A building includes a first wall, a first opening arranged in the first wall, a first room, a first floor portion arranged in the first room, a second floor portion arranged in the first room, and a third floor portion arranged at an exterior of the building. The first opening includes a lower end arranged above the first floor portion. The second floor portion is arranged along the first opening at the same height as the lower end of the first opening. The third floor portion is arranged along the first wall at a position lower than the second floor portion. A height of the second floor portion is set to allow a person to sit with a foot on the first floor portion when facing an interior of the building and to sit with the foot on the third floor portion when facing the exterior.

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present disclosure relates to a building.

BACKGROUND ART

A building that includes an indoor bench is known (refer to, for example, Patent Literature 1). In the building described in Patent Literature 1, a window is arranged between a balcony and an indoor room. The bench is arranged along the window in the indoor room. The balcony is provided with a deck located at the same height as the bench.

SUMMARY OF INVENTION Technical Problem

A building that utilizes a space including the window side is not known in the prior art. Thus, there is room for improvement in a space including the window side.

Solution to Problem

(1) To solve the problem described above, a building includes a first wall separating an interior and an exterior of the building, a first opening arranged in the first wall and provided with a window, a first room connecting to the exterior through the first opening, a first floor portion arranged in the first room, a second floor portion arranged in the first room, and a third floor portion arranged at the exterior. The first opening includes a lower end arranged above the first floor portion. The second floor portion is arranged along the first opening at the same height as the lower end of the first opening. The third floor portion is arranged along the first wall at a position lower than the second floor portion. A height of the second floor portion is set to allow a person to sit with a foot on the first floor portion when facing the interior and to sit with the foot on the third floor portion when facing the exterior.

This structure facilitates the use of the space near the first opening. In an example, a person may sit near the first opening facing the interior or facing the exterior. This allows the person to relax near the first opening.

(2) The building according to (1) further includes a fourth floor portion arranged at the exterior. The fourth floor portion is arranged along the first opening at the same height as the second floor portion. This structure facilitates the use of the exterior space near the first opening.

(3) The building according to (1) or (2) further includes a first additional wall arranged parallel to the first wall, and a second additional wall connecting the first wall and the first additional wall. The first wall and the first additional wall are arranged to face the same direction in plan view. The first wall is arranged outward from the first additional wall. The second floor portion has a first end in a first direction extending along the first wall. The first end of the second floor portion is in contact with the second additional wall. In this structure, the first end of the second floor portion is accommodated in a stepped wall defined by the first wall, the first additional wall, and the second additional wall. Thus, the outer appearance in the vicinity of the stepped wall in the first room gives a cohesive impression.

(4) The building according to (3) further includes a third additional wall orthogonal to the first wall. The second floor portion has a second end opposite to the first end. The second end of the second floor portion is opposed to the third additional wall. In this structure, an object may be placed in a space between the second floor portion and the third additional wall, which is orthogonal to the first wall.

(5) In the building according to (3), the second floor portion has a third end in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. The third end of the second floor portion abuts the first opening. The second floor portion has a fourth end opposite to the third end.

The fourth end of the second floor portion and the first additional wall are located in the same position in the second direction. In this structure, the first room has a smooth and streamlined space in plan view.

(6) The building according to (1) or (2) further includes an overhang. The overhang overhangs a portion of the third floor portion extending along the first opening. An underside surface of the overhang, an upper end of the first opening, and a ceiling of the first room are set to be equal to each other in height. In this structure, a person may sit on the second floor portion facing the exterior as if being indoors.

(7) The building according to (2) further includes a second wall intersecting the first wall, a second opening arranged in the second wall and provided with a window, and a fifth floor portion located at the same height as the second floor portion. The fifth floor portion is arranged along the second opening at the same height as a lower end of the second opening. This structure facilitates the use of the space near the first opening or the second opening at an inside corner or an outside corner located in the interior of the building.

(8) The building according to (7) further includes a sixth floor portion arranged at the exterior. The sixth floor portion is arranged along the second opening at the same height as the fifth floor portion. This structure facilitates the use of the space near the first opening or the second opening at an inside corner or an outside corner located at the exterior of the building.

(9) The building according to any one of (1) to (8) further includes a partition arranged in the first room. The partition is opposed to the first opening of the first wall and located at a position within 1500 mm from the first opening. The partition includes furniture or a partition wall. This structure provides a window-side room where one may sit at the window side and rest quietly while avoiding noise or disturbance.

(10) The building according to any one of (1) to (9) further includes an upper-story floor portion forming a story above a reference story. The first floor portion is defined as a floor of the reference story. The first room includes a portion arranged along the second floor portion, defining a window side region. The upper-story floor portion has a structure such that, in plan view, a region including at least the window side region is an open-ceiling space. This structure provides a space allowing one sitting on the window side to communicate with a person on an upper-story.

(11) In the building according to (10), the first wall further includes an upper opening located above the first opening. This structure guides light to the open-ceiling space from the upper opening. Thus, the first room is brightened by natural light.

