Abstract: A distinct variety of Chrysanthemum plant named `Warm Sandy`, characterized by its uniformly mounded plant habit; relatively large daisy-type inflorescences that are about 7 cm in diameter; attractive bronze-colored ray florets; numerous inflorescenes per plant; early flowering; and excellent garden performance.
Abstract: A new and distinct variety of a Globba hybrid characterized by dark pink bracts and cranberry colored bracteoles as within the inflorescence. The foliage displays reddish underleaves.
Abstract: A new and distinct cultivar of winter hardy hibiscus plant named `Royal Gems` is the result of a unique hybridi zation. This new and distinct cultivar is characterized primarily as to novelty by its extreme cold hardiness to Zone 4, its dark purple undercurved ovate leaves, its v ery large luminescent pink flowers, its vigorous and uniform growth habit, and its floriferous nature from midsummer until frost.
Abstract: A new and distinct variety of grapevine (Vitis interspecific hybrid (V. vinifera, V. labrusca)) named `Marquis` and tested as NY64.029.01, which originiated as a cross of `Athens` and `Emerald Seedless` is described. This new variety can be distinguished by its large normally yellow-green berries borne on large clusters, excellent flavor, and good cold hardiness. It offers growers and consumers a large, attractive, flavorful fruit that serves as a seedless table grape.

Abstract: The method of playing a card game of the present invention is operated among a plurality of players arranged about a table. The method uses a card deck of 480 cards which consists of 12 modified conventional decks. Each modified conventional deck has an additional four joker cards and has all 7, 8, 9, and 10 cards removed therefrom. According to the method of the present invention, each of the plurality of players places a wager. A first player is assigned the title of banker and is provided three dice. The banker rolls the three dice to determine the assignment of an action button to a second player. The assignment of the action button to the second player is determined from the number indicated by the rolled dice. The first round of two cards is dealt one face up and one face down to the banker, and two face down to the other players in rotation. After all players have received their two cards, the players inspect their hands (consisting of the two hands) and determine whether additional cards are desired.
Abstract: This invention relates to bis mono- and/or bicyclic aryl and/or heteroaryl compounds exhibiting protein tyrosine kinase inhibition activity. More specifically, it relates to the method of inhibiting abnormal cell proliferation in a patient suffering from a disorder characterized by such proliferation comprising the administration thereto of an EGF and/or PDGF receptor inhibiting effective amount of said bis mono- and/or bicyclic aryl and/or heteroaryl compound and to the preparation of said compounds and their use in pharmaceutical compositions used in this method.

Abstract: The invention relates to a sun protective shield worn with a headgear to protect face of a wearer from ultraviolet radiation. The shield is flexible, air permeable and optically transparent so as not to impede breathing or vision of the user. The shield has a first set of securing tabs adjacent the top edge of the shield for securing to a piece of headgear, and a second set of securing tabs for retaining the shield in any of a plurality of folded positions. The second set of tabs engages with the first set of tabs when the shield is partially or fully folded, covering the entire face of the user or only a part thereof.
Abstract: A protective sleeve including a fastener to fasten the sleeve around an arm of a wearer so as to be retained in position. The sleeve extends to the upper arm of the user. The protective sleeve includes an inner layer of water proof material extending the length of the sleeve and an outer most layer of absorptive material covering the inner layer circumferentially. The outer layer acts to retard liquid running along the length of the sleeve.
Abstract: A realistic appearing camouflage system for personal wearing attire in which both the appearance and scale of a natural scene from an environment where the camouflage system is intended to be used is mimicked or enhanced. The camouflage system includes a first article of clothing imprinted with a portion of a photographic image of the natural scene in substantially the same scale as the natural scene. The camouflage system also includes a second article of clothing designed to be worn with the first article of clothing. The second article of clothing is imprinted with a second portion of the photographic image in substantially the same scale as the natural scene. The imprints of the first and second articles are located so that when the first and second articles are worn, the respective imprinted portions of the scene appear substantially continuous and the scene is reproduced both vertically and horizontally.
Abstract: Soldiers frequently form a make-shift shelter from a conventional poncho and the make-shift shelter is commonly called a "hootch" by soldiers. The term "hootch" is used here to refer to the portable shelter/garment, including its stuff sack, of this invention. The shelter/garment is made from pliable and waterproof fabric and is provided with snaps and loops along its edges and along its center line. The snaps and loops are used to hold the fabric in position after it has been folded to define a garment such as a poncho or a malke-shift shelter such as an A-frame. The snaps are arranged in such a way that two portable shelter/garments can be joined together to form a tent to shelter two persons. The portable shelter/garment of this invention was developed for use by the military and by hunters and others in need of a portable shelter while engaged in outdoor activities.
Abstract: A garment fastening system for use with a pair of pants having a pair of adjoining leg segments joined at a crotch area, a waistband encircling the top opening of the pants which parts at a fly opening, wherein the fly opening consists of adjacent fly flaps, comprising hook and loop fastener strips permanently secured to each of the adjacent fly flaps to help individuals who have a difficulty in manipulating a zipper to dress into or out of the pants. In another embodiment, the garment fastening system is used with a dress shirt consisting of a pair of adjacent shirt halves, and a pair of shirt sleeve having a cuff opening, wherein the cuff opening consists of a pair of adjacent cuff flaps.
Abstract: A protective garment including an outer shell, a thermal liner and a moisture barrier, in which the thermal liner includes a flame and heat resistant apertured closed-cell foam laminate. The apertured closed-cell foam laminate comprises a layer of apertured closed-cell foam material positioned between and bonded to a substrate of woven aramid material and a substrate of aramid material of a lesser or equal grade. The thermal liner is appreciably non-moisture absorbent and provides high thermal insulation for its weight and thickness in comparison to prior art thermal liners. Accordingly, the overall weight of the garment is minimized, as is the movement-restricting effect of the liner. The non-absorbency of the thermal liner allows the liner to be positioned between the moisture barrier and the outer shell of the garment so that the liner does not restrict flow of perspiration moisture vapor from the wearer to the moisture barrier.
Abstract: An item of wearing apparel for allowing the convenient viewing of a wrist watch comprising a main body portion forming a main space adapted to encompass the torso of a wearer and with two laterally disposed long sleeves for the arms of a wearer. Each sleeve has an opening at the top for communicating with the main body portion and an opening at the bottom for the wrist of a wearer. An aperture is formed in at least one of the sleeves adjacent to the bottom of the sleeve.
Abstract: A hand mounted pocket for placement on a back of a hand. The hand mounted pocket comprises: a wrist band, at least one finger band, and a pocket panel. The wrist band is annular and is sized to engage a person's wrist. The at least one finger band is annular and is sized to engage at least one finger of a person's hand. The wrist band and the at least one finger band are joined by the pocket panel, wherein an upper portion of the pocket panel is attached to the at least one finger band, and a lower portion of the pocket panel is attached to the wrist band. The pocket panel is sized to extend across a back portion of a hand, the pocket panel has at least one pocket therein.
