Golf training aid

Description

This application is related to the commonly assigned U.S. utility patent application Ser. No. 13/354,062, filed Jan. 19, 2012, and also entitled Golf Training Aid.

FIG. 1 is a bottom plan view of a golf training aid showing our new design.

FIG. 2 is a top plan view of the golf training aid of FIG. 1.

FIG. 3 is a bottom, left, front perspective view of the golf training aid of FIG. 1.

FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view taken along line 4-4 of FIG. 1 showing a club shaft groove in the top surface as well as a separation bulge extending from the bottom surface.

FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view taken on line 5-5 of FIG. 1 illustrating contours of the bottom and top surfaces of the golf training aid along the cutting plane;

FIG. 6 is a cross-sectional view taken on line 6-6 of FIG. 1 illustrating contours of the bottom and top surfaces of the golf training aid along the cutting plane; and,

FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view taken on line 7-7 of FIG. 1 illustrating contours of the bottom and top surfaces of the golf training aid along the cutting plane.

The surfaces shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 are referred to as bottom and top surfaces respectively based upon orientation of the golf training aid when supported in the palm of a golfer's hand.

The golf training aid is used to help place a golfer's hands on a golf club shaft in a correct hitting position while gripping the golf club shaft.
