Abstract: The cultivar is characterized by its bright clear white colored flower. Its improved rooting ability and prolific flowering provide excellent characteristics not found in other Regal varieties. The plant flowers over a longer period of time than do other Regal varieties and is slow to shatter.

A hood of pile material is sewn adjacent the neck opening and defines a face opening. The hood and/or conventional towel is provided with eyes, nose, ears, and feet of an animal and/or a fowl to create a caricature-like appearance of a particular animal or fowl.

An article defining a head garment is attached to a lower end of the bib panel. Abstract: An improved glove and method of making same whereby the palm portion has only one continuous seam reconnecting the palmar area after its reduction in dimensions to eliminate wrinkling or bunching thereat as well as connecting the unconnected side between the front and back faces. A close smoother fit of the hand at the palm area is obtained in the crease or fold line areas of the wearer's palm where an overlapped seam is created as manufactured or in modified gloves for improved gripping. In addition, one continuous seam makes assembly of the glove both easier and faster.

Abstract: Headwear providing protection against the sun includes a crown, brim and drape all formed of a lightweight, water repellant fabric and which is readily foldable into a flat condition. With the brim extending no less than 180 degrees about the crown lower edge and conjoined to the drape, full circle shielding against sun rays is achieved. Flotation of the headwear is assured by the inclusion of a closed cell foam layer intermediate two fabric layers defining the brim. The provision of open mesh ventilation panels in the lateral portions of the crown dissipates heat buildup within the crown while alternate positioning of the drape is accomplished through the engagement of a releasable fastener element on the lower portion of the drape, with a mating fastener element on the rear of the crown. Adaptability to various head sizes is facilitated by the action of an elasticized segment at the rear of the headwear plus the alternate provision of an adjustable strap assembly.

Abstract: A transport hood is provided to protect conveying personnel, such as law enforcement personnel, from contact with blood and body fluids issued by a detainee. The transport hood acts as a barrier between the blood and body fluids of the detainee and the surrounding environment to protect personnel who transport, or convey, the detainee while in custody from being infected with communicable diseases, such as HIV and AIDS. The transport hood includes a top portion and a bottom portion. The top portion is made of a fine plastic or fabric mesh which is transparent. The bottom portion is made of a plastic or fabric cloth which is impervious to the bacteria, blood and body fluids issued by the detainee. A first length of elastic joins the top portion to the bottom portion and gathers the top portion of the hood just below the eyes of the detainee.

Abstract: A system for attaching two parts of a shower enclosure together which eliminates screw type fasteners and affords ease of fastening. The system includes a locking bar positioned in a cavity of a shower enclosure structural member wherein the bar can move transversely on the upper surface of another shower enclosure member when in a first position but when in a second position the bar restrains transverse movement. In a preferred embodiment, the locking bar is rotated on its longitudinal axis to the second position to cause the locking bar to deform a portion of the upper surface as well as move past and be retained in an overcenter position.

Abstract: A built-in sink made of a plastic composite material is secured in an opening formed in cover plate having a surface for placing a downwardly facing supporting surface of the built-in sink thereon. A securing element having a main body is attached to the built-in sink. A clamping member is held on the main body for displacement in the direction transverse to the cover plate and adapted to be tightened against and supported on the cover plate. A clamping screw is held in a thread of the main body for pressing the clamping member against the cover plate, the thread of the main body being oriented transversely to the cover plate. In order to minimize the manufacturing costs, a slot extending at least approximately parallel to the cover plate is provided in an underside area of the built-in sink located opposite the circumferential surface of the cut-out opening in the cover plate.

Wheels are mounted on the base, and a vertically adjustable first post is rigidly connected to the base frame, spaced from the rear portion and near the front portion. The first post includes mounting means spaced vertically from the base frame. A removable chair is provided having a backrest. The mounting means includes cantilevered connecting members mounting the chair in a cantilevered manner from the first post towards and over the rear portion. A vertically adjustable footrest means is provided over the base and is adjustable between an upper position and a lower position. A table platform is spaced forwardly and above the chair.

