  • Patent number: 4663839
Abstract: A cabinet push lock has a key plug held by a retaining pin engaged in a circumferential groove in the key plug and mounted in a bore coplanar with the pin tumbler bores. The pin tumbler stacks are held in their bores by an elongated cap mounted in a groove closed at the front and extending across both the pin tumbler bores and the retaining pin bore. The cap is held against endwise movement, as by interlocking with the sides of the groove. The groove side walls are staked at spaced areas to releasably retain the cap, and other areas are reserved for subsequent restakings. The retaining pin bore, an aligned diametric bore in the key plug, and a bottom opening in the lock body provide a passage for transmission of thrust to drive a portion of the cap out of the groove to permit cap removal. The diametric bore in the key plug contains a drive pin to block the key slot, and a key stop ahead of the drive pin blocks an additional portion of the key slot.

The handguard assembly has a shell with an upper and lower row of vent holes (36) formed by two shell sections (31), an outer liner, formed by two outer liner sections (35), with upper and lower rows of vent holes (58) and an inner liner, formed by two inner liner sections (33), with upper and lower pairs of laterally opposed rows of vent holes. An outer annular volume (94), an intermediate annular volume (92) and an inner annular volume (90), which are in fluid communication, are defined within the shell by its inner periphery and the liners. Air flow in the inner volume cools the barrel and gas tube (22) and air flow in the outer and intermediate volume maintains the shell at a reasonable temperature during repeated firings.

  • Patent number: 4663881
Abstract: A water-soluble weight is disclosed for attachment to a fishing line, hook or lure by means of a closed loop of thread or string embedded in and extending from the weight which is preferably of essentially hemispherical shape. The weights are formed by filling appropriately shaped cavities in a mold with a mixture consisting essentially of water, soil (preferably a silt-clay mixture having a USDA texture of silt loam) and 10-30 mesh stone. The mold rests upon a layer of resilient material (e.g., sponge rubber) which in turn is attached to a rigid layer mounted by resilient means upon a base plate. Openings in the resilient layer overlie recesses in the rigid layer, the openings and recesses being aligned with openings in the bottom of each mold cavity to permit insertion, with the aid of a tool having a notched end, of the thread or string through the mixture in the mold cavity into the underlying recess.
