Stepped tile floor for a solid fuel boiler

Description

The article in which the present design is embodied is a stepped tile floor for a solid fuel boiler, such as the one described in U.S. patent application Ser. No. 12/557,085 filed on Sep. 10, 2009, which is incorporated herein by reference. A solid fuel boiler may use one or more of sets of stepped tile flooring as shown herein.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a stepped tile floor for a solid fuel boiler according to the present design.

FIG. 2 is a cross section view along line 2-2 showing the arrangement of the tiles for the stepped floor shown in FIG. 1.

FIG. 3 is an enlarged detail view of a portion of the tiles forming the steps for the stepped floor shown in FIG. 1, with a partial cutaway showing the lower layer of tiles.

FIG. 4 is an enlarged detail view of the tiles forming one of the steps for the stepped floor shown in FIG. 1; and,

FIG. 5 is an exploded view of the step of FIG. 4 showing the top tile layer, the bottom tile layer, and the front tile layer.

The broken lines showing the frame for the stepped tile floor for a solid fuel boiler in FIGS. 1 and 2 are for illustrative purposes only and form no part of the claimed design. As indicated in FIG. 1, the stepped tile floor for a solid fuel boiler is of variable width.
