Abstract: A new and distinct variety of apricot tree which is somewhat remotely similar to the Castlebrite apricot tree (unpatented), but from which it is distinguished therefrom by producing fruit which are mature for harvesting and shipment approximately two weeks later than the fruit produced by the Castlebrite apricot tree and which further produces a high quality, fresh market apricot of medium size and possessing an unusually high degree of red skin coloration in a distinctive striped pattern and has a substantially richer flavor and possesses better balance.

Abstract: A Chrysanthemum plant named Rapture particularly characterized by its flat capitulum form; spoon daisy capitulum type; dark red-purple ray floret color; diameter across face of capitulum of 76 to 89 mm when fully opened, when grown as a pinched spray pot mum; and 89 to 102 mm when grown as a pinched disbudded pot mum; photoperiodic flowering response to short days of 48 to 56 days; plant height, with 15 to 18 long days after sticking unrooted cuttings, and with 1 application of 2500 ppm B-9 SP, ranges from 20 to 25 cm when grown as a pinched pot mum with 4 cuttings in a 15 cm pot; branching pattern is spreading and prolific, each plant having 5 to 6 laterals after pinch; and recommended as both disbud and spray pot mum.
Abstract: A Chrysanthemum plant named Corrida particularly characterized by its flat capitulum form; spooned anemone capitulum type; light purple ray floret color; diameter across face of capitulum of 76 to 83 mm when fully opened, when grown as a single stem spray cut mum; flowering response in Salinas under normal temperatures is 49 to 55 days after start of short days; flowering response in Bogota, Colombia under temperatures of minimum 6.
Abstract: A universal handle for household and other hand-held implements, the handle being adapted to ergonomically render the implement to which it is applied useable by individuals who have diffculty in firmly grasping a conventional handle. The universal handle, which is fabricated of elastomeric material having good thermal isulation and cushioning properties, includes an internal cavity to socket the core shank of the implement. The handle has an ellipticl cross section, the opposing sides of the handle adjacent its upper end each having a concave depression, in each of which an array of spaced, flexible fins is anchored to define a depressible grip site. When the fingers of a user's hand are clenched about the handle, the internal region of the resultant fist conforms to the form of the handle to provide a good grip thereon, the thumb and forefinger pressing into the grip sites to enhance the user's grip on the handle.
Abstract: A machine for driving and variable length cutting of the paper used in the armature of an electric motor rotor. The machine comprises a feed distance covered by the paper between shaping rollers, over which a pressure wheel is located which pushes the paper against a ledge and then slips. A paper cutting blade is inserted between the wheel and the ledge. Transfer devices located between the blade and the ledge transfer the cut paper to a bending fixture, which gives the paper the shape of the rotor slot. The paper is pushed into the rotor slot by inserting devices. The rotor is moved from the conveyor on which it is supplied to a suitable position to receive the paper. Locking elements connected to the ledge vary the length of the cut paper with respect to the height of the rotor slots where the paper is inserted.

Abstract: A device for uniform and discretely controlled deposition of small quantities of viscous material at each of a succession of locations on a surface according to a digital X-Y-Z program. A particular application is for deposition of a viscous solder flux or slurry of very small solder particles in such a flux material, through a small (needle) orifice. A pumping valve is driven, typically by pneumatic pressure, during the brief dwell time of the needle at each programmed X, Y location, on an electronic circuit board or the like. A mechanical contact member is provided for automatically optimizing the needle orifice height (Z dimension) over each programmed location irrespective of irregularities or curvature of the plane of the circuit board. In an optional embodiment spaced needle orifices provide contemporaneous deposition of the viscous material.
Abstract: An elastic band comprising a plurality of spaced elastic members and a pair of flexible sheet materials on opposed sides of the elastic members, the elastic members being secured in a stretched position to each of said flexible sheet materials.
Abstract: The present invention is for a face mask/earplugs case designed for on-site use by construction workers. Both face masks and earplugs are needed on an intermittent basis by construction workers when on site. The face mask/earplugs case of the present invention is attachable to a piece of clothing, thereby providing accessible storage of the face masks and earplugs when not needed. In one preferred embodiment, the case attaches to a helmet and is configured to substantially conform to the footprint of the helmet, thereby not obstructing or limiting the mobility of the wearer.
Abstract: A ventilating system includes a manifold connected to the interior of a toilet bowl, and a system for continuously moving air from that toilet bowl to a discharge system. A flow control valve prevents water from moving through the system and includes a cage containing a ball both of which are oriented nearly horizontally with the valve preventing water that is inadvertently located in the air flow path from moving through the discharge system, and a solar energy-driven expansion chamber is connected to the discharge conduit to establish a flow producing pressure gradient throughout the system.
Abstract: A toilet covering hinge assembly has a damping capability for damping the motion of the toilet covering from a raised to a lowered position upon a toilet. The assembly includes a hinge shaft connecting the toilet covering to the rear of the toilet so as to be rotatable together with the toilet covering between the lowered and raised positions. Also connected to the hinge shaft is a dashpot which is secured on the side of the toilet and comprises a cylinder containing a volume of damper fluid and a rotor rotatably received within the cylinder. The rotor receives the hinge shaft to be rotatable together therewith and is provided with a flap extending outwardly into the damper fluid. The flap is pivotable relative to the rotor such that the flap is caused to, in response to the toilet covering moving from the lowered to the raised position, pivot into a folded condition where it receives no substantial resistance from the damper fluid and is caused.
Abstract: A removable toilet seat cover comprising deep pile carpet for cushioning of the rim of a rigid toilet seat and elastic bands that aid the elderly in positioning the cover on a seat for securing by the closing of overlapping flaps equipped with VELCRO.RTM.-type fabric hook-and-link fasteners.
