  • Patent number: 5680702
Abstract: In a dicing step in which a spout face is formed and a flow path length is defined, for example, a region in a cut depth direction is divided into a cutting region B containing spouts, a region A above the region B, and a region C below the region B. Feedrate v2 when the region B is cut is applied for cutting head material with high quality. Feedrate v1 when the region A is cut is set to, for example, three times the feedrate v2 when the region B is cut, and the blade form is shaped at the feedrate v2. Feedrate v3 when the region C is cut is the same as the feedrate v2 when the region B is cut, whereby affecting the upper cut face is prevented and the yield is improved.

Abstract: There is disclosed a solar energy control film and a siding panel to which such film is applied, the film having a multiplicity of lenticular lenses formed on one side thereof which are preferable about one-tenth to one millimeter wide and having on the surface opposite to that with the lenticular lenses an array of masking indentations in register with the lenticular lenses so that the film is effectively transparent for the passage of light (solar radiation passing through to an absorbing heat collector) only for rays impinging on a structure at prescribed elevation angles. Typically the masking indentations would be arranged to pass light at a low elevation angle corresponding to wintertime solar elevation at the latitude at which the structure is located. In particular embodiments, the indentations in the film are rendered non-transparent by being filled with a liquid or semi-liquid material including pigments or dyes to impart opacity, and in most cases reflectivity, to the material.

Abstract: Documents are printed in accordance with sets of printing instructions. To a processing station, processing instructions are supplied, each associated with one of the sets of printing instructions. The order in which the processing instructions are executed corresponds with the order in which the sets of printing instructions are executed. Printed documents are supplied to the station, which processes the documents in accordance with the processing instructions whose turn is next. In order to check the processing of the documents, starting from one of the printing instructions, associated verification data are determined. The printing on the printed documents is scanned, whereby a scanning result is obtained. A scanning result is compared with verification data of which the associated sequence information corresponds with the sequence information assigned to that scanning result. If too large a difference is found, a difference report signal is generated.