(12) In the building according to any one of (1) to (11), the second floor portion is connected to the first floor portion by a step wall. In this structure, the surface is continuous from the first floor portion to the second floor portion. This simplifies the outer appearance from the first floor portion to the second floor portion.

Advantageous Effects of Invention

According to the present disclosure, the use of a space near the opening of the building is facilitated.

DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS First Embodiment

A first embodiment of a building 1 will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 and 2. In the present embodiment, an up-down direction DZ refers to a vertical direction. A first direction DX refers to a direction along a first wall 11 in a horizontal plane. A second direction DY refers to a direction orthogonal to the first direction DX in the horizontal plane. In the present embodiment, when the height of an object is compared with the height of a floor, the object is compared to the floor surface of the floor. When a flooring material is covered with a removable carpet or cushion, the floor surface is defined as the upper surface of the floor without the carpet. When a sheet material, a tile, or a plate is attached to the flooring material in an unremovable manner, the floor surface is defined as the upper surface of the sheet.

The building 1 includes a first room 8 arranged in an interior of the building, a first wall 11 separating the interior and an exterior of the building, a first opening 31 arranged in the first wall 11, a first floor portion 21, a second floor portion 22, and a third floor portion 23. The building 1 may further include an overhang 5. The first wall 11 may be an outer wall of a first story or an outer wall of a second or higher story.

In the present embodiment, the building 1 further includes a first additional wall 13 arranged parallel to the first wall 11. The first wall 11 and the first additional wall 13 are arranged to face the same direction in plan view. More specifically, an interior surface (surface facing the interior) of the first wall 11 and an interior surface of the first additional wall 13 face the same direction. The first wall 11 and the first additional wall 13 are walls of the first room 8. In the sheet of FIG. 2, the first wall 11 and the first additional wall 13 are located at a lower side of the first room 8. The first wall 11 is arranged outward from the first additional wall 13 in the second direction DY. More specifically, the first wall 11 is arranged at a position farther from the center of the first room 8 than the first additional wall 13 is. The first additional wall 13 is connected to the first wall 11 by a second additional wall 14 arranged orthogonal to the first wall 11. The second additional wall 14 extends in the second direction DY in plan view. As described above, the first room 8 includes a projection region A projecting from the first additional wall 13 in the second direction DY.

The first additional wall 13 may include a window 18. The window 18 arranged in the first additional wall 13 may be sized so as to extend over the entirety of the first additional wall 13. The window 18 may be omitted from the first additional wall 13.

The first room 8 connects to the exterior through the first opening 31. The first room 8 may be located on the first story or the second or higher stories. The first room 8 is configured as a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a bedroom, or a workroom. The workroom, for example, a study room, an office, or a hobby room, and thus is a room where work is performed.

The first opening 31 is provided with a window 18. The window 18 has a structure allowing for easy passage of a person through the first opening 31. The window 18 includes, for example, a sliding window. The first opening 31 has a lower end 31A arranged above the first floor portion 21. The height of the lower end 31A of the first opening 31 from the first floor portion 21 is less than or equal to 1 m. The first opening 31 has an upper end 31B arranged close to a ceiling 9 of the first room 8. The upper end 31B of the first opening 31 and the ceiling 9 may be located at the same height.

First Floor Portion

The first floor portion 21 is a floor arranged in the first room 8. When the first room 8 is a living room, the first floor portion 21 is a floor of the living room. The height of the first floor portion 21 is equal to the height of the floor of a predetermined story. When the first room 8 is configured as a sunken living room, the first floor portion 21 is located below the floor of the predetermined story of the building 1. In the present embodiment, the first room 8 is arranged on the first story. The height of the first floor portion 21 is equal to the height of the floor on the first story.

Second Floor Portion

The second floor portion 22 is arranged in the first room 8. The height of the second floor portion 22 is greater than the height of the first floor portion 21. The second floor portion 22 is set at the same height as the lower end 31A of the first opening 31. The height of the second floor portion 22 is set to allow a person to sit with the feet on the first floor portion 21 when facing the interior, and sit with the feet on the third floor portion 23 when facing the exterior. In an example, the height of the second floor portion 22 from the first floor portion 21 is set to a predetermined value in a range of 300 mm to 450 mm, inclusive.

The second floor portion 22 is arranged along the first opening 31. More specifically, the second floor portion 22 extends from a first edge 31S to a second edge 31T of the first opening 31 in the first direction DX. The second floor portion 22 may be greater than the first opening 31 in dimension in the first direction DX.

The width of the second floor portion 22 is set to a dimension allowing a person to sit on the second floor portion 22. The width of the second floor portion 22 is defined as a dimension in the second direction DY. In an example, the width of the second floor portion 22 is set to a predetermined value in a range of 150 mm to 1500 mm, inclusive. If the width of the second floor portion 22 is less than 150 mm, it is difficult for a person to sit or place an object on the second floor portion 22. If the width of the second floor portion 22 is greater than 1500 mm, the first room 8 may become small. The width of the second floor portion 22 is set to appropriate dimensions in accordance with an intended application of the first room 8.

