Mute for brass instruments
Description
FIG. 1 is a top plan view of a mute for brass instruments showing my new design;
FIG. 2 is an elevational view;
FIG. 3 is a bottom plan view; and
FIG. 4 is a sectional view taken along the line 4--4 in FIG. 1.
The characteristic feature of my design is the outward curvature of the bottom portion of the upper member of the mute, to a diameter greater than that of the intermediate rim of the upper member, which curvature is re-entrant to the central shaft of the lower member of the mute.
