  • Patent number: 4133103
Abstract: A comb assembly for an electric dry shaver is provided with a perforated central comb panel and two end comb panels disposed adjacent the edges of the central comb panel and having long hair slots. The end panels and the central comb panels are separately fabricated from stock materials of different predetermined thicknesses and assembled to form an accurate and smoothly interfitting comb assembly. Thus, the thickness of the central comb panel is determined independent of the end comb panel thickness. The central comb panel, fabricated from a stock material of a uniformly thinner thickness than that of the end panels, requires no grinding in the fabrication of the comb and thus results in a more uniform thinner comb than obtained with grinding operations.

  • Patent number: 4133106
Abstract: A folding knife has a blade and a pair of overlying scales all mounted on a pivot post. A lock pin and lock hole on the scales retain them in registry for blade use or storage. A stud on one scale engages a semi-circular slot in the blade and swings it to an extended position during a full turn of the scale around the pivot post, and a corresponding turn in the reverse direction retracts the blade. A blade guard between the scales serves as a stop or abutment for two different parts of the tange of the blade to limit extension and retraction. Spring means are built into the pivot post to yieldingly press the lock pin into the lock hole to prevent unintentional movement.

Abstract: In an embodiment shown, the invention comprises a dual-chambered housing which has a spring clip integral therewith for replaceably clasping the housing atop a fishing rod. One of the chambers replaceably receives a battery and a light bulb, the two substantially comprising a classic flashlight assembly, in which the bulb has its base in contacting engagement with a center-end terminal of the battery and its filament globe exposed externally of the one chamber. The threaded bonnet or shank of the bulb is received in a metal disc to which is connected a first electrical lead. The first lead is passed therefrom and into the other of the two chambers. The other chamber also receives one end of a second electrical lead which also passes therefrom into the one chamber for contacting engagement with the other-polarity end of the battery. within the other chamber, the ends of the leads are spaced apart to define an interruption in the "flashlight assembly" circuit.

  • Patent number: 4133131
Abstract: A portable fishing rod storage and support apparatus generally comprised of a hinged, two-piece foldable support platform having clip members connected thereto for removably holding a fishing rod and reel assembly. In one mode, the two-piece support platform may be placed in an unfolded, planar position and suspended from a wall for storing or displaying a multi-section fishing rod and reel assembly. In another mode, the two-piece support platform may be placed in a folded, angular position and anchored to the ground via staking assemblies, along side a body of water, for holding an assembled fishing rod and reel assembly at a predetermined angle in relation to the water. A locking brace is connected between the two pieces forming the support platform for selectively adjusting and maintaining a desired support angle.

  • Patent number: 4133132
Abstract: A protector for covering the front face of a "plug-cut herring" to maintain the front face of the plug at a predetermined angle. The protector is basically a cap having a planar face and a cylindrical wall adapted to extend rearwardly along the sides of the herring when the inside surface of the cap member abuts the front face of the herring. A pair of spaced apart apertures are formed in the face of the cover for allowing a leader terminating in a pair of hooks to extend through the cover. The speed at which the herring oscillates as it is towed through the water is determined by which of the two apertures the leader passes. The plug-cut herring protector may be formed of a wide variety of materials and colors and it may be fabricated in a variety of sizes to accommodate a wide range of plug sizes.

  • Patent number: 4133133
Abstract: A reel holder for fishing rods comprising inner and outer concentric tubular elements for locking the reel holder to a rod and a separate reel-locking mechanism provided on the outer tubular element. Each end of the inner tubular element is slotted and formed with a raised flange. The outer tubular element is slidably positioned between the raised flanges of the inner element and has a threaded end bearing a nut which has one end extending beyond the threaded end. The raised flanges of the inner tubular element, the opposite end of the outer tubular element and the one end of the nut are so contoured that when the reel holder is positioned on a rod and the nut is partially unscrewed, the outer tubular element and nut bear against the raised flanges to cause the opposite ends of the inner tubular element to simultaneously grip the rod.

Abstract: A fishing lure comprising an elongated hollow tube which holds a supply of water-soluble scented bait for attracting fish. The tube is rotatably mounted about an elongated coaxial spinner shaft which protrudes outward from both ends of the tube. The tube is free to rotate relative to the shaft. Axial flow of water is achieved through the tube for release of soluble bait material while fishing.

  • Patent number: 4133135
Abstract: A fishing lure in the form of a spinner bait having two wires supporting two spinner blades in alignment with a hook. In one embodiment, two wires extend from the head of the bait and are attached to the eye of the hook inside the head. Each wire includes a laterally extending portion in alignment with the hook and in alignment with each other for supporting a pair of spinner blades. The wires are secured together by a coil spring or other structure with the longer of the two wires having an attaching eye formed thereon for connection with a fishing line. In other embodiments, the two wires are connected to each other or associated with the head in various ways to retain alignment of the blades and hook. The two blades provide a lure which will run true and straight and reduce the tendency of spinner bait from rolling over or varying to the right or left.

  • Patent number: 4133136
Abstract: An animal trap having two similar frames each having jaw forming sides and ends extending between the sides to support the jaws. The ends have a central portion in which the frames are pivotally engaged through adjacent ends for rotation about a common axis between set and closed positions and outer portions on each side of the central portion of the jaws. At least one actuator capable of rapidly and forcefully effecting the rotation is present. The actuator has two arms spring biased at one end so that the other ends, which terminate in rings encircling adjacent ends of both frames on opposite sides of the axis would, if unobstructed, move apart to a distance substantially greater than the length of the frame ends. There are trigger means for releasably maintaining the trap in set position.

  • Patent number: 4133138
Abstract: A base supports a chamber having an upper portion that defines an air exit aperture, a middle portion that has a plurality of air entry apertures and a closed, lower portion that forms a soap solution reservoir. An apertured, bubble forming ring is mounted within the chamber for rotation about a horizontal axis and has its lower portion extending into the soap solution reservoir. An air impeller is mounted within the bubble forming ring for rotation about a vertical axis. When the toy is actuated, the apertured bubble forming ring carries films of soap solution from the reservoir into the upward air current emitted by the air impeller to form a multitude of upwardly projected bubbles.

  • Patent number: 4133139
Abstract: A line-controlled, centrifugal fan, jet-propelled model airplane is disclosed in which the impeller of a fan contained within the fuselage of the aircraft is driven from a remote drive unit by an elongated flexible cable contained within a flexible sheath. The impeller rotates about an axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the airplane and is driven in a direction of rotation tending to rotate the airplane about its lateral axis in a nose-up direction, due to the frictional contact of the compressed air between the rotating impeller and the housing of the centrifugal fan mounted within the fuselage. This abstract is not to be construed in any way to define or limit the invention set forth below.

  • Patent number: 4133140
Abstract: In a safety mechanism for highway exit ramp, dual motions are provided in the structural operation of the mechanism wherein a warning member, such as a length of barrier or semaphore, is pivotally mounted between an upright position and into a horizontal and cautioning disposition across the roadway, but in addition, the warning member itself is horizontally pivotal in the event that a moving vehicle should strike the same. The mechanism includes a detection member, such as either a protruding device capable of being pivoted by the vehicle passing thereover, or an electronic detecting device as provided in the roadbed of the ramp and when encountered by a vehicle travelling in the wrong direction disengages a detent that releases a spring mounted rack that turns its pinion for pivoting the warning device across the roadway.
