FIG. 1 is a prespective view of a steam iron showing our new design, showing the top, front and left side thereof.

FIG. 2 is a front elevational view thereof;

FIG. 3 is a right side elevational view, the side opposite being a mirror image thereof;

FIG. 4 is a rear elevational view thereof;

FIG. 5 is a top plan view thereof;

FIG. 6 is a bottom plan view thereof;

FIG. 7 is a fragmentary cross section taken substantially on line 7--7 of FIG. 6 and is representative of all of the holes and grooves in the sole plate of the iron shown in FIG. 6;

FIG. 8 is a fragmentary cross section taken substantially on line 8--8 of FIG. 6 and, except for the length of the groove, is representative of all of the holes with grooves extended therefrom in the sole plate of the steam iron as shown in FIG. 6.

FIG. 9 is a perspective view similar to FIG. 1, showing a modification thereof, the only difference being that there is only one button on top of the iron handle rather than the two buttons in the embodiment of FIGS. 1 through 8, the entire design of the embodiment of FIG. 9 being otherwise depicted in FIGS. 1 through 7; and

FIG. 10 is a perspective view similar to FIGS. 1 and 9, showing yet another embodiment thereof, the only difference in the embodiment of FIG. 10 and the embodiment of FIG. 9 being that there is no spray nozzle at the front of the iron of FIG. 10.
