Configurable Jewelry Storage Device

A configurable jewelry storage device is provided. The device comprises a decorative base configured to support a circular frame for organizing and displaying wearable accessories. The base may be sculpted as hands forming a heart shape and can support jewelry along the wrist area. A circular frame member mounted to the base includes a channel that receives multiple storage compartments, each comprising a container body and a lid. Containers may be spherical or alternatively shaped and are slidably or pivotably attached to the channel via male connectors. Each lid includes a hinge and locking mechanism and may be transparent for visibility. Customizable stickers with indicia may also be applied to the containers. Repositionable decorative elements may attach along the frame and may act as spacers or visual enhancements.

CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION

The present application claims priority to, and the benefit of, U.S. Provisional Application No. 63/754,654, which was filed on February 6, 2025, and is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety.

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates generally to the field of jewelry storage. More specifically, the present invention relates to a jewelry organizer and display system, featuring a decorative base and a circular frame that holds multiple movable storage compartments for wearable accessories. Accordingly, the present disclosure makes specific reference thereto. Nonetheless, it is to be appreciated that aspects of the present invention are also equally applicable to other like applications, devices, and methods of manufacture.

BACKGROUND

Many individuals accumulate collections of friendship bracelets and similar jewelry items. These items frequently lack a designated storage solution and are instead placed in arbitrary locations throughout the home. This practice increases the likelihood of loss or damage, particularly for custom-made bracelets that may hold sentimental value or represent significant personal effort. The absence of an organized method for storing these items not only creates clutter but also contributes to user frustration when items are misplaced. Additionally, the inability to safely display and access these accessories limits opportunities for self-expression and discourages regular use of the items. For users who value the presentation of their jewelry, the lack of a customizable display format reduces enjoyment and engagement with their collections. Current storage methods, such as standard boxes or drawers, do not support modularity, personalization, or decorative appeal. As such, a need exists for an integrated system that facilitates both secure storage and visually engaging display of small jewelry articles.

Therefore, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a configurable jewelry storage device that securely stores multiple pieces of small wearable accessories in a modular and organized fashion. There also exists a long-felt need in the art for a configurable jewelry storage device that enables users to customize the display and arrangement of stored items in a visually engaging manner. Moreover, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a configurable jewelry storage device that supports interactive personalization and offers users the ability to label, access, and rearrange individual compartments with ease.

The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a configurable jewelry storage device. The device is comprised of a decorative base configured to support a frame member and that is adapted for organizing and displaying wearable accessories. The base is optionally sculpted to represent a pair of hands forming a heart shape and is further configured to receive and support various articles of jewelry along the wrist area. A substantially circular frame member is attached to or supported by the base and comprises at least one channel, wherein a plurality of storage compartments are operably attached to the frame member with each compartment comprising a container body and a corresponding lid. The container body may be spherical or alternatively shaped and is connected to the channel via a male frame member designed for sliding, pivoting, or rotating engagement along the channel. Each lid may include a hinge mechanism and a locking system to permit secure closure. Compartments may be transparent or partially transparent to allow visual access to contents. Customizable stickers bearing indicia such as symbols, characters, or letters may be affixed to the compartments. Additionally, decorative elements are repositionably attachable along the frame using dedicated attachment members and may serve functional roles as spacers between compartments or visual enhancements.

In this manner, the configurable jewelry storage device of the present invention accomplishes all the foregoing objectives and provides a device that enables secure, modular storage of small accessories in individually enclosed containers that prevent loss or damage. The adjustable channel system and decorative base further offer a customizable display format that enhances user interaction and provides visual appeal. The incorporation of interchangeable decorative elements and labeling stickers further supports personalization and organization, addressing the practical and emotional needs of users who wish to store and showcase their jewelry collections in a structured yet expressive format.

SUMMARY

The following presents a simplified summary to provide a basic understanding of some aspects of the disclosed innovation. This summary is not an extensive overview, and it is not intended to identify key/critical elements or to delineate the scope thereof. Its sole purpose is to present some general concepts in a simplified form as a prelude to the more detailed description that is presented later.

The subject matter disclosed and claimed herein, in one embodiment thereof, comprises a configurable jewelry storage device. The device is a decorative apparatus configured for storing, organizing, and displaying wearable accessories, including but not limited to bracelets, necklaces, earrings, rings, and hair ties. The device provides both functional storage and visual appeal through customizable and modular elements, enabling separation and display of individual items.

The device is comprised of a base, which may take various forms. In one embodiment, the base includes a sculptural representation of a pair of hands forming a heart shape. The wrist regions of the base are adapted to support jewelry items such as bracelets and hair accessories.