In FIG. 2, the second floor portion 22 includes a first end 22A in the first direction DX. The first end 22A is in contact with the second additional wall 14. The second floor portion 22 includes a second end 22B in the first direction DX. The second end 22B is opposed to a third additional wall 15 that is orthogonal to the first wall 11. The second end 22B of the second floor portion 22 is opposite to the first end 22A. The second end 22B of the second floor portion 22 may contact the third additional wall 15.

As shown in FIG. 2, in an example, the second floor portion 22 is arranged in the projection region A. The second floor portion 22 includes a third end 22C in the second direction DY. The third end 22C abuts the first opening 31. The third end 22C extends parallel to the first wall 11 and the first additional wall 13. A fourth end 22D, which is located opposite to the third end 22C in the second direction DY, is located at the same position as the first additional wall 13 in the second direction DY. The second floor portion 22 is configured not to project from the first additional wall 13 toward the center of the first room 8 in the second direction DY.

The second floor portion 22 is connected to the first floor portion 21 by a step wall 29. The step wall 29 extends downward from the fourth end 22D of the second floor portion 22. The step wall 29 is arranged parallel to the first additional wall 13. In the second direction DY, the step wall 29 is arranged at the same position as the first additional wall 13. The step wall 29 may be configured as an extension of the first additional wall 13.

Third Floor Portion

The third floor portion 23 is arranged at the exterior. When the first room 8 is located on the first story, the third floor portion 23 is configured as a deck or a terrace. The third floor portion 23 is located above a ground G.

When the first room 8 is located on the second or higher stories, the third floor portion 23 is arranged on a balcony or a veranda. The floor of the balcony or veranda is located below the first floor portion 21 of the first room 8. The third floor portion 23 is located above the floor of the balcony or the floor of the veranda. In an example, the height of the third floor portion 23 arranged on the balcony or the veranda is equal to the height of the first floor portion 21.

The third floor portion 23 is located below the second floor portion 22. The third floor portion 23 is arranged along the first wall 11. More specifically, the third floor portion 23 extends from a first edge 31S to a second edge 31T of the first opening 31 in the first direction DX. The third floor portion 23 may be greater than the first opening 31 in dimension in the first direction DX.

Overhang

The overhang 5 is arranged to overhang the third floor portion 23. In a plan view of the building 1, the overhang 5 overhangs at least a portion of the third floor portion 23 near the first opening 31. In a plan view of the building 1, the overhang 5 may be configured to overhang the entirety of the third floor portion 23.

The overhang 5 may include an underside surface 5A (also referred to as soffit) arranged horizontally. When the underside surface 5A of the overhang 5 is arranged horizontally, the underside surface 5A of the overhang 5, the upper end 31B of the first opening 31, and the ceiling 9 of the first room 8 may be set to be equal to each other in height. The structure in which the underside surface 5A of the overhang 5, the ceiling 9 of the first room 8, and the upper end 31B of the first opening 31 are located at the same height is referred to as a flat-ceiling structure. In the flat-ceiling structure, the ceiling 9 of the first room 8 is connected to the underside surface 5A of the overhang 5 in a continuous manner, so that the first room 8 seems to extend to the exterior. When the window 18 of the first opening 31 is open, the ceiling 9 of the first room 8 is continuous with the underside surface 5A of the overhang 5.

The operation of the present embodiment will now be described.

Utilization of a space near the window side is limited. In an example, a house plant is arranged near the window side. In an example, a table is arranged near the window side, and an object is arranged on the table. The space near the window side is less likely to be used directly by a person. In an example, a person may lean on the window 18 and read a book. A person does not often actively use the space near the window.

In the present embodiment, the height of the second floor portion 22 is set to allow a person to sit facing the interior and to sit facing the exterior. This facilitates the use of the space near the first opening 31. A person may sit or lie down on the second floor portion 22. The second floor portion 22 also serves as a place on which an animal lies. A person may place an object on the second floor portion 22 and temporarily place laundry or purchased food. A person may place a house plant, an ornament, and a lifestyle item on the second floor portion 22. The person may sit on the second floor portion 22 facing the exterior to relax while viewing the garden or scenery. Without arranging a chair or the like on the third floor portion 23, the person may casually relax while viewing outside. When a table is placed on the third floor portion 23, the person may sit on the second floor portion 22 and have a meal or read a book. The second floor portion 22 may serve as a chair placed on the third floor portion 23. Thus, the area of the third floor portion 23 is utilized effectively. The second floor portion 22 allows the space near the window to be used for various purposes.

The present embodiment has the following advantages.

(1) The building 1 includes the first opening 31, the first floor portion 21 arranged in the first room 8, the second floor portion 22 arranged in the first room 8, and the third floor portion 23 arranged at the exterior. The second floor portion 22 is arranged along the first opening 31 at the same height as the lower end 31A of the first opening 31. The third floor portion 23 is arranged along the first wall 11 at a position lower than the second floor portion 22. The height of the second floor portion 22 is set to allow a person to sit facing the interior and to sit facing the exterior.

This structure facilitates the use of the space near the first opening 31. For example, a person may sit near the first opening 31 facing the interior or facing the exterior. This allows the person to relax near the first opening 31.

