Patent number: 5079856Abstract: A shoe sole (1) manufactured of one or more pieces of a resilient material, such as plastics, natural or synthetic rubber, including a recess extending from below the heel and forward to the forefoot. The recess only allows the longitudinal circumferential rims of the shoe sole to come into contact with the walking surface when the user of the shoe is standing on said walking surface. A shock-absorbing projection (2) is provided in the recess opposite the heel bone of the foot, said projection not coming into contact with the walking surface at a low pressure load. At a high pressure load, such as when the user is walking or running, the shock-absorbing projection (2) comes into contact with the walking surface. The larger flange portion and a small flange portion extend from a base portion and form a cavity for receiving an edge of a dry wall sheet. The trim may include separate finishing pieces which snap-on to an outer surface of the small flange portion of the framing pieces. Alternatively, the small flange portion of the framing pieces may be formed with a finished surface thereby dispensing with the need for separate finishing pieces.Type: GrantFiled: June 15, 1990Date of Patent: January 14, 1992Inventor: Eugene Reid -
Patent number: 5079881Abstract: An injection packer for injecting a synthetic resin into cracks in concrete has an elongate plastic body having a longitudinal injection channel, an injection nipple arranged at the rear end of the plastic body and communicating with the injection channel, and a sealing cuff made of a plastic material which is softer than a material the plastic body is made of, and fitted in a positive inter-engagement manner around the front end of the plastic body.Type: GrantFiled: September 7, 1990Date of Patent: January 14, 1992Assignee: Fischerwerke Artur Fischer GmbH & Co. Patent number: 5079882Abstract: A seal adapted to be mounted on an edge of an element such as, for example, a sheet metal panel or non-sliding glass of an automobile, and of the type comprising a sealing portion fixed to a channel or U-portion which can be engaged on the edge of the element, the seal comprising, at least one lip articulated to the channel and projecting into the interior of the channel, the lip having a portion for bearing elastically on a wall of the element, and of a profile in the form of an arc of a logarithmic spiral centered on a point of articulation of the lip on the channel, the sprial having a profile wherein the angle made by a radius vector of the spiral with the normal at the point of contact of the lip on the element is less than the angle of friction between the respective materials of the lip and the element.Type: GrantFiled: June 20, 1990Date of Patent: January 14, 1992Assignee: Automobiles Peugeot and Automobiles CitroenInventor: Bernard Bahout

Patent number: 5079883Abstract: The invention provides a box for the passage of pressurized liquid through masonry work of small thickness, particularly dividing walls, the box (1), firmly secured to a plastic sheath (4), also embedded in the masonry work (2), allowing plastic material pipes (5) to be installed for pressurized liquids. Said pipe (5) passes through the case and the sheath with radial clearance, which makes it possible to change it for maintenance purposes, the parallelepipedic shaped box having a large opening on which a lid (3) is placed, this lid carrying the connection of the pipe (5) formed by holding means and sealing means.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 1990Date of Patent: January 14, 1992Assignee: Legris SAInventor: Daniel Belisaire

Patent number: 5079884Abstract: An extendible stud, consisting of two substantially identical Z-studs each of which has opposed flanges of substantially different widths and inwardly turned lips at the flange outer edges, and each Z-stud having a central raised ridge in its web, raised in a direction toward the wider flange, which two Z-studs are interconnected by the narrow flange of each being held within the channel formed by the wider flange of the other Z-stud along with its associated lip and web. Also the method of interconnecting two Z-studs and the method of erecting hollow partitions with the extendible stud.Type: GrantFiled: June 4, 1990Date of Patent: January 14, 1992Assignee: National Gypsum CompanyInventor: Robert J. Patent number: 5079885Abstract: An insulated wall assembly which combines strength with good insulating qualities includes spaced apart, elongated wooden posts, which are I-shaped in cross section; and elongated rigid foam plastic panels extending between adjacent posts, the panels being generally cruciform in cross section so that projections on the lateral edges thereof extend into the recesses of the posts while the front and rear or outer and inner surfaces of the panels are in the same planes as the outer and inner surfaces of the posts. Alternatively, the panels are parallelepipedic blocks with longitudinally extending, rectangular grooves in the sides thereof for receiving splines, which connect the blocks to rectangular, grooved insulating inserts in the posts.Type: GrantFiled: February 13, 1991Date of Patent: January 14, 1992Inventor: Richard Dettbarn

Patent number: 5079886Abstract: A decorative panel which simulates the exposed surfaces of installed glass blocks. The panel, which is transparent, semi-transparent or translucent, has a variety of configurations simulating various combinations of 2", 3", 4", 6", and 12" glass blocks such that an installation of the panels in adjacent relationship can be adapted on-site to provide almost any rectangular planar area with the glass block effect. Each of the panels is adhesively secured to an existing planar glass surface therebeneath. A layer of air trapped between each of the relatively thin panels and the underlying glass surface provides a thermal barrier for insulating purposes. The underside of the panels can be tinted, frosted, etched or sculpted whereby a window containing the underlying glass surface is rendered translucent, providing visual security.Type: GrantFiled: May 21, 1990Date of Patent: January 14, 1992Inventor: Gary L.