The device further includes at least one frame member supported by or attached to the base. The frame member is preferably circular, forming a ring or loop positioned above or around the base. The frame member incorporates at least one continuous or segmented channel.

At least one storage compartment is operably attached to the frame member. Each compartment is comprised of a container body and a corresponding lid. More specifically, the container body is attached to the frame member through a male attachment element that engages the channel. The engagement allows for rotation, sliding, or pivoting along the channel to adjust compartment position or alignment. Each storage compartment includes a lid connected to the container body via a hinge. The compartment may include a locking mechanism that secures the lid in a closed position. The storage compartment may further include at least one sticker featuring customizable indicia such as letters, symbols, emojis, monograms, or color-coded labels for decorative or functional identification.

Decorative elements may also be attachable to the frame member using an attachment member such that the elements are repositionable along the channel to enable aesthetic customization. The decorative elements may include various decorative appearances. These elements may also function as spacers or bumpers to control compartment spacing along the frame member.

Accordingly, the configurable jewelry storage device of the present invention is particularly advantageous as it provides a device that enables secure, modular storage of small accessories in individually enclosed containers that prevent loss or damage. The adjustable channel system and decorative base further offer a customizable display format that enhances user interaction and provides visual appeal. The incorporation of interchangeable decorative elements and labeling stickers further supports personalization and organization. Therefore, the device addresses the practical and emotional needs of users who wish to store and showcase their jewelry collections in a structured yet expressive format.

To the accomplishment of the foregoing and related ends, certain illustrative aspects of the disclosed innovation are described herein in connection with the following description and the annexed drawings. These aspects are indicative, however, of but a few of the various ways in which the principles disclosed herein can be employed and are intended to include all such aspects and their equivalents. Other advantages and novel features will become apparent from the following detailed description when considered in conjunction with the drawings.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The innovation is now described with reference to the drawings, wherein like reference numerals are used to refer to like elements throughout. In the following description, for purposes of explanation, numerous specific details are set forth to provide a thorough understanding thereof. It may be evident, however, that the innovation can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, well-known structures and devices are shown in block diagram form to facilitate a description thereof. Various embodiments are discussed hereinafter. It should be noted that the figures are described only to facilitate the description of the embodiments. They are not intended as an exhaustive description of the invention and do not limit the scope of the invention. Additionally, an illustrated embodiment need not have all the aspects or advantages shown. Thus, in other embodiments, any of the features described herein from different embodiments may be combined.

As noted above, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a configurable jewelry storage device that securely stores multiple pieces of small wearable accessories in a modular and organized fashion. There also exists a long-felt need in the art for a configurable jewelry storage device that enables users to customize the display and arrangement of stored items in a visually engaging manner. Moreover, there exists a long-felt need in the art for a configurable jewelry storage device that supports interactive personalization and offers users the ability to label, access, and rearrange individual compartments with ease.

The present invention, in one exemplary embodiment, is comprised of a configurable jewelry storage device. The device is designed for storing, organizing, and displaying wearable accessories, including bracelets, necklaces, earrings, rings, and hair ties. The device provides functional storage and visual appeal through modular and customizable components that allow for separation and individual display of each item.

The apparatus is comprised of a base, which may take various forms. In one embodiment, the base features a sculptural design representing a pair of hands forming a heart shape. The wrist areas of the base are configured to support jewelry items such as bracelets and hair accessories.

At least one frame member is supported by or connected to the base. The frame member is preferably circular and forms a ring or loop positioned above or around the base. A continuous or segmented channel is integrated into the frame member.

At least one storage compartment is operably mounted to the frame member. Each compartment includes a container body and a corresponding lid. The container body is connected to the frame member through a male attachment element that interfaces with the channel, allowing the compartment to rotate, slide, or pivot for adjustable positioning. Each lid is connected to the container body via a hinge and may include a locking mechanism to maintain a closed state. Customizable stickers displaying indicia such as letters, symbols, emojis, monograms, or color-coded labels may be applied for decorative or identification purposes.

Decorative elements may be affixed to the frame member using an attachment member, enabling repositioning along the channel for aesthetic customization. These elements may possess various decorative appearances and may also function as spacers or bumpers to regulate the spacing between compartments.

As a result, the device provides secure, modular containment of small accessories in individual enclosed compartments that reduce the risk of loss or damage. The adjustable channel system and decorative base offer a customizable format that enhances user engagement and visual presentation. Interchangeable decorative elements and labeling features further support personalization and organization, addressing both functional and expressive needs related to jewelry storage and display.

