The control device for a smart MIDI controller is a chord keyboard and a string pad keyboard both located on the top of the device; the chord keyboard is located on the left side of the device and comprises 56 keys arranged in rows; each key has the shape of a cylinder on a leg and is provided with an inscription in the center; the top line of keys has an additional 57th key without an inscription; the string pads are arranged in an arcuate fashion on the right side of the device; the pads are arranged sequentially in four groups, each containing three double pads and one single; each single pad has a rectangular shape with rounded corners and is provided with an oval recess for a fingertip; each double pad has a vertically oriented rectangular shape with rounded corners and is provided with two platforms with oval recesses for fingertips at its top and bottom, while the top and bottom platforms with oval recesses for fingertips are offset relative to each other.
