Abstract: A screening machine has a rotating screening drum for screening dirt or other material to a desired size through the screen openings, and is made so that it reduces clogging of the screen, even when rocks, dirt clods, and moist dirt is being screened. The rotating drum has interior brushes and a beater bar for keeping the material moving on the interior of the drum. A holding bin and feeding conveyor is used at the input end of the machine and is positioned to empty into an input pulverizer or shredder, that has a powered drum that will break the dirt clods up. The holding bin has a cover grate to remove excessively large rocks and the like. The output from the pulverizing roller also drops material onto a grate through which the material passes before reaching the screening drum. These grates are called "grizzly bars" and help in the classification process. The screening drum can be converted to a mixer drum by lining the screen wall with sheet metal and removing the normally used interior brushes.

Further, a copying apparatus has a controller which inhibits a copying machine from starting to operate when both a non-sorting mode and a stapling mode are selected at a time and when the input number of copy sets is .[.more than.]. 2 .Iadd.or more.Iaddend., and may cancel the stapling mode during the sorting operation in the stapling mode and continue the sorting operation even after canceling the stapling mode.

Abstract: A wall hanging toss game includes a generally flat, rigid member having a first surface suitable for printing with a plurality of recesses formed therein spaced from one another. A plurality of generally thin, wafer-like hook material targets are adhesively secured to the rigid member in the recesses of the first surface, such that the targets appear generally flush with the first surface and appear separated from one another by open areas of the first surface, wherein the ratio of open area to target area is preferably greater than one to one dependant upon the particular design desired. A shock absorbing projectile covered with or made of loop material is capable of being securely held in place when in contact with the hook material targets and reduces bounce-back when impacting the non target areas. A catch member is provided for catching and supporting the projectile, when the projectile hits the first surface and falls vertically downwardly after missing the targets.

Abstract: A start circuit for starting the generation of pulse width modulated switching pulses is disclosed for use in a DC/DC switching converter power supply. The starting circuit is responsive to the initiation of a DC voltage source and starts the operation of a pulse generator. The starting circuit also includes a relaxation oscillator connected to the DC voltage source for periodically generating a start pulse at a predetermined frequency. Ongoing power is coupled to the pulse generator once the generator begins operation. The relaxation oscillator is selectively disabled when the pulse generator is powered by the ongoing power supplied by the power supply during normal operation. The start circuit further includes a delay function for delaying the disabling of the relaxation oscillator for a preselected period after shutdown of the power supply and includes a rapid start function for reducing the time between restoration of input power and the operation of the start circuit.

Abstract: A MOS dynamic type RAM comprises memory cells (10), dummy cells (11), bit line pairs (BL, BL), word lines (WL), dummy word lines (DWL) and sense amplifiers (12). In a non-active cycle, the potentials of each pair of bit lines (BL, BL) are precharged at 1/2 of a supply potential V.sub.CC. Each sense amplifier (12) operates in an active cycle following the non-active cycle, while each active pull-up circuit (13) pulls up the potential of a higher level one of the pair of bit lines to V.sub.CC. This active cycle is defined by an internal RAS internal signal, which is generated by a NAND circuit (27) in response to an external RAS signal and an RPW signal obtained by delaying the external RAS signal by a delay circuit (20) and having a trailing edge obtained by delaying the trailing edge of the external RAS signal by a prescribed period.

Abstract: A two-step process to make a poly(arylene sulfide sulfone) polymer exhibiting improved high temperature properties is described. In the first step a prepolymer characterized as dihalo-terminated polyethersulfone oligomers is prepared by reacting an aromatic diphenol with an excess of a dihalo aromatic sulfone. In the second step the excess dihalo aromatic sulfone and the oligomers are copolymerized in the presence of a sulfur source to form a poly(arylene sulfide sulfone)polymer. An alkali metal carboxylate is present in the second step. The polymers exhibit improved softening temperature and glass transition temperature and are useful in high temperature applications.

Abstract: A visor adaptor assembly for use in conjunction with an aviator's helmet pted for supporting a helmet sighting system and night vision enhancement device. A support with vertical slot is adaptable to be mounted on a helmet and further includes a connector partially projecting through the slot with a connector extension coupled to the connector. A visor extension is connected to the connector which is coupled to an aviator's visor and a position adjustment nut is releasably coupled to the connector extension. Manual adjustment of the nut along the vertical slot adjusts the aviator's visor vertically within the support.

