Description

FIG. 1 is a front view of a hook protection device, showing my new design;

FIG. 2 is a rear view thereof;

FIG. 3 is a top view thereof; and,

FIG. 4 is an elevated side view thereof.

This hook protection device is installed on a treble-style fishing hook.

The central extension (part a, FIG. 1) is inserted through the top portion (eye) of the fishing hook and attached to the associated barb of said fishing hook.

The side extensions (parts b and c, FIG. 1) are attached to the remaining two associated barbs of the fishing hook.

The purpose of this design is to provide protection for a fishing hook while fishing in areas heavily populated with weeds, and other debris.

This design is different than previous designs in that it attaches through the eye of the hook, and attaches to the hook without the need of removing the hook from the fishing lure.