Referring initially to the drawings, FIG. 1 illustrates a front view of one potential embodiment of a configurable jewelry storage device 100 of the present invention in accordance with the disclosed architecture. The device 100 is configured as a decorative device for storing, organizing, and displaying wearable accessories such as but not limited to friendship bracelets, necklaces, earrings, rings, hair ties, and other small jewelry items. The device 100 may serve both functional and aesthetic purposes, providing an accessible, customizable, and visually engaging platform for users to store individual pieces in separate containers that are easily opened, closed, moved, and decorated. The modular and interactive nature of the device 100 encourages organization and personalization, making it suitable for daily use, decorative display, gifting, or themed collections.

The device 100 is comprised of a base 102. The base 102 may be of any desired shape or configuration. In one embodiment, the base 102 is comprised of a sculptural representation of a pair of hands that form a heart shape with the fingers 104 of the hands, as seen in FIG. 1. Alternative shapes for the base 102 may include but are not limited to pedestals, platforms, trays, geometric volumes, or themed figurines. The wrist area 106 are further adapted to receive and support jewelry articles 10 such as but not limited to bracelets, hair accessories, etc., as seen in FIG. 5

The device 100 is further comprised of at least one frame member 108 that is attached to or supported by the base 102. The frame member 108 is preferably substantially circular in configuration, forming a loop or a ring positioned above or around the base 102. The frame member 108 is further comprised of at least one continuous or segmented channel 110 such as but not limited to a C-shaped, U-shaped, T-slotted, dovetail, or other channel type.

The device 100 is further comprised of at least one storage compartment 112 that is operably attached to the frame member 108, as seen in FIG. 5. Each storage compartment 112 may be comprised of a container body 111 and a corresponding lid 114. In one embodiment, the storage compartment 112 is substantially spherical in shape. Alternative shapes may include but are not limited to cylindrical, cubic, polyhedral, capsule-shaped, heart-shaped, or novelty-themed containers.

The body 111 of each storage compartment 112 is attached to the frame member 108 via a male frame member 115 (as seen in FIG. 2) such as but not limited to a projection, tab, rib, flange, ball joint, or rail insert that engages the channel 110. The engagement may be rotatable, slidable, or pivotable along the length of the channel 110 to permit positional adjustment or rotational alignment. The attachment mechanism may incorporate detents, friction interfaces, magnetic couplings, or mechanical guides to manage movement and retention of the compartment 112.

Each storage compartment 112 is further comprised of a lid 114, which may be secured to the container body via a hinge 116. The hinge 116 may be comprised of but not limited to a living hinge, pin hinge, pivot arm, ball-and-socket joint, or flexible polymer band to allow opening and closing of the lid 114, as seen in FIG. 3 and FIG. 5. The lid 114 may be fully or partially transparent to permit viewing of the jewelry stored within the compartment 112.

The storage compartment 112 may also be comprised of a locking mechanism 118 such as but not limited to a snap-fit latch, twist-lock mechanism, magnetic catch, sliding bolt, or elastic retainer that secures the lid 114 in the closed position to the body 111, as seen in FIG. 5.

The storage compartment 112 may also be comprised of at least one sticker 120, as seen in FIG. 5. The sticker 120 may include decorative, functional, or customizable indicia 121 such as but not limited to letters, numbers, monograms, emojis, logos, symbols, icons, characters, or color-coded labels.

In a further embodiment, the device 100 is comprised of decorative elements 122 that are repositionably attachable to the channel 110 via at least one attachment member 124 (as seen in FIG. 4) of the element 122. The attachment member 124 may be comprised of structures such as but not limited to clips, tabs, magnetic inserts, flexible arms, detents, pegs, or sleeves that allow the decorative elements 122 to be secured at desired positions along the frame member 108.

The decorative elements 122 may be comprised of visual enhancements that include but are not limited to miniature figures, animal shapes, celestial symbols, seasonal ornaments, thematic icons, beads, letters, shapes such as hearts or stars, translucent gems, feathers, ribbons, faux plants, etc. In various embodiments, the decorative elements 122 may serve a dual function as spacers or bumpers to manage the spacing of storage compartments 112 along the channel 110, as seen in FIG. 5.

During use, the device 100 enables users to store and display multiple pieces of jewelry or accessories in an organized and visually engaging manner. The rotational and positional adjustability of the storage compartments 112 along the channel 110 facilitates user interaction, access, and display customization. The modularity of the compartments 112 and decorative elements 122 permits personalized configurations to suit individual preferences, seasonal variations, and variable storage demands.

