Description

FIG. 1 is a front view of a lens for light showing the new design.

FIG. 2 is a rear view thereof.

FIG. 3 is a right side view thereof, the left side view being a mirror image of the right side view.

FIG. 4 is a top view thereof, the bottom view being a mirror image of the top view; and,

FIG. 5 is an end elevational view in section taken along line 55 in FIG. 1.

The claimed lens for light comprises two transparent lens plates that are overlaid on each other. The claimed lens for light is suited to be disposed in front of illuminating elements arranged on a substrate in a grid array for controlling the distribution of luminous intensity. There is a plurality of fly-eye lenses arranged on the inner surfaces of the front and rear lens plates in a grid array, and there is a plurality of Fresnel lenses arranged on the outer surface of the rear lens plate in a linear array.
