FIG. 2 is a top plan view thereof to an enlarged scale;

FIG. 3 is an end elevation view thereof taken along the line 3--3 in FIG. 2;

FIG. 4 is a side elevational view thereof taken along the line 4--4 in FIG. 2 to an enlarged scale;

FIG. 5 is a side elevation view of one of the independent slats forming a part of the luggage carrier assembly taken along the line 5--5 in FIG. 2 to a greatly enlarged scale and broken away in the middle for convenience of illustration;

FIG. 6 is a greatly enlarged fragmentary sectional elevation view thereof taken along the line 6--6 of FIG. 2;

FIG. 7 is a greatly enlarged fragmentary sectional elevation view thereof taken along the line 7--7 in FIG. 2;

FIG. 8 is a sectional view taken along line 8--8 of FIG. 6;

FIG. 9 is a sectional view taken along line 9--9 of FIG. 5; and

FIG. 10 is a sectional view taken along line 10--10 of FIG. 5.