(2) In the building 1, the first end 22A of the second floor portion 22 is in contact with the second additional wall 14 connecting the first wall 11 and the first additional wall 13. In this structure, the first end 22A of the second floor portion 22 is accommodated in a stepped wall defined by the first wall 11, the first additional wall 13, and the second additional wall 14. Thus, the outer appearance in the vicinity of the stepped wall of the first room 8 gives a cohesive impression.

(3) In the building 1, the second end 22B of the second floor portion 22 is opposed to the third additional wall 15 orthogonal to the first wall 11. In this structure, an object may be placed in the space between the second floor portion 22 and the third additional wall 15 orthogonal to the first wall 11.

(4) In the building 1, the fourth end 22D of the second floor portion 22 is located at the same position as the first additional wall 13 in the second direction DY. In this structure, the first room 8 has a smooth and streamlined space in plan view.

(5) In the building 1, the overhang 5 overhangs a portion of the third floor portion 23 extending along the first opening 31. The underside surface 5A of the overhang 5, the upper end 31B of the first opening 31, and the ceiling 9 of the first room 8 are set to be equal to each other in height. In this structure, a person may sit on the second floor portion 22 facing the exterior as if being indoors.

(6) In the building 1, the second floor portion 22 is connected to the first floor portion 21 by the step wall 29. In this structure, the surface is continuous from the first floor portion 21 to the second floor portion 22. This simplifies the outer appearance from the first floor portion 21 to the second floor portion 22.

Second Embodiment

A second embodiment of a building 1 will be described with reference to FIGS. 3 to 13. In the present embodiment, same reference characters are given to those components that are the same as the corresponding components of the first embodiment. Such components will not be described in detail.

The building 1 includes a first room 8, a first wall 11 separating the interior and the exterior of the building, a first opening 31 arranged in the first wall 11, a first floor portion 21, a second floor portion 22, and a third floor portion 23. The building 1 may further include an overhang 5. In the present embodiment, in addition to the components described above, the building 1 further includes a fourth floor portion 24 arranged at the exterior.

Fourth Floor Portion

As shown in FIG. 3, in an example, the third floor portion 23 and the fourth floor portion 24 are configured as a deck that is assembled integrally. In an example, the third floor portion 23 is formed of a first flooring material 23X supported by a first post 27 having a predetermined length. The fourth floor portion 24 is formed of a second flooring material 24X supported by a second post 28 having a greater length than the first post 27. In a plan view of the building 1, the third floor portion 23 extends in the second direction DY from the first opening 31 to a position farther than the fourth floor portion 24 does.

The fourth floor portion 24 may be arranged on the third floor portion 23. More specifically, a deck or a terrace includes the third floor portion 23, and a stage arranged on the deck or the terrace includes the fourth floor portion 24. The stage including the fourth floor portion 24 may be separable from the third floor portion 23.

The fourth floor portion 24 and the second floor portion 22 are configured to have the same height. The fourth floor portion 24 is arranged along the first opening 31. More specifically, the fourth floor portion 24 extends from the first edge 31S to the second edge 31T of the first opening 31 in the first direction DX (refer to FIG. 4). The fourth floor portion 24 may be greater than the first opening 31 in dimension in the first direction DX.

The width of the fourth floor portion 24 is set to a dimension allowing a person to sit on the fourth floor portion 24. The width of the fourth floor portion 24 is defined as a dimension in the second direction DY. In an example, the width of the fourth floor portion 24 is set to a predetermined value in a range of 150 mm to 1500 mm, inclusive. If the width of the fourth floor portion 24 is less than 150 mm, it is difficult for a person to sit or place an object on the fourth floor portion 24. If the width of the fourth floor portion 24 is greater than 1500 mm, the third floor portion 23 may become small.

Overhang

The overhang 5 is arranged to overhang the fourth floor portion 24. In a plan view of the building 1, the overhang 5 overhangs at least a portion of the fourth floor portion 24 near the first opening 31. In a plan view of the building 1, the overhang 5 may be configured to overhang the entirety of the fourth floor portion 24.

Examples of the present embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. 4 to 12. In each example of the present embodiment, the building 1 includes at least the first floor portion 21, the second floor portion 22, the third floor portion 23, the fourth floor portion 24, and the first opening 31. The fourth floor portion 24 is connected to the second floor portion 22 by the lower end 31A of the first opening 31.

First Example

FIG. 4 shows a first example. In the first example, the second floor portion 22 is arranged along the first wall 11. The second floor portion 22 is arranged along the entirety of the first opening 31 in the first direction DX. The fourth floor portion 24 is arranged along the first wall 11. The fourth floor portion 24 is arranged along the entirety of the first opening 31 in the first direction DX. The fourth floor portion 24 and the second floor portion 22 have the same length.

Second Example

FIG. 5 shows a second example. The building 1 includes the first wall 11 and the first additional wall 13. The first additional wall 13 is provided with a window 18. The window 18 is sized so as to extending over the entirety of the first additional wall 13. The second floor portion 22 is arranged in the projection region A of the first room 8. The first end 22A of the second floor portion 22 is in contact with the second additional wall 14. The second end 22B of the second floor portion 22 is opposed to the third additional wall 15 orthogonal to the first wall 11. The third end 22C of the second floor portion 22 abuts the first opening 31. The fourth end 22D of the second floor portion 22 is located closer in the second direction DY to the first opening 31 than the first additional wall 13 is.

