  • Patent number: 4711036
Abstract: A pendulum operated, oscillating bow sight is disclosed for use in aiming a bow and arrow. A sighting pin is moved through the range of sighting distances by a lever having a pendulum counterweight on one arm and a sighting pin operatively connected to the other arm. As the elevation of the bow is changed, the pendulum remains in the same relative position, the lever acting to move the sighting pin for an accurate sighting of the target. Only the sighting pin projects into the sight window of the bow, thereby assuring the archer full visibility from the pin to the target, the operative mechanism being mounted on the side of the bow opposite the sight window.

  • Patent number: 4711037
Abstract: A measuring device for universal application includes a parallel-crank mechanism directly rotary mounted on the slider of an isosceles centered slider-crank mechanism. The measuring element or pin is adapted on the coupler of the constrained guide mechanism. All points of coupler plane including the measuring element are moved along exactly straight lines parallel to each other at right angle to the axis of the slider. The simple change-over of a lever against its other abutment turns the active direction of a spring and enables the resetting of the measuring device from internal to external measurement. Alternatively, two-point or three-point or relative measurements can be executed. The modular unit system permits, if desired, an arrangement of two or more of the constrained guide linkages according to the invention on the sliding axis whose sliders are rigidly connected in groups of preferably three.

  • Patent number: 4711038
Abstract: Run-through brick drying plant, which operates by the chamber dryer principle. The brick loads (T) to be dried are brought through a front door (16a) into the drying chamber (K.sub.1). After drying, the brick loads (T) are removed from the opposite side of the drying plant through the rear door (16b). The brick drying plant comprises two or more drying chambers (K.sub.1,K.sub.2,K.sub.3) connected in series, each of which said chambers (K.sub.n) operates independently so that, when the brick loads (T) are shifted from the preceding drying chamber (K.sub.n) into the subsequent drying chamber (K.sub.n+1), in the latter chamber (K.sub.n+1) the drying of the brick load (T) is continued substantially from the point of the drying formula that had been reached in the drying in the preceding chamber (K.sub.n). There are at least two, preferably three or more, drying chambers (K) in series, and there are one or more groups of chambers obtained in this way, side by side.

  • Patent number: 4711040
Abstract: An apparatus for continuously thermally treating an elongate textile product such as a slide fastener stringer tape having oil includes a housing having a preheated chamber for preheating the textile product and a main heating chamber for heating the elongate textile product after it has been preheated to give off an oily smoke. Part of the oily heated air in the main heating chamber is discharged out of the housing through a heat exchanger which supplies heated air of lower temperature to the preheating chamber. To remove a tar deposit from the heat exchanger, the supply of cold air to the heat exchanger is cut off and the heat exchanger is heated by the heated air discharged from the main heating chamber. The tar deposit is then melted and collected by a tar collector. The main heating chamber has inlet and outlet slots for the elongate textile product, the inlet slot opening into the preheating chamber and the outlet slot opening into an outlet chamber communicating with the preheating chamber.
