FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a surgical staple showing my new design;

FIG. 2 is an end elevational view thereof;

FIG. 3 is a side elevational view thereof;

FIG. 4 is a side elevational view thereof taken at an angle of 90.degree. from the side shown in FIG. 3; and _

FIG. 5 is an end elevational view thereof taken from the end opposite that shown in FIG. 2.
