    Abstract: An improved therapeutic ultrasonic toothbrush for daily removal of soft plaque, disruption of the bacterial colonization process within the gingival pockets, the reduction of the recurrence of aphthous stomatitis, and for the acceleration of the healing of the sores of the oral cavity. The device includes a handle constructed of a rigid material, a battery pack, an electronics driving module, a piezoelectric member, and a removable brush head. The piezoelectric crystal resonates, expands and contracts volumetrically, in tune with the frequency supplied by the electronics driving module and thereby converts the electronic energy into sound-wave energy. The sound waves loosen up the bound between the bacterial plaque and the teeth and disrupt the bacterial colonization process within the periodontal pockets and the mucous membranes of the oral cavity. Ultrasonic emission from the back side of the brush accelerates healing of sores of the oral cavity.

At an apex in the base edge there is provided a projecting boss which cooperates with an adjacent knife edge for use in freeing plastic lids of large paint cans of the type in which the lid has an apertured depending skirt. Work areas are provided between the collar and the side edges of the blade for performing various scraping and puttying functions, opening small paint cans and tightening and loosening wing nuts. At the bottom of the handle there is provided a hammerhead for setting nail pops.

    Abstract: A wiping system for cleaning snow accumulating on the rear signalling lights of a vehicle, using intermittent blasts of air. The blast wiping system comprises timers and a solenoid valve for regulating a flow of air from the air reservoir of the vehicle into intermittent gushes of air. The wiping system comprises also supply tubing for connecting the solenoid valve to the air reservoir of the vehicle, nozzles for directing the intermittent gushes of air toward a surface of the vehicle's lights, and delivery tubing for connecting the solenoid valve to the nozzles. Each nozzle of the blast wiping system is placed near a lower quadrant of the light surface. Each nozzle is further oriented to deflect a gush of air in a tangential upward direction relative to the surface of the light, whereby a layer of snow on that surface is lifted off and blown away in a patch-like formation.

The gauge holder has a plurality of gauges thereon radiating in different directions therefrom, those gauges being of different lengths and being selectively engageable with the support.

The scoring or slitting has the effect of bringing the ratio between the shrink forces acting on the two sides of the forming fabric in the cross-machine direction closer to unity, and, in turn, reduces or eliminates the edge curl resulting from shrinkage in the cross-machine direction.

    Abstract: A method of making the ejector tubes which serve to guide the ejectors used in molds, for example those used in injection molding comprises a series of operating stages performed on a tube which is the starting point. The first stage is the cutting of a length of the tube to the desired length, with diameter oversizing to allow for subsequent truing. The second stage involves reducing the diameter at one of the end sections. The third stage consists of pretruing the outside, the fourth stage being machining the inside of the end section with total concentricity. The fifth stage involves induction treatment, and this is followed by the sixth stage which is the truing of the outside to obtain the desired outside diameter. In the seventh stage the inside diameter of section is trued, and then finally, in the eighth stage the front section is refaced, thus obtaining an ejector tube for moulds in general. Optionally, a butt may be formed on the rear end of the tube.

A trench is cut into the ferrite substrate material and filled with an insulator to produce a more efficient write element. A recess is then formed in the ferrite substrate having a geometry sufficient to hold a deposited thin-film conductive coil below the surface of the ferrite substrate. An insulator is then deposited on the ferrite substrate to form a gap spacer as well as to insulate the conductive thin-film coils from the ferrite substrate. The conductive thin-film coil is then deposited on the ferrite substrate in the recesses.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus for encapsulating a payload in a shroud and mounting the resulting assembly on a launch vehicle. An encapsulation cell is provided for containing a payload to be encapsulated in a shroud. That cell is maintained at a "clean room" level of cleanliness. A shroud having a cleaned and sealed interior is placed on the roof in a vertical orientation. A seal arrangement seals between the shroud near its lower end and the roof, creating an airlock. The roof panels below the shroud are opened and the payload is lifted into the shroud through the opening and secured in the shroud. The opening is then closed, the seal retracted and the assembly of payload and shroud moved to a bay where it is mated to a space launch vehicle. This cell and encapsulation system eliminates the need to clean the shroud exterior and any need for a very large clean room cell to house the payload, shroud and lifting device.

    Abstract: A method of producing a rocket thrust chamber in which cooling tubes are positioned within a structural jacket to form a tube bundle, and a liner is positioned within the tube bundle thereby sandwiching the tubes between the jacket and the liner. The tubes are then subjected to high internal pressure and inflated while the liner is simultaneously subjected to the same high pressure, thereby forcing the tubes into intimate contact with adjacent tubes, the liner and the jacket. The tubes, liner and jacket are then subjected to ultrasonic vibrations to bond the tubes and jacket into an integral structure.

The signal values from the Hall Effect sensor are signal processed to better discriminate the precise location of the magnetic marks on the cable.     Abstract: A dryer control system for controlling the drying of polymer plastic pellets within a dryer hopper is provided. A series of temperature snap switches and pressure switches are strategically located within the dryer control system to cause a variety of passive fault lights to be activated to signal faults while the system continues to operate or to cause an alarm light to be activated which stops the drying cycle. The passive fault lights indicate a situation within the drying cycle which should be corrected but which is not sufficiently serious to stop the drying cycle. An alarm being activated, on the other hand, indicates a situation which requires shut-down of the drying system until the problems which caused the alarm are corrected. A programmable logic controller and a temperature controller control the operation of the system by receiving signals from the snap switches and pressure switches throughout the system.