The third floor portion 23 extends along the first wall 11 and the first additional wall 13. The fourth floor portion 24 extends along the first opening 31 in the first direction DX. The fourth floor portion 24 is greater than the first opening 31 and the second floor portion 22 in dimension in the first direction DX.

Third Example

FIG. 6 shows a third example. The third example differs from the second example in the following points. In the third example, the building 1 includes an additional partition wall 19 opposed to the second additional wall 14. The additional partition wall 19 extends orthogonal to the first wall 11 toward the first room 8. The second floor portion 22 is arranged so as to just fit between the second additional wall 14 and the additional partition wall 19. The additional partition wall 19 blocks a line of sight from a side of a person sitting on the second floor portion 22.

Further, the first room 8 is provided with a partition 38 dividing the first room 8 into multiple sections. The partition 38 is formed of furniture or a partition wall. The partition 38 may be configured to be in contact with the ceiling. The partition 38 hampers a person from standing at a position to face another person who is sitting on the second floor portion 22. The partition 38 may be spaced apart by a gap from the ceiling. The partition 38 is arranged to be opposed to the first opening 31 of the first wall 11. The distance between the first opening 31 and the partition 38 is set to allow a person to pass through. In an example, the partition 38 includes a surface 38A opposed to the first wall 11 and arranged at a position within 1500 mm from the first opening 31. An example of the partition 38 is a unit kitchen 39. The unit kitchen 39 includes a vertical wall 39A having a back surface 39B and is arranged so that the back surface 39B is opposed to the first wall 11. The vertical wall 39A may be provided with an opening 39C for natural lighting. In an example, the opening 39C is arranged above the eye level of a person. Frosted glass may be arranged in the opening 39C.

Fourth Example

FIG. 7 shows a fourth example. The fourth example differs from the second example in the following points. In the fourth example, the first additional wall 13 is not provided with the window 18. In the fourth example, the first additional wall 13 includes a first extension wall 13A extending from the first additional wall 13 in the first direction DX. The first end 22A of the second floor portion 22 is in contact with the second additional wall 14, and the second end 22B of the second floor portion 22 is in contact with the third additional wall 15 orthogonal to the first wall 11. That is, the second floor portion 22 is arranged so as to just fit between the second additional wall 14 and the third additional wall 15.

The third additional wall 15 includes a second extension wall 15A orthogonal to the third additional wall 15 and extending in the first direction DX. The first extension wall 13A and the second extension wall 15A extend along the fourth end 22D of the second floor portion 22. The second extension wall 15A is spaced apart from the first extension wall 13A in the first direction DX.

A shelf may be arranged in a space between the first extension wall 13A and the first wall 11 in the second direction DY. Also, a shelf may be arranged in a space between the second extension wall 15A and the first wall 11 in the second direction DY.

The fourth floor portion 24 includes a first portion 24A arranged along the first opening 31 of the first wall 11 and a second portion 24B arranged along the second additional wall 14. The fourth floor portion 24 is L-shaped in plan view. The third floor portion 23 surrounds the fourth floor portion 24 together with the first wall 11, the first additional wall 13, and the second additional wall 14.

The first room 8 includes an open-ceiling space S extending from the first story to the second story. The second floor portion 22 is arranged to face the open-ceiling space S.

The space above the second floor portion 22 may be open to the second story. In addition, a ceiling wall may be provided above the second floor portion 22 so as to extend over the second floor portion 22 at the same height as the ceiling of the first story.

Fifth Example

FIG. 8 shows a fifth example. The fifth example differs from the second example in the following points. In the fifth example, the building 1 further includes a fifth additional wall 35 arranged parallel to the first wall 11. The first wall 11 and the fifth additional wall 35 are arranged to face the same direction in plan view. More specifically, an interior surface (surface facing the interior) of the first wall 11 and an interior surface of the fifth additional wall 35 face the same direction. The first wall 11 is arranged inward from the fifth additional wall 35 in the second direction DY. The fifth additional wall 35 is connected to the first wall 11 by a sixth additional wall 36 arranged orthogonal to the first wall 11. The sixth additional wall 36 extends in the second direction DY in plan view. The first wall 11 is provided with a first opening 31. The sixth additional wall 36 is provided with a second opening 32. The second floor portion 22 includes a third portion 22R arranged along the first opening 31 and a fourth portion 22S connected to the third portion 22R. The fourth portion 22S is arranged along the third additional wall 15 orthogonal to the first wall 11. The third additional wall 15 is connected to an end of the first wall 11 opposite to the end of the first wall 11 connected to the sixth additional wall 36. The second floor portion 22 is L-shaped in plan view. The second floor portion 22 is arranged at an inside corner as viewed from indoors. The fourth floor portion 24 is arranged along the first opening 31. The third floor portion 23 is rectangular in plan view. The third floor portion 23 surrounds the fourth floor portion 24 together with the first wall 11 and the sixth additional wall 36 in plan view.

