FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a foldable base for an item such as a floor lamp, showing my design in a first position of use.

My design extends to—but does not include—the dash-dot boundary lines drawn on the base around the hinge, around the arm above and below the arm's connection to the first link, and around the first and second links proximate their connections to the arm, each other, and the base.

The dashed lines in the figures form no part of the claimed design. Surface shading in the figures is provided solely to indicate contour. Any surfaces or portions of my foldable base for an item such as a floor lamp not shown in the figures or otherwise described in the specification form no part of the claimed design.