Two connecting elements are arranged in the mediate portion of the base; each connecting element is pivoted to one of the support rods. The other two support rods which are not pivoted to the connecting elements are also connected with a respective one of the connecting elements. Two holders, two pivotal rods, two mediate rods and two mediate supports used to support the base are provided wherein the pivotal rods are pivoted to both the connecting elements and the mediate supports at two ends and the mediate rods are pivoted to the holders at one end and connected to the mediate support at the other end, and the support rods pivoted to the connecting elements are further connected to the holders such that the bed can be collapsed into a compact one after one pulls the base upward from the mediate portion thereof.

Abstract: A bedding cover is described for use on a bed. The cover has a flap positioned at its center, and extends laterally from one side to the other. The flap may be folded to cover one or the other ends of the cover, and is large enough to fully cover the selected end. The flap has the bedding pattern of one end of the cover on one side and of the other end of the cover on the other side so that when it is folded to cover the first side, the entire surface of the cover presents a uniform appearance, and when it is folded to cover the other side, the entire surface of the cover presents a uniform appearance also, but of a selected different design or color, etc. In a second embodiment, the reverse side of the cover may be constructed to provide a third and a fourth appearance when the cover is turned over.

The system is adapted to recognize and interpret each type of signal being received, despite the type and/or make of the particular transducers. The system has resident memory for storing data to enable trend analysis or downloading for patient data records.

The mattress assembly includes a lightweight frame member with openings on all four sides and a breathable slip-on mattress cover which fits snugly over the frame. An infant is positioned upon the mattress over the bed frame opening, thereby allowing the air to pass through the breathable mattress cover.

Abstract: A multi-purpose tool having a pincer-head implement which may be detached from the handles of the tool. The handles are provided with multiple implements, such as screwdrivers, files, blades, or the like, which are slidable between a retracted position, within the handles, to an extended position, extending outwardly from the handles. The handles may be detached from the pincer-head, if desired, when a handle implement is being used. Alternately, the handle implements can be used while the handles are attached to the pincer-head implement. Different pincer-head implements may be provided with the handles, including pliers, shears, wrenches, scissors, and the like. The handles are each provided with a receiver for receiving the free ends of the pincer implement, and the receiver may also be used to receiver socket-type tools, such that the handle acts as a socket, or other tool driver.

Abstract: A cleaner for swimming pools includes a housing having a pressure differential chamber with an opening defined by opposing walls and an oscillator pivotally mounted within the opening on a pivot axis extending between the walls. A seal is loosely fitted within a recess along a side of the oscillator for movement outwardly across a gap between the oscillator and the wall of the opening to close the gap when necessary for purposes of starting the oscillator and for opening the gap when required to allow grit, leaves and the like to pass through.

Abstract: A brush-type sweeper unit includes a prism-like body that has a base with an open front part, an open front face, and an upper face provided by a removable cap from which a handle for moving the sweeper unit extends. The body also includes parallel sidewalls between which first, second and third shafts extend, with the second shaft being between the first and third shafts. Front and rear cylindrical brushes are mounted on the respective first and second shafts, and a set of front wheels are also mounted on the first shaft at opposite ends thereof. Mounted on the third shaft are a set of rear wheels that are in edge-to-edge frictional engagement with a set of driven wheels on the second shaft. In this way the rear brush is driven by rotation of the rear wheels transmitted through the driven wheels, with rotation of the rear brush being in a direction opposite to the rotational direction of the front brush.

