  • Patent number: PP9691
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of Impatiens plant, botanically known as Impatiens wallerana, and named `Salmon Sunrise` is provided. This new cultivar was the result of a controlled breeding program wherein a plant designated 434-2 (non-patented in the United States) was pollinated by a plant designated 394-3 (non-patented in the United States). The new cultivar is early blooming and forms in abundance attractive fully double salmon blooms. The foliage is medium green. The plant exhibits a good basal-branching character and exhibits an upright mounded growth habit. The new cultivar can be readily distinguished from the `Rosebud Salmon` cultivar (non-patented in the United States) in view of its propensity for earlier blooming, smaller flowers, and larger leaves.

  • Patent number: RE35377
Abstract: An intergrated recycle process for the production of methanol from a process synthesis gas produced by hydrogasification of a condensed carbonaceous feedstock to produce a process gas which is reacted in a steam pyrolysis reactor with additional natural gas and steam to produce said synthesis gas containing hydrogen and carbon monoxide in more than a 2:1 molar ratio which constituents in turn are reacted in a methanol synthesis reactor to produce methanol. The important factor in this process includes the sequence of reactors of the condensed carbonaceous material: a hydrogasification reactor; the stream and natural gas pyrolysis reactor; the methanol synthesis reactor and the recycling to the hydrogasification reactor of the hydrogen-rich gas stream remaining after the methanol synthesis and separation of the methanol product.

  • Patent number: 5572760
Abstract: A cleaning apparatus with a rotatable frame in a housing. Objects to be cleaned are placed on the frame. A cleaning fluid is sprayed onto the objects to rotate the objects and frame. As the objects and frame rotate, the frame pushes against scrubbers which are thereby also rotated with the frame. Since the scrubbers themselves are mounted on a sum and planetary gear arrangement, the scrubbers spin against and thus clean the objects as they are being pushed by the rotating frame. Accordingly, the scrubbers are rotatable with the frame and rotatable relative to the frame. The scrubbers are still further slideable in the same direction relative to the rotatable frame to scrub each of the objects from end to end. Hence the objects are cleaned by spinning and sliding scrubbers as well as by the cleaning fluid being sprayed directly onto the objects. A method of cleaning objects or tools is also disclosed.

The switch device has a bush-button which is located at the proximate end of the handle. Consequently, the sound generating apparatus can be activated, while normally holding the handle portion of the toothbrush, by momentarily pressing the proximate end of the toothbrush handle against any appropriate surface.

  • Patent number: 5572764
Abstract: An articulated twin spline windshield wiper blade assembly for acceptance in the claws of a conventional windshield wiper arm assembly comprises a relative high durometer polymeric female spline having a circular channel therein for journaling of a male spline of a relatively low durometer elastomeric material. The female spline has a pair of oppositely directed flanges that are accepted in the claws of the wiper arm assembly and lie in a plane containing the central axis of the circular channel therein to minimize the moment of inertia of the female spline about an axis extending at a right angle to the central axis of the channel therein and parallel to a surface to be wiped.