Sixth Example

FIGS. 9 and 10 show a sixth example. In the sixth example, the second floor portion 22 and the fifth floor portion 25 are arranged at an indoor outside corner. The fourth floor portion 24 is arranged outdoors in correspondence with the second floor portion 22. The sixth floor portion 26 is arranged outdoors in correspondence with the fifth floor portion 25. A specific example of the sixth example will be described below.

The building 1 includes a first wall 11 and a second wall 12 intersecting the first wall 11. As viewed from indoors, the first wall 11 and the second wall 12 form an outside corner. The first wall 11 is provided with a first opening 31. The second wall 12 is provided with a second opening 32.

The first opening 31 is provided with a window 18 sized so as to extend over the entirety of the first opening 31. The window 18 of the first opening 31 includes a sliding window. The second opening 32 is provided with a window 18 sized so as to extend over the entirety of the second opening 32. The window 18 of the second opening 32 includes a fixed window.

The second floor portion 22 is arranged along the entirety of the first opening 31. The second floor portion 22 extends along the first opening 31 at the same height as the lower end 31A of the first opening 31.

The building 1 further includes a fifth floor portion 25 located indoors at the same height as the second floor portion 22. The fifth floor portion 25 is connected to the second floor portion 22. The fifth floor portion 25 extends along the second opening 32 at the same height as the lower end 32A of the second opening 32. The second floor portion 22 and the fifth floor portion 25 form a floor that is L-shaped in plan view.

The building 1 further includes a fourth floor portion 24 arranged outdoors. The fourth floor portion 24 is arranged along the entirety of the first opening 31. The fourth floor portion 24 extends along the first opening 31 at the same height as the lower end 31A of the first opening 31.

The building 1 further includes a sixth floor portion 26 located outdoors at the same height as the fourth floor portion 24. The sixth floor portion 26 is connected to the fourth floor portion 24. The sixth floor portion 26 extends along the second opening 32 at the same height as the lower end 32A of the second opening 32. The fourth floor portion 24 and the sixth floor portion 26 form a floor that is L-shaped in plan view.

The building 1 includes an overhang 5. The overhang 5 is arranged along the first opening 31 to overhang the fourth floor portion 24. The overhang 5 may include an underside surface 5A (also referred to as soffit) arranged horizontally. The underside surface 5A of the overhang 5, the upper end 31B of the first opening 31, and the ceiling 9 of the first room 8 are set to be equal to each other in height.

Seventh Example

A seventh example is shown in FIGS. 11 and 12. In the seventh example, the second floor portion 22 and the fifth floor portion 25 are arranged at an indoor inside corner. The fourth floor portion 24 is arranged outdoors in correspondence with the second floor portion 22. The sixth floor portion 26 is arranged outdoors in correspondence with the fifth floor portion 25. A specific example of the seventh example will be described below.

The building 1 includes a first wall 11 and a second wall 12 intersecting the first wall 11. As viewed from indoors, the first wall 11 and the second wall 12 form an inside corner. The building 1 further includes a third wall 16 opposed to the first wall 11. The building 1 further includes a fourth wall 17 projecting from the first wall 11 and opposed to the second wall 12.

The first wall 11 is provided with a first opening 31. The second wall 12 is provided with a second opening 32. The first opening 31 is provided with a window 18. The window 18 of the first opening 31 includes a sliding window. The second opening 32 is provided with a window 18. The window 18 of the second opening 32 includes a fixed window. The window 18 of the first opening 31 and the window 18 of the second opening 32 are adjacent to each other via a column.

The second floor portion 22 is arranged along the entirety of the first opening 31. The second floor portion 22 extends to the fourth wall 17. The second floor portion 22 extends along the first opening 31 at the same height as the lower end 31A of the first opening 31.

The building 1 further includes a fifth floor portion 25 located indoors at the same height as the second floor portion 22. The fifth floor portion 25 is connected to the second floor portion 22. The fifth floor portion 25 extends to the third wall 16. The fifth floor portion 25 extends along the second opening 32 at the same height as the lower end 32A of the second opening 32. The second floor portion 22 and the fifth floor portion 25 form a floor that is L-shaped in plan view.

The building 1 further includes a fourth floor portion 24 arranged outdoors. The fourth floor portion 24 is arranged along the entirety of the first opening 31. The fourth floor portion 24 extends along the first opening 31 at the same height as the lower end 31A of the first opening 31.

The building 1 further includes a sixth floor portion 26 located outdoors at the same height as the fourth floor portion 24. The sixth floor portion 26 is connected to the fourth floor portion 24. The sixth floor portion 26 extends along the second opening 32 at the same height as the lower end 32A of the second opening 32. The fourth floor portion 24 and the sixth floor portion 26 form a floor that is L-shaped in plan view.

The building 1 includes an overhang 5. The overhang 5 is arranged along the first opening 31 to overhang the fourth floor portion 24. The overhang 5 may include an underside surface 5A (also referred to as soffit) arranged horizontally. The underside surface 5A of the overhang 5, the upper end 31B of the first opening 31, and the ceiling 9 of the first room 8 are set to be equal to each other in height.