Certain terms are used throughout the following description and claims to refer to particular features or components. As one skilled in the art will appreciate, different persons may refer to the same feature or component by different names. This document does not intend to distinguish between components or features that differ in name but not structure or function. As used herein “configurable jewelry storage device” and “device” are interchangeable and refer to the configurable jewelry storage device 100 of the present invention.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, the configurable jewelry storage device 100 of the present invention and its various components can be of any suitable size and configuration as is known in the art without affecting the overall concept of the invention, provided that they accomplish the above-stated objectives. One of ordinary skill in the art will appreciate that the size, configuration, and material of the configurable jewelry storage device 100 as shown in the FIGS. are for illustrative purposes only, and that many other sizes and shapes of the configurable jewelry storage device 100 are well within the scope of the present disclosure. Although the dimensions of the configurable jewelry storage device 100 are important design parameters for user convenience, the configurable jewelry storage device 100 may be of any size, shape, and/or configuration that ensures optimal performance during use and/or that suits the user’s needs and/or preferences.

Various modifications and additions can be made to the exemplary embodiments discussed without departing from the scope of the present invention. While the embodiments described above refer to particular features, the scope of this invention also includes embodiments having different combinations of features and embodiments that do not include all the described features. Accordingly, the scope of the present invention is intended to embrace all such alternatives, modifications, and variations as fall within the scope of the claims, together with all equivalents thereof.

What has been described above includes examples of the claimed subject matter. It is, of course, not possible to describe every conceivable combination of components or methodologies for purposes of describing the claimed subject matter, but one of ordinary skill in the art may recognize that many further combinations and permutations of the claimed subject matter are possible. Accordingly, the claimed subject matter is intended to embrace all such alterations, The adjustable garment hanger device of claim 16, wherein the hook is comprised of a modifications, and variations that fall within the spirit and scope of the appended claims. Furthermore, to the extent that the term “includes” is used in either the detailed description or the claims, such term is intended to be inclusive in a manner similar to the term “comprising” as “comprising” is interpreted when employed as a transitional word in a claim.

Claims

1. A configurable jewelry storage device comprising:

a base;
a frame member attached to the base, the frame member comprised of a channel; and
a storage compartment operably attached to the frame member, the storage compartment comprising a container body and a lid.

2. The configurable jewelry storage device of claim 1, wherein the base resembles a pair of hands.

3. The configurable jewelry storage device of claim 2, wherein a plurality of fingers of the pair of hands form a heart shape.

4. The configurable jewelry storage device of claim 2 further comprised of a wrist area.

5. The configurable jewelry storage device of claim 1, wherein the lid is transparent.

6. The configurable jewelry storage device of claim 1, wherein the storage compartment attaches to the channel via a male frame member that engages the channel.

7. The configurable jewelry storage device of claim 1, wherein the lid attaches to the container body via a hinge.

8. The configurable jewelry storage device of claim 1 further comprised of a sticker.

9. A configurable jewelry storage device comprising:

a base;
a frame member attached to the base, the frame member comprised of a channel; and
a storage compartment operably attached to the frame member, the storage compartment comprising a container body, a lid, and a locking mechanism.

10. The configurable jewelry storage device of claim 9, wherein the lid is transparent.

11. The configurable jewelry storage device of claim 9, wherein the storage compartment attaches to the channel via a male frame member that engages the channel.

12. The configurable jewelry storage device of claim 9, wherein the lid attaches to the container body via a hinge.

13. The configurable jewelry storage device of claim 9 further comprised of a sticker.

14. A configurable jewelry storage device comprising:

a base;
a frame member attached to the base, the frame member comprised of a channel;
a first storage compartment operably attached to the frame member via the channel, the storage compartment comprising a container body and a lid; and
a decorative element operably attached to the frame member via the channel.

15. The configurable jewelry storage device of claim 14, wherein the decorative element is comprised of an attachment member that attaches to the channel.

16. The configurable jewelry storage device of claim 15, wherein the attachment member is comprised of a clip, a tab, a magnetic insert, a flexible arm, a detent, a peg, or a sleeve.

17. The configurable jewelry storage device of claim 14 further comprised of a second storage compartment.

18. The configurable jewelry storage device of claim 17, wherein the decorative element is positioned between the first storage compartment and the second storage compartment.

19. The configurable jewelry storage device of claim 14, wherein the lid is transparent.

20. The configurable jewelry storage device of claim 14, wherein the storage compartment attaches to the channel via a male frame member that engages the channel.
