornament according to claim 10, wherein
- the second direction is a direction along the longitudinal direction of the line shaped member,
- in the first direction, a side close to the rear surface is called a rear surface side, and a side far from the rear surface is called a front surface side,
- the second curved portion is positioned closer to the front surface side than the first curved portion,
- the base portion further comprises a second side plate portion erected on the side surface and parallel to the second direction and the third direction, and
- the end edges of both sides of the second side plate portion in the second direction are respectively connected to the end edge of the front surface side of the two first side plate portions in the first direction, and
- the end edge of the second side plate portion in the third direction is connected to the second curved portion.
