Abstract: A new variety of spray carnation particularly distinguished by its very large flowers which are borne in a cluster, the petals of which are light pink in color and greenish at the base, the blooming habit being both recurrent and profuse during the blooming seasons of Spring and Fall. This plant has a vigorous, upright growth habit and moderately abundant foliage.
Abstract: A new standard carnation particularly distinguished by its continuous and profuse production of medium sized blooms of a solid Signal Red color borne singly on strong upright stems having a length of 90 to 100 cm. with moderately abundant foliage and growing from a vigorous upright bush having a total height of about 150 cm. and having a very rapid growth habit.
Abstract: A pallet made of corrugated material employs stringers in which panel portions therewithin are secured in oblique positions, against the external sidewall panel portions to afford enhanced lateral stability and resistance to failure.
Abstract: A motorcycle includes a fuel tank mounted on a frame along a length thereof, and an elongated seat mounted on the frame above the fuel tank along the length of said frame, the seat having a bottom having a portion extending along the length thereof and disposed in spaced opposed relation to an upper surface of the fuel tank to form an air intake passageway therebetween. The passageway has an open front end opening toward the front end of the frame and having a rear open end. The seat has a front end disposed near a front end of the fuel tank so that the seat covers generally the entire upper surface of the fuel tank. An air cleaner is operatively connected to an engine and is disposed rearwardly of the fuel tank. The rear open end of the passageway is in communication with the air cleaner whereby the ambient air can be fed to the air cleaner through the air intake passageway.
Abstract: A pay telephone station having a lower housing coin chute (14) which is provided with a coin fraud prevention unit (10) in the form of a thin base (15) arranged in a slot (11) of a coin channel cover plate (12). The base (15) is provided with a pawl (23) having a tooth (24) with a chamfered face (25) which is biased into the path of a coin passing through a coin path (39) by a torsion spring (26). An anchor (59) for connecting a handset (56) to the upper housing coin dial unit (50) of the station includes a base with apertures (63, 64) and a V-shaped body (65) with a notch 66 defined between surfaces (69, 70). A long thumbscrew member (74) with a textured gripping surface connects the anchor (59) to a projector (51) integral with the upper housing (50). The handset cord assembly (A) is first passed through an aperture (54) in the projection (51) and then through the aperture (64) in the base (60).

Abstract: A pocket garb composed of front and back pieces is provided with pockets of large capacity on the front and back pieces, wherein the back piece pocket has two upper and lower openings, available to be separated with a partition in the middle, the said large pocket can be partitioned into two small pockets for use according to requirement, the front piece pockets have a side opening each adjacent to a joint of a left piece and a right piece, with a covering attached on it to cover up pocket openings, shoulder parts of the said pocket garb are fastened with fastenings, the garb can be developed into a flat piece after untieing the fastenings to facilitate putting in or taking out articles. When going out, valuables, bank notes, credentials, etc. can be put into the garb and safety can be guaranteed on wearing it.
Abstract: Sports glove, and more specifically a golfing glove, comprising tightening and tension means incorporating a tightening strap (3) which is slightly extensible or inextensible and is attached to a first end (31) on the dorsal metacarpal region (10), and which extends over a first length (32) in the direction of a first axis (X, X') and fits into an intermediate buckle (4) attached to the glove and positioned so as to be offset in proximity to the areas forming the edge (11) of the glove. The tightening strap extends over a length (33) which, beginning at the intermediate buckle (4), runs along a second axis (Y, Y') ending in a second end (34) which is movably attached, at least partially, to this metacarpal dorsal area (10) or to the wrist (12) area of the glove. The first axis (X, X') and the second axis (Y, Y') are offset by a positive angle (.alpha.).
Abstract: A pliable hinged nonbuoyant flapper valve having a frusto conical projection for centering the valve in relation to a toilet drain, and for permitting the flapper valve to contact a toilet drain valve along a continuous line of engagement of seal the toilet valve. A chain connects the flapper valve to a toilet control lever. A ball float having a positive buoyancy slightly greater than the mass of the flapper valve is interposed an an adjusted location between the lever and the flapper valve for holding the flapper valve in an opened position to allow a predetermined volume of water to flow through the toilet drain.
Abstract: A water conserving toilet tank adapter device (10) is provided for use in tank reservoirs (14) of conventional toilets (12). The adapter (10) is a retrofit device for insertion into the tank outlet (18) which effectively raises the level of the drain so as to reduce the amount of water utilized in each flushing cycle. The adapter (10) includes; an outlet tube portion (30) having an interior diameter which is less than that of the tank outlet (18); a swirl disk portion (32), having swirl grooves (46) formed on a construction slope (44) for imparting angular velocity to flush water flowing therethrough; an extension portion (34) for raising the effective drain height; and a flapper rod portion (36) for supporting a conventional ball flap valve (24). An adaptive ring (38) is provided to assure a watertight seal with angularly arrayed tank outlets (18).
Abstract: A multi-gasket sealing assembly or mount is disclosed for improved mounting of a swimming pool water skimmer in an opening in a pool wall of the type having a metal wall portion and a flexible inner sheet liner. The water skimmer has a housing defining a water inlet chamber for intake of water and an annular chamber end portion which protrudes through the pool wall opening. The housing also has an outwardly projecting peripheral flange spaced from the chamber end portion, the flange being bolted to the metal wall portion. A continuous gasket is located around the chamber end portion. An annular face plate is connected to the chamber end portion to compress the gasket and also to press the pool liner against the metal wall portion to prevent water from getting behind the liner. Another gasket is compressed between the peripheral flange and the metal wall portion to seal against the ingress of sand and other particulate matter into the skimmer from behind the pool wall.
