The nature of the design is a device through which a combined drive and idle wheel engages on the edges of a circumferential metal guide band attached to a pipe of any diameter which is positioned to be butt welded to another pipe of identical diameter. In use the embodiment of the ornamental design traverses around the edge of the aforesaid circumferential metal guide band in order to butt weld the adjacent ends of the two pipes.
