FIG. 1 is a front perspective view of a hanging lamp according to the present invention, wherein the lamp is generally symmetrical by its vertical axis so that side and rear views are substantially the same as the view of FIG. 1;

FIG. 3 is a bottom plan view of the lamp of FIG. 1;
FIG. 4 is an enlarged front elevation view of the top end of one of the metal support ropes, the remainder of the rope and the lamp being omitted for convenience of illustration;

FIG. 7 is an enlarged front elevation view of the bottom end of one of the metal support ropes which supports the shade, the remainder of the rope and the lamp being omitted for convenience of illustration;
FIG. 8 is a side elevation view of the segment of FIG. 7 taken from the right side of FIG. 7; and,
FIG. 9 is a side elevation view of the rope segment of FIG. 7 taken from the left side of FIG. 7.