Abstract: A golf grip cleaning device mounted on a support which is in turn mounted on a base. The base can be stationed at the tee box of the golf course or can be mounted on a golf car itself. For convenience and economics, the entire assembly can be made out of readily available PVC plumbing parts. The washer section includes a tube having a plug at the bottom end and a cap at the top end. The cap has an open mouth so that the golf club can be inserted into the tube. The tube is aligned vertically and has a series of brush rings stacked in the tube and spaced from each other by spacers inserted between each brush ring. The brush rings include bristles projecting radially inwardly toward the axial center of the tube with the brush tips terminating generally in a circular pattern. The diameter of the circular pattern of the brush tips is generally consistent throughout the length of the tube and at a diameter equal to or slightly larger than the maximum outside diameter of the grip of a standard golf club.

Abstract: A brush for cleaning foodstuff, especially fragile foodstuff such as ears of fresh corn and mushrooms. The brush has a handle portion which supports many straight rows of bristles. The rows of bristles are not parallel but get closer together near one end of the brush. The bristles are fabricated from a very soft polymer and are positioned at different heights along the bottom of the brush. The shortest bristles are near the center so that the brush can be used on a curved surface such as an ear of corn, a mushroom, or a carrot among other fruits and vegetables.

A shroud member is secured to the top of the body of straw-like members and has a front wall, a rear wall, a top wall and a substantially open bottom. The shroud member includes a pair of spaced apart rail members for retaining the dustpan which is adapted to slidably fit therebetween.

Abstract: An adjustable trowel to facilitate formation of a coved corner between two structural panels comprises a blade having two laterally spaced trapezoidal-shaped, rigid wing segments integrally joined along parallel inside edges by an intermediate segment which is of rectangular shape and of reduced thickness compared to the rigid wing segments to allow flexure in the zone occupied by the intermediate segment. Affixed to each of the rigid wing segments are handle mounting brackets that overlap one another and include an arcuate slot therein for receiving a handle mounting bolt therethrough. By tightening the bolt, the wings are held at a selected angle to one another and with the intermediate segment assuming a desired curvature.

Abstract: A tip-resistant canister for use in wet/dry vacuums is disclosed. The tip-resistant canister has recessed caster supports and a skirt for resisting tipping. The recessed caster supports lower the center of gravity of the canister thereby making the canister more difficult to tip. The skirt of the canister, on the other hand, strikes the ground whenever the canister does begin to tip thereby preventing the canister from falling completely onto its side. The impact of the canister skirt against the ground also has a tendency to cause the canister to return to an upright position.

Abstract: An apparatus for opening drains and the like includes a suitable vacuum/pressure source such as the inlet/outlet ports of an enclosed motor driven fan, together with a control mechanism for selectively applying vacuum/pressure pulses to a partially or completely blocked drain for loosening and purging the blockage. The hinge mechanism comprises a case, a hinge shaft supporting the seat or the seat lid and supported in the case for rotation and axial movement, a fluidic damping mechanism formed between the case and the hinge shaft, and a resilient means biasing the hinge shaft in one direction.

Abstract: The device of the present invention can be attached to a round door knob to make the door knob easy to turn by pushing a levering handle. The handle and clamp are in two pieces that are fastened together to form a single door knob clamp and handle. The two pieces are adjustable relative to each other so the clamp can be opened and closed allowing attachment to a variety of different sized and different shaped door knobs. Easy to install and easy to remove, the invention is designed to remain on the door knob once it has been installed, but it can be removed if desired or necessary. A child cord is affixed through an aperture in the free end of the handle making it easy for a child to open a door.

The torque rod has a pair of end portions connected by a convoluted portion. The convoluted portion has a plurality of legs connected by at least one U-shaped bight portion. A slider block and/or pivot block may be clampingly mounted on the convoluted portion to vary the stiffness of the torque rod spring assembly. The hinge strap assembly may include a hinge box, a hinge strap and a single convoluted torque rod which connects therebetween. Alternatively, the hinge strap may be boxless having a hinge strap and a torque rod upon which the hinge strap is pivotally mounted. An end of the torque rod may be directly affixed to the rear shelf thereby eliminating the conventional hinge box. An insert may be used to pivotally mount the torque rod within the hinge strap.
