FIG. 1 is a top plan view of a roof drill bit for mining illustrating one embodiment of the invention;

FIG. 2 is a side elevational view of the roof drill bit of FIG. 1, the opposite side view therefrom being the same;

FIG. 3 is another side elevational view of the roof drill bit, as rotated 90.degree. clockwise from the FIGS 1 and 2 position thereof, the opposite side view therefrom being the same;

FIG. 4 is a bottom view of the roof drill bit of FIG. 1;

FIG. 5 is a perspective view of the roof drill bit of FIG. 1;

FIG. 6 is a top plan view similar to FIG. 1, but showing a second embodiment of the roof drill bit for mining;

FIG. 7 is a side elevational view of the second roof drill bit embodiment shown in FIG. 6, the opposite side view therefrom being the same;

FIG. 8 is another side elevational view of the second roof drill bit embodiment, as rotated 90.degree. clockwise from the FIGS. 6 and 7 position thereof, the opposite side view therefrom being the same;

FIG. 9 is a bottom view of the roof drill bit embodiment of FIG. 6; and,

FIG. 10 is a perspective view of the roof drill bit of FIG. 6.

The fluted shank illustrated in phantom lines in FIGS. 2, 3, 5 and 7, 8, 10 is shown for environmental purposes and is non-limiting upon the scope of the invention.
