FIG. 1 is an elevational view of one embodiment of the blood sampling needle embodying my new design, there being shown in phantom a connection means for securing the needle to a hypodermic syringe;

FIG. 2 is an elevational view taken from the left side of the needle as shown in FIG. 1;

FIG. 3 is an elevational view taken from the right side of the needle as shown in FIG. 1;

FIG. 4 is an elevational view taken from the rear side of the needle as shown in FIG. 1;

FIG. 5 is an end elevational view taken from the skin-puncturing end of the needle of FIG. 1 as viewed from line 5--5;

FIG. 6 is a transverse sectional view of the needle taken along line 6--6 of FIG. 2;

FIG. 7 is an elevational view of another embodiment of the blood sampling needle embodying my new design, there being shown in phantom a connection means for securing the needle to a pre-evacuated blood container;

FIG. 8 is an elevational view taken from the left side of the needle as shown in FIG. 7;

FIG. 9 is an elevational view taken from the right side of the needle as shown in FIG. 7;

FIG. 10 is an elevational view taken from the rear side of the needle as shown in FIG. 7;

FIG. 11 is an end elevational view taken from the skin-puncturing end of the needle of FIG. 7 as viewed from line 11--11;
