Abstract: An apparatus for longitudinally centering the front and rear pairs of vehicle wheels includes a frame having pairs of laterally movable tables, each for receiving one of the vehicle wheels. Pusher members are engageable with each vehicle wheel. A centering mechanism is connected to the pusher members and normally biases the pusher members laterally outward such that laterally inward movement of one of the pusher members due to engagement with an off center vehicle will be resisted by the centering apparatus which will in turn urge the pusher members laterally outward moving the vehicle wheels and the tables laterally outward to a longitudinally centered position. Preferably separate pairs of tables, pusher members and a centering mechanism are provided for each of the front and rear pairs of vehicle wheels.

Abstract: A visual display with an alignment structure for visually determining a correct display angle and lateral displacement, top to bottom and left to right, for accurate color viewing. A first fixed pattern is located on a surface near a border of the display and a spacer supports a plate, elevated above the first pattern, having a second pattern around a throughole in the plate. The dimensions of the first and second patterns, the elevation of the second, and the throughole diameter are such that when viewed at the intended display angle the image of the first pattern is concentric with the image of second pattern. Alternatively, the spacer may be formed of a transparent member with the second pattern on a planar surface above and parallel to the first fixed pattern. A first and a second alignment structure may be located symmetrically about either side of the display to enable determination of lateral alignment as well as angle of the display.

  • Patent number: 5890303
Abstract: A pilot pressure sensor detects a pilot pressure from an arm operating unit and outputs a pilot pressure signal. A drive signal corresponding to the pilot pressure signal is then outputted from a controller to a solenoid-operated proportional valve. Through the solenoid-operated proportional valve, a pilot pressure is fed to an auxiliary selector valve so that an opening of said auxiliary selector valve becomes greater. Of pressure oil delivered from a first hydraulic pump, a flow rate of the pressure oil to be branched to a side of a by-pass circuit is hence increased. The pressure oil fed through the by-pass circuit passes through a merging directional control valve and is caused to merge with pressure oil fed from a second hydraulic pump. The thus-merged pressure oil is then fed to a hydraulic arm cylinder.
