Abstract: A new and distinct variety of Floribunda rose plant is provided having highly attractive double white flowers with a yellow center. The new variety resulted from the crossing of the Ma Perkins variety U.S. Plant Pat. No. 1,143) and an unnamed seedling resulting from the cross of the Charlie McCarthy variety (non-patented) and the Easter Morning variety (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 2,177). The new variety is a vigorous grower and can easily attain a height of twenty-four inches in a growing season. This new variety is particularly well suited for garden use, but also thrives in a greenhouse environment.
Abstract: A new and distinct variety of Leucothoe is provided. While the new variety is believed to have resulted from the cross-pollination of Leucothoe fontanesiana with pollen from Leucothoe axillaris, this cross cannot be confirmed. The new variety is low growing and spreading and possesses narrower, more lanceolate leaves than other varieties which are believed to have originated from the same cross.
Abstract: A large capacity drainage receptacle for flush mounting in a surface to be drained including an especially configured mounting flange from which a receptacle body integrally depends. The drainage receptacle is formed of light weight thin-wall stainless steel and is configured to demountably support a strainer basket therein for catching and retaining solid foreign materials and for demountably supporting a flush mounted perforated cover plate thereon for supporting traffic passing over the drainage receptacle.
Abstract: A heating vent is disclosed in which A T-shaped housing of light weight sheet metal is inserted in the plastic vent hose of an electric clothes dryer to provide passages through which the dryer is vented either outdoors through the vent hose or indoors through a sock-like filter having its open end stretched over the lateral outlet of the housing according to whether a pivoted valve member in the housing is in its summer or winter position.
