Abstract: A new and distinct variety of nectarine tree which is of large size with upright vigorous growth; the tree being a regular and productive bearer of large, firm, yellow flesh clingstone fruit having yellow skin color substantially overspread with red and having excellent eating and shipping quality, maturing 3 to 4 days later than Zee Gold nectarine (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 3,087).
Abstract: A new and distinct variety of Leucothoe is provided. While the new variety is believed to have originated as a cross-pollination of Leucothoe fontanesiana with pollen from Leucothoe axillaris, this cross cannot be confirmed. The new variety possesses smaller foliage which is less lanceolate than other varieties which are believed to have originated from the same cross.
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of chrysanthemum plant named Yellow Limelight, and particularly characterized by its flat capitulum form, daisy capitulum type, bright yellow ray floret color, diameter of 35-40 mm. across the face of the capitulum, medium pot plant height, and semi-upright branching pattern.
Abstract: An apparatus attached to a motor driven manipulating instrument for detecting and identifying specific forces employed in moving the instrument along a predetermined spatial track. The apparatus includes a center portion rigidly attached to the manipulating instrument and a sleeve member surrounding the center portion. A plurality of separate, flexible blades join the sleeve and center portions to each other, with a separate transducer fixedly attached to each flexible blade and capable of detecting bending forces employed to move the sleeve and attached instrument. The transducers generate output signals indicative of the magnitude and direction of the forces, which signals are used for establishing a program for controlling the actuation of the various motors to allow the instrument to repeatedly execute the course set forth in the program.

Abstract: An automatic control system for an automotive vehicle in use with a microcomputer has a checking system for checking an input unit, a ROM, a RAM and an output unit of the microcomputer. The checking system comprises a means which stores various checking programs to be executed for checking above-mentioned elements of the microcomputer. The checking system effectively operates to check the elements without causing expanding of duration of execution of the checking programs.
Abstract: The invention provides a hold-down device which maintains a net downward force on a fuel assembly in a nuclear reactor under all thermal and hydraulic conditions in the reactor core region. The hold-down device is particularly applicable in reactors having stainless steel support barrels and Zircaloy guide tubes. The hold-down device of the preferred embodiment of the invention is comprised of coil springs coaxially disposed about alignment posts which extend upwardly from the top end plate of each fuel assembly. A hold-down plate is slideably mounted on the alignment posts and the coil springs are interposed, in compression, between the hold-down plate and the top end plate. In use, the coil springs bias the hold-down plate upwardly against a core alignment plate to provide a downward force on the fuel assembly. The hold-down plate may also serve as a lifting surface for the fuel assembly during fuel handling.
