FIG. 1 is a plan view of a housing for a fire and smoke detector showing my new design;

FIG. 2 is a side view thereof as seen from the right hand side of FIG. 1;

FIG. 3 is an end view thereof, and

FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional elevation view of the housing taken substantially along the lines 4--4 of FIG. 1.
