Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of Geranium named Fishog, particularly characterized by the combined features of light salmon pink flower color, semi-double flower form, medium green foliage with strong zonation, and vigorous growth.
Abstract: A connector system for electrically connecting contacts of a flexible printed circuit carried by a daughter board with fixed contacts carried by a mother board, the flexible circuit serving as a connector to circuits on the daughter board, and the contacts of the flexible printed circuit arranged on an edge of the daughter board. Guides on the mother board enable the daughter board to slide in guided, edge-wise direction toward the face of the mother board, with the contacts on the flexible circuit in registry with contacts on the mother board. Driven cam/locking means carried by the mother board engages mating structure on the daughter board to press the edge of the daughter board tightly toward the face of the mother board in locking motion while camming the daughter board bodily laterally over the surface of the mother board whereby the contacts wipe upon one another as they move into locked position.
Abstract: A process for electroplating metals in an electroplating cell in which the anode current efficiency of the cell is greater than the cathode current efficiency. Buildup of excess metal in the cell is counteracted by circulating the plating solution through an electrowinning cell and plating out the excess metal onto cathodes in the electrowinning cell. The amount of current flowing through the electrowinning cell is controlled so that the amount of the said current which results in the deposition of metal is at least substantially equal to the amount of current flowing through the electroplating cell which results in the evolution of hydrogen gas.
Abstract: A miniaturized Q-switch is added to the resonant cavity of a compact laser diode pumped solid state laser to produce short high peak power pulses. Q-switching the compact diode pumped solid state lasers takes advantage of the relatively high gain and short cavity length to provide a desirable combination of pulsewidth and pulse energy. Nd:YAG or Nd:YLF are useful solid state laser materials for Q-switching, or other longer lifetime rare earth ions such as erbium or holmium for greater energy storage. The Q-switch is formed of a material such as TeO.sub.2, SF.sub.10, or LiNbO.sub.3 with an acoustooptic figure of merit substantially greater than fused silica. Pulsewidths of 10-50 ns are achieved at pulse energies of 10-20 microjoules. TEMOO output is easily produced by the compact laser pumped solid state resonator. Applications include materials processing, link blowing in semiconductor memories, marking and scribing, and optical time domain reflectometry.

Abstract: A .[.snack.]. bag.Iadd., such as for example for snacks, .Iaddend.including a bag within a bag wherein the inside bag is inverted with its ends opposed to and portions thereof secured to the opposed ends of the outside bag, with the sides of the inside bag being opposed to, and in substantial engagement with, but not secured to, the sides of the outside bag to provide a substantially air tight seal therebetween, and with the bottom of the inverted inside bag being spaced from the bottom of the outside bag to provide .[.a snack.]. .Iadd.an object .Iaddend.receiving container comprised of the opposed bottoms, sides and ends of the inside bag and portions of the sides and ends of the outside bag. Access to the .Iadd.objects such as .Iaddend.snacks is readily provided by permitting the hand of a person to be readily inserted between opposed sides of the bags which sides, after the hand is withdrawn with the .Iadd.objects such as .Iaddend.
Abstract: A wet suit has a lower trunk portion, leg portions integral with the lower trunk portion, upper trunk and neck portions, and first and second arm portions integral with the upper trunk and neck portions, and includes the upper trunk and neck portions including a first section integral with the first arm portion and a second section integral with the second arm portion, the sections defining a split that extends therebetween, downwardly and sidewardly, to terminate at a locus in sidewardly offset relation to the center of the lower trunk portion; and connector structure on the sections to interconnect them along the length of the split, and protective structure to protect the connector structure.
Abstract: An orthopedic pant garment consisting of identical front and rear panels wherein the outer edges of at least one of the garment leg portions is releasably interconnected by fasteners, preferably of the hook and loop type. The fasteners are spaced from each other to provide medical apparatus access to the wearer's leg or hip and as the entire vertical length of a leg portion may be opened at its outer edge by releasing the fasteners, full access to the leg is possible while preserving the patient's modesty and dignity.
Abstract: An arrangement for detachably holding seats (2) to the bowls of water-flushed toilets and comprising a number of arms (10) which can be adjustably attached to the underside of the seat (2). The free outer ends of the arms (10) are provided with pins (11) which can be locked in positions against the outside of the bowl rim of the toilet when the seat (2) is placed in position on the bowl. The arms (10) are pivotally mounted and can be locked in selected positions. The pins (11) are provided with a sleeve (12) of rubber or plastic material which generates a frictional force in contact with the toilet bowl. The arms (10) pivot around a screw (19) which is screwed into the underside of the toilet seat (2) and which in one position enables the arm (10) to be adjusted positionally and in another position locks the arm.
Abstract: A control device including an inlet pipe and an outlet pipe disposed in the water tank, a valve disposed on top of the outlet pipe, a pawl rotatably supported on top of the inlet pipe, a float slidably engaged on the inlet pipe, a pusher extended downward from the float, the float will be caught by the pawl when the float moves downward, the outlet pipe will be closed by the valve after all of the water has been discharged, and the float will not be caught by the pawl when the knob is released right after depression so that the float may move downward to push the valve.
Abstract: A device for installation in the tank of a standard toilet, which saves a significant quantity of water by limiting the duration of the flush each time the toilet is flushed by normal operation of the flush handle, yet it allows the operator to select a full flush by simply holding the handle down for approximately 3 seconds before releasing it. Since approximately 75% of all flushes are to eliminate liquid waste, and such flushes typically require 50% to 70% of the water needed to eliminate solid waste, this device can substantially reduce the water usage in a household or business. For new installations, the device is constructed as part of a modified overflow pipe. A second embodiment, intended for retrofit in existing toilets, is constructed in such a way as to allow it to be quickly and easily clamped over the overflow tube in the toilet tank, bringing the benefit of water conservation with convenience and at relatively low cost.