Abstract: An apparatus and method to renovate collars on existing athletic shoulder pads, which can be utilized either for replacing or covering worn collars. The collar renovation system includes a uniquely shaped replacement collar cover which is stretched over and around the existing shoulder pad cover and then fastened to and around the existing shoulder pad cover.

Abstract: A hair cap has a ceramic paper cap of a ceramic paper material sandwiched between an inner cap and an outer cap which are both formed of an impermeable synthetic resin material and when used in permanent wave hairdressing or bathing, will encourage the waving or curling of the hair and the metabolization of the head skin with the heating action of far infrared rays emitted from the ceramic paper cap.

Abstract: A removable liner for lining a forehead-contacting portion of a headgear of a protective head covering such as a hard hat includes a piece of material configured with a bottom edge, side edges extending outwardly and upwardly from the bottom edge to a top edge, and a top edge with top edge end portions sloping upwardly to a central top edge portion. Fastening means, such as snaps, are provided at the ends of and intermediate the top edge of the liner with respective mating fastening means at the ends of and intermediate the bottom edge so that the liner can be folded around the forehead-contacting strap and flap and the fastening means fastened to hold the liner in position. The fastening means along the bottom edge of the liner are all offset inwardly or toward one another from their respective mating fastening means along the top edge so as to provide a good fit around the strap and flap with a minimum of bunching and wrinkling.

Two apertures (22) and (22a) means are contained in said connections to allow the skin to breathe. Said connections are attached to a lightweight easily expandable material as a backing (14) with a top stitching means running throughout the facial screen with connecting elastic.

Abstract: A decorative stopper is provided for fitting in the inlet of an existing garbage disposal unit located in a sink drain hole and provided with a sink flange. The stopper comprises a side wall defining a bore and carrying an external sealing member for releasably engaging the inner face of the bore of the existing sink flange, an upper flange extending radially outwardly from an upper end of the side wall for covering the upper face of the existing sink flange, a strainer member extending across the bore and a lower wall extending across the bore below the strainer member and including a plug member moveable between a sealing position and an open position in which fluid may drain through the stopper. A plug operating member extends upwardly from the plug member and through the strainer member to allow the plug member to be lifted to the open position.

A lever (2), whose horizontal axis of rotation (5) is mounted on a float housing (6b), is pivoted with the trigger (9) in one or the other direction of rotation. To induce flushing, the trigger (9) is moved in the downward direction with a release knob (1) against the restoring force of a spring (24). The trigger (9) now engages a pivotable arm (9b), and the lever (2) is pivoted such that a valve tube (4) connected to the lever (2) is raised, and the valve opening (11i) is thus opened. If the release knob (1) is moved once again in the downward direction after a partial flushing, the trigger (9) will engage another pivot arm (2a), and the lever (2) will again be pivoted into the starting position, in which the outlet opening (11i) is closed.

The support (1) comprises two lateral elements (6; 66) for its fixing to the wall (5), and a central channel-shaped body (4) for containing the water feed and waste pipes (15), with said lateral elements (6; 66) there being associated two rods (88) for fixing and supporting the corresponding appliance (2; 20; 200).

Abstract: A portable toilet has (1) a seat with an opening; (2) an annular bag arranged beneath the opening for collecting waste, the upper edge of the bag being secured to the seat; and (3) an overall framework for supporting the seat which may be folded together to save space when the toilet is not being used. A supporting edge is provided around the inside of the opening through the seat for holding the annular bag and the bag is suspended from the holder by a relatively rigid collar around the top of the bag. The framework comprises at least two facing components articulated to the seat.

Abstract: A whirlpool jet which can be fixed to a bathtub and provided with water and air supply pipes under pressure, characterized by a valve with a central protrusion washed by the water on its external surface, opening in a centre air flow hole and pushed by a spring into a normally closed position, in contact on its external surface and that of the centre hole, respectively with the end of a pipe through which the mixture of air-water is discharged, and the end of a rod on the axis of said pipe.
