Electrical outlet guard
FIG. 1 is a top plan view of an electrical outlet guard, showing our new design, the longitudinal clamping slot being in open position;
FIG. 2 is a bottom plan view;
FIG. 3 is an elevational view of the left-hand side of FIG. 1, the opposite side being in mirror symmetry;
FIG. 4 is an elevational view of the upper end of FIG. 1;
FIG. 5 is a side elevational view of the lower end of FIG. 1;
FIG. 6 is a sectional view of the hub portion of the device taken on a diameter as indicated by the line 6 -- 6 in FIG. 1;
FIG. 7 is a fragmentary longitudinal sectional view of the limb of the device containing the clamping slot, the plane of the section being indicated by the line 7 -- 7 in FIG. 1;
FIG. 8 is a transverse sectional view of one of the limbs, the plane of the section being indicated by the line 8 -- 8 in FIG. 1;
FIG. 9 is a top plan view, to a reduced scale, showing the longitudinal clamping slot partially closed by a clamping screw spanning the registering threaded openings in the clamping screw bosses on opposite sides of the clamping slot, FIG. 9 also showing the broken line, in order to illustrate the environment, a typical electrical plug clamped in the central hub of the device with the plug in the upper outlet of a typical dual outlet underlying the device; and,
FIG. 10 is a sectional view taken on the plane indicated by the line 10 -- 10 in FIG. 9, and showing in broken line, to illustrate the environment, a typical plug clamped in the constricted hub with the contact prongs extending through the cover plate into the upper one of the dual outlets.