Eighth Example

FIG. 13 shows an eighth example. The eighth example differs from the second example in the following points. In the eighth example, the first floor portion 21 is defined as a floor of a reference story. In the eighth example, the building 1 includes an upper-story floor portion 40 forming an upper-story located above the reference story. The first room 8 includes a portion arranged along the second floor portion 22, defining a window side region WA.

The building 1 includes a first wall 11 having a first opening 31 and a second additional wall 14 orthogonal to the first wall 11. The building 1 further includes a projection vertical wall 20 opposed to the second additional wall 14. The projection vertical wall 20 is orthogonal to the first wall 11 and projects outward. The second floor portion 22 is arranged so as to just fit between the second additional wall 14 and the projection vertical wall 20. The second floor portion 22 is arranged outward from the first wall 11. The second additional wall 14 may be provided with a shelf.

The upper-story floor portion 40 has a structure defining an open-ceiling space S1 in a region including at least the window side region WA in plan view. The open-ceiling space S1 is arranged along the first wall 11. In addition to the first opening 31, the first wall 11 includes an upper opening 33 located above the first opening 31. The first opening 31 and the upper opening 33 face the open-ceiling space S1. The upper opening 33 is provided with a window 18. The upper opening 33 may be configured as a grid window.

The present embodiment has the following advantages.

(1) The building 1 includes the fourth floor portion 24 arranged outdoors in addition to the first floor portion 21, the second floor portion 22, and the third floor portion 23. The fourth floor portion 24 is arranged along the first opening 31 at the same height as the second floor portion 22. This structure facilitates the use of the exterior space near the first opening 31.

(2) The building 1 further includes the second wall 12 intersecting the first wall 11, the second opening 32 arranged in the second wall 12 and provided with the window 18, and the fifth floor portion 25 located at the same height as the second floor portion 22. The fifth floor portion 25 extends along the second opening 32 at the same height as the lower end 32A of the second opening 32. This structure facilitates the use of a space near the first opening 31 or the second opening 32 at an inside corner or an outside corner located in the interior of the building 1.

(3) The building 1 may further include the sixth floor portion 26 arranged outdoors. The sixth floor portion 26 is arranged along the second opening 32 at the same height as the fifth floor portion 25. This structure facilitates the use of a space near the first opening 31 or the second opening 32 at an inside corner or an outside corner located at the exterior of the building 1.

(4) The building 1 may include the partition 38 arranged in the first room 8. The partition 38 is opposed to the first opening 31 of the first wall 11 and located at a position within 1500 mm from the first opening 31. The partition 38 includes furniture or a partition wall. This structure provides a window-side room WR where one may sit at the window side and rest quietly while avoiding noise or disturbance. Thus, the room may give a sense of enclosure along the window side.

(5) In the building 1, the upper-story floor portion 40 has a structure defining the open-ceiling space S1 in a region including at least the window side region WA in plan view. This structure provides a space allowing one sitting on the window side to communicate with a person on an upper-story.

(6) In the building 1, the first wall 11 further includes the upper opening 33 located above the first opening 31. This structure guides light to the open-ceiling space S1 from the upper opening 33. Thus, the first room 8 is brightened by natural light.

Modified Examples

The above embodiments exemplify, without any intention to limit, applicable forms of the building 1. The building 1 exemplified in the embodiments can take a form different from those illustrated in the embodiments. In an example, the structures of the above embodiments may be replaced, changed, or omitted in part or include additional elements. Modified examples of the above embodiments will now be described below.

The structures (1) to (6) described in the first embodiment may be applied to the building 1 of the second embodiment. In this case, the advantages (1) to (6) described in the first embodiment are obtained.

In the first and second embodiments, a member forming an upper surface portion of the second floor portion 22 is not limited. In an example, the upper surface of the second floor portion 22 may be formed of wood or a plate material with a carpet or a cushion. A member forming an upper surface portion of the fourth floor portion 24 is not limited. In an example, the upper surface portion of the fourth floor portion 24 may be formed of wood or may be formed of a plate material with a resin sheet.

This specification discloses the following technique.

Clause 1

A building includes a first wall separating an interior and an exterior of the building, a first opening arranged in the first wall and provided with a window, a first room connecting to the exterior through the first opening, a first floor portion arranged in the first room, a second floor portion arranged in the first room, and a third floor portion arranged at the exterior. The first opening includes a lower end arranged above the first floor portion. The second floor portion is arranged along the first opening at the same height as the lower end of the first opening. The third floor portion is arranged along the first wall at a position lower than the second floor portion. A height of the second floor portion is set to allow a person to sit with a foot on the first floor portion when facing the interior and to sit with the foot on the third floor portion when facing the exterior.

Clause 2

The building according to clause 1, further includes a fourth floor portion arranged at the exterior. The fourth floor portion is arranged along the first opening at the same height as the second floor portion.

