Abstract: A new daylily plant having a distal leaf blade area of generally a yellow-green, olive-green and/or yellowish-green hue; the abaxial side having a distal blade area with an inconspicuously mottled, splotched basic field usually dominated by a yellow-green, olive-green and/or yellowish-green hue; spots and splotches generally lighter than that of the basic field but dominated by a yellow-green hue. Inflorescence shade is generally green, yellowish-green, olive-green and/or yellow-green hue; bracts being generally yellow-green hue and lighter in the basal and marginal areas. Branches of the corymb are dominated by a yellowish-green and/or yellow-green hue. The flower is very fragrant. Free portions of the petals are crispate-undulate in a narrow marginal band in the petal distal area; the distal area a basic field that is interrupted on the adaxial side, by a narrow axially extending stripe.
Abstract: A new variety of Ivy Geranium having proven to be superior in plant habit, bloom color and heat tolerance than Galilee, the current market Ivy Geranium now available. The new variety also has smaller darker leaves and earlier bloom than Galilee. The medium green foliage is accented with a darker green zone. The clear, clean pink has less tendency to burn or shatter. This combination creates a full, beautiful hanging basket.

Abstract: A new and distinct Geranium plant known by the cultivar name Duelyr is characterized by a purple color, many inflorescences and double flowers, slight zonation, compact growth, and very early flowering.
Abstract: A new and distinct variety adds a new color to the Ivy Geranium class. The "Geranium" red color accents the medium green foliage. This variety is also much hardier in higher temperatures than those Ivy Geraniums currently on the market.

Abstract: A combined pump and oil reservoir and oil delivery apparatus directs oil to the internal chambers of a portable sewing machine where oil is distributed by pump pressure, gravity flow, capillary action, wicking, misting and movement of machine components. Oil is pumped into a manifold leading to upper and lower main drive shaft bearings and to the needle driving assembly for subsequent dispersion during rotation and reciprocation of machine parts to fling such oil outwardly within the internal chambers to oil machinery both directly and by misting.
Abstract: A first magnetic material film is deposited on a support, a groove is etched in the first magnetic film which is shaped like a figure eight, a double coil is formed and is wound respectively around the two central pole pieces. An insulating material layer is deposited and etched in step form, the step having a side facing the central channel. An .[.magnetic.]. .Iadd.amagnetic .Iaddend.film is deposited on the thus etched step, and the film is etched so as to only leave a wall perpendicular to the plane of the films. This is followed by the deposition of a magnetic film and then a protective layer, the assembly being divided off so as to expose two pole pieces separated by an .[.air gap.]. .Iadd.amagnetic gap.Iaddend..
Abstract: In a plastic molded tote box having one lid or opposed lids that will shingle with other lids in the open position when the box and like boxes are nested, the maximum horizontal dimension for the shingled lids, as measured outwardly from the adjacent box side wall (lid flare), is reduced by tapering the lid rib structure toward the hinge, and/or by tapering the outboard lid skirt toward the hinge, and/or by flaring one or more lid flanges, particularly the inboard flange. The latter two structural features permit increased nesting of the lid side skirts or channels, which in the closed position of the lid overlie the box side walls.
Abstract: This invention relates to an aircraft having three lift surfaces, and precisely a main wing lift surface located in an intermediate position of the aircraft and two less extended lift surfaces positioned, respectively, in a position ahead of the main wing surface and astern thereof.

Abstract: A plasma is generated within an induction coil and the plasma is sampled through an orifice into a vacuum chamber for mass analysis of trace ions in the plasma. Arcing at the orifice is prevented by grounding the induction coil at or near its center, thus eliminating ultraviolet noise and reducing average ion energies and ion energy spread, as well as preventing destruction of the orifice. The elimination of arcing at the orifice allows the use of a sharp edge orifice structure to prevent formation of a cool boundary layer over the orifice and also permits direct sampling of the plasma. The direct sampling and the lack of cooling prevent recombination and reaction of the ions with oxygen and improve the response to elements of high ionization potential, increasing the desired ion signal and greatly reducing the presence of oxides which would otherwise complicate the spectrum.
Abstract: A sharp point (5) is brought so close to the surface of a sample (4) to be investigated that the forces occurring between the atoms at the apex of the point (5) and those at the surface cause a spring-like cantilever (7) to deflect. The cantilever (7) forms one electrode of a tunneling microscope, the other electrode being a sharp tip (8). The deflection of the cantilever (7) provokes a variation of the tunnel current, and that variation is used to generate a correction signal which can be employed to control the distance between said point (5) and the sample (4), in order, for example, to maintain the force between them constant as the point (5) is scanned across the surface of the sample (4) by means of an xyz-drive (3). In certain modes of operation, either the sample (4) or the cantilever (7) may be excited to oscillate in z-direction. If the oscillation is at the resonance frequency of the cantilever (7), the resolution is enhanced.

Abstract: A toe piece for a safety ski binding having a pivotable rearwardly facing soleholder for releasably engaging the sole of a ski boot, a pedal having a series of ramps inclined towards opposite sides of the binding and joined by flattened junctures and engageable by lower support elements when the pedal is subjected to downward and sidewise forces for receiving forces which offset the frictional forces resulting from the engagement of the boot and the pedal. The toe piece further includes a second set of transverse ramps engageable by upper support elements when the pedal is subjected to upward and sidewise forces for receiving forces which offset the frictional forces resulting from the engagement of the boot and the pedal.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is an adjustable endless belt particularly adapted for use in high speed power transmission and commonly termed a fan belt. The belt is comprised of a length of flexible and durable polymeric material, having a central longitudinal channel extending therethrough and a length of flexible and durable cord slightably disposed within the channel and extending the length thereof. The desired belt size is determined by cutting the length of polymeric material with the cord contained therein to the desired length, pulling a portion of the cord from one end of the length polymeric material, applying an adhesive to the exposed cord and the ends of the polymeric material and inserting the exposed cord within the open channel then defined by the other end of the length of polymeric material.
Abstract: A motor device utilizing ultrasonic oscillation, which comprises an ultrasonic oscillator including an elastic body and one or more piezoelectric, electrostriction or magnetostriction elements assembled in or on the elastic body, and a movable body movable in a fixed direction. A portion of the ultrasonic oscillator and a portion of the movable body are held pressed against each other. A progressive wave, which is generated by a longitudinal wave and a transverse wave, is converted to a uni-directional motion of the movable body.
Abstract: The invention proposes an imaging process by nuclear magnetic resonance in which a calculated image is given corresponding to the molecular diffusion value at each point of an investigated medium. The diffusion image is obtained by comparing images relative to same sections of the medium and acquired during two excitation sequences, whereof one is not very sensitive to the diffusion and the other is particularly sensitive thereto. These two images undergo comparison in order to produce a diffusion image.
