FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a preferred embodiment of a transmission belt showing our new design in a position of use, the broken lines showing, for illustrative purposes only, the entire length of the belt when associated with a pair of spaced-apart pulleys, the pulleys forming no part of the design;

FIG. 2 is a side elevational view of the upper run of the belt shown in FIG. 1as indicated by the section lines 2--2 in FIG. 1, the opposite side elevational view being a mirror image thereof;

FIG. 3 is a top plan view of the portion of the belt shown in FIG. 2;

FIG. 4 is a bottom plan view of the portion of the belt shown in FIG. 2;

FIG. 5 is a fragmentary longitudinal sectional view taken on the line 5--5 of FIG. 3; and,

FIG. 6 is a transverse sectional view taken on the line 6--6 of FIG. 3.