Clause 3

The building according to clause 1 or 2, further includes first additional wall arranged parallel to the first wall, and a second additional wall connecting the first wall and the first additional wall. The first wall and the first additional wall are arranged to face the same direction in plan view. The first wall is arranged outward from the first additional wall. The second floor portion has a first end in a first direction extending along the first wall. The first end of the second floor portion is in contact with the second additional wall.

Clause 4

The building according to clause 3, further includes a third additional wall orthogonal to the first wall. The second floor portion has a second end opposite to the first end. The second end of the second floor portion is opposed to the third additional wall.

Clause 5

The building according to clause 3, the second floor portion has a third end in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, the third end of the second floor portion abutting the first opening. The second floor portion has a fourth end opposite to the third end. The fourth end of the second floor portion and the first additional wall are located in the same position in the second direction.

Clause 6

The building according to clause 1 or 2, further includes an overhang. The overhang overhangs a portion of the third floor portion extending along the first opening. An underside surface of the overhang, an upper end of the first opening, and a ceiling of the first room are set to be equal to each other in height.

Clause 7

The building according to clause 2, further includes a second wall intersecting the first wall, a second opening arranged in the second wall and provided with a window, and a fifth floor portion located at the same height as the second floor portion. The fifth floor portion is arranged along the second opening at the same height as a lower end of the second opening.

Clause 8

The building according to clause 7, further includes a sixth floor portion arranged at the exterior. The sixth floor portion is arranged along the second opening at the same height as the fifth floor portion.

Clause 9

The building according to clause 1 or 2, further includes a partition arranged in the first room. The partition is opposed to the first opening of the first wall and located at a position within 1000 mm from the first opening. The partition includes furniture or a partition wall.

Clause 10

The building according to clause 1 or 2, further includes an upper-story floor portion forming a story above a reference story. The first floor portion is defined as a floor of the reference story. The first room includes a portion arranged along the second floor portion, defining a window side region. The upper-story floor portion has a structure such that, in plan view, a region including at least the window side region is an open-ceiling space.

Clause 11In the building according to clause 10, the first wall further includes an upper opening located above the first opening. Claims

1. A building comprising:

a first wall separating an interior and an exterior of the building;
a first opening arranged in the first wall and provided with a window;
a first room connecting to the exterior through the first opening;
a first floor portion arranged in the first room;
a second floor portion arranged in the first room; and
a third floor portion arranged at the exterior, wherein
the first opening includes a lower end arranged above the first floor portion,
the second floor portion is arranged along the first opening at the same height as the lower end of the first opening,
the third floor portion is arranged along the first wall at a position lower than the second floor portion, and
a height of the second floor portion is set to allow a person to sit with a foot on the first floor portion when facing the interior and to sit with the foot on the third floor portion when facing the exterior.

2. The building according to claim 1, further comprising:

a fourth floor portion arranged at the exterior,
wherein the fourth floor portion is arranged along the first opening at the same height as the second floor portion.

3. The building according to claim 1, further comprising:

a first additional wall arranged parallel to the first wall; and
a second additional wall connecting the first wall and the first additional wall, wherein
the first wall and the first additional wall are arranged to face the same direction in plan view,
the first wall is arranged outward from the first additional wall,
the second floor portion has a first end in a first direction extending along the first wall, and
the first end of the second floor portion is in contact with the second additional wall.

4. The building according to claim 3, further comprising:

a third additional wall orthogonal to the first wall,
wherein the second floor portion has a second end opposite to the first end, and
the second end of the second floor portion is opposed to the third additional wall.

5. The building according to claim 3, wherein

the second floor portion has a third end in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, the third end of the second floor portion abutting the first opening,
the second floor portion has a fourth end opposite to the third end, and
the fourth end of the second floor portion and the first additional wall are located in the same position in the second direction.

6. The building according to claim 1, further comprising:

an overhang, wherein
the overhang overhangs a portion of the third floor portion extending along the first opening,
an underside surface of the overhang, an upper end of the first opening, and a ceiling of the first room are set to be equal to each other in height.

7. The building according to claim 2, further comprising:

a second wall intersecting the first wall;
a second opening arranged in the second wall and provided with a window; and
a fifth floor portion located at the same height as the second floor portion,
wherein the fifth floor portion is arranged along the second opening at the same height as a lower end of the second opening.

8. The building according to claim 7, further comprising:

a sixth floor portion arranged at the exterior,
wherein the sixth floor portion is arranged along the second opening at the same height as the fifth floor portion.

9. The building according to claim 1, further comprising:

a partition arranged in the first room, wherein
the partition is opposed to the first opening of the first wall and located at a position within 1500 mm from the first opening, and
the partition includes furniture or a partition wall.

10. The building according to claim 1, further comprising:

an upper-story floor portion forming a story above a reference story, wherein
the first floor portion is defined as a floor of the reference story,
the first room includes a portion arranged along the second floor portion, defining a window side region, and
the upper-story floor portion has a structure such that, in plan view, a region including at least the window side region is an open-ceiling space.

11. The building according to claim 10, wherein the first wall further includes an upper opening located above the first opening.

12. The building according to claim 1, wherein the second floor portion is connected to the first floor portion by a step wall.
