FIG. 5 is a front view thereof;

FIG. 6 is a side view thereof, the other side view thereof being a mirror image;

FIG. 7 is a bottom view thereof;

FIG. 8 is a side view of the portion of a handheld electronic device in a state of use;

FIG. 9 is a perspective view thereof;

FIG. 10 is an enlarged first perspective view of a portion of a handheld electronic device, showing a second embodiment of our new design;

FIG. 11 is an enlarged second perspective view thereof;

FIG. 13 is a top view thereof;

The broken lines depict portions of the portion of a handheld electronic device which form no part of the claimed design. Unshaded surfaces bound by broken lines form no part of the claimed design. The electronic device body and handle depicted in broken lines in FIGS. 8, 9, 17 and 18 depict environmental subject matter and form no part of the claimed design. The stipple shading shown in FIGS. 10-18 represents only variations in surface shadow and highlights and does not represent tonal contrast or any particular color, material, texture, or finish.

The ornamental design for a portion of a handheld electronic device, as shown and described.
